Well everyone, here's the second chapter. We are getting a look at Stella and the rest of the Kaslana family's daily lives.
Chapter 2: Sisters Kaslana
Stella POV
Stella woke up in her and her older sister's room. It was a normal day in the place she called home which was isolated Siberia in a cabin in the middle of the woods miles away from the closest people. Not that it mattered to the youngest Kaslana, for her it was a normal day, nothing unusual outside of her sister waking up first.
With that realization, little Stella headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth so she would be in time for breakfast with her parents and older sister. After that Stella headed down the stairs of their house still in her orange-colored pajamas.
"Morning Mom morning Papa morning Kiana," Said Stella as she finished walking down the stairs and headed into the kitchen.
"Good Morning Stella, did you have a good night's sleep,?" Cecilia asked her daughter.
"I did," Stella said back quickly as she sat at the breakfast table.
"That's good," Cecilia said back to her daughter with a smile.
"Morning Kido," Siegfried said after finishing the food that was in his mouth when his second child came down the stairs.
"Morning sis," Kiana said as well as her face stuffed with food when Stella came down the stairs. At that moment the family of four all sat down and ate their breakfast together, which was French toast today as Cecilia had managed to convince her husband to get some eggs when he was in town.
"So kids what are you doing today," Siegfried asked in a fashion that was meant to invoke some excitement. It didn't work as Kiana had found her life to be pretty boring and Stella didn't know anything outside of her current life so she didn't have a concept of excitement outside of her mother making food she wasn't used to.
"Nothing Dad, just same old same old," the eight-year-old Kiana said to her father.
"What is said, '' answered her father Stella as she returned to eating her food.
"Well girls, I know what you are doing," Cecilia said butting into the conversation as she ate her food she continued "You both will be doing your studies especially you Kiana don't you'll get out of it today" The mother of two finished.
"Huhg" Kiana growled at the idea of doing more bookwork her mother had given more than normal since she had returned.
Stella for her part didn't care; she knew on some level why her sister didn't like it but that had more to do with her older sister being a bit too good at it and finding it boring. So the youngest of the family asked her mother a question. "Seconds please," Stella said politely.
"Of course, dear" Cecilia responded with a smile as she went to go get Stella some of the extra food she had made for her family.
Shortly afterward Cecilia got her daughter food which Stella took with joy. Meanwhile, Siegfried got up from the table and started heading to the door. "Well kids, Cecilia I'm off," Siegfried said as he put on a pair of heavy snow boots and a jacket.
"Bye Dad," Kiana said as her father went out the door.
"Bye-bye Papa," Stella said shortly after her sister.
"Have a good day Ziggy" Cecilia said after both her daughters as she called her husband his nickname as he went out the door. "Well once you two are done with your food we'll get to studies," Cecilia said with a smile. Kiana rolled her eyes at this meanwhile Stella didn't respond at all like always.
After both girls and their mother were done with breakfast, they headed off to do their things for the day for the girls' bookwork meant to give them what amounted to homeschooling while their mother would teach them on most days outside of the weekends times she just gave them a set amount of pages to do. That was the current situation of the Kaslana sisters: the elder was done and currently staring into space while on the couch meanwhile her little sister was finishing what their mother had assigned them on the table where they had eaten this morning.
"Stella when are you going to be done," Kiana said in a bored fashion as she lay down on the sofa bored as the house didn't have much to do outside watching their father's tv(anime)and movie collection which they couldn't look at for some reason.
"Almost," said Stella, for her part, she was on the last page of the pages her mother had her due. Unlike her sister, she wasn't as good but her parents always told her that was due to being younger.
"Good, because I have a plan today to have some real fun today!" Kiana said with a great deal of spirit and confidence.
'Really?" Stella said as she finished the page.
"Yup," Kiana said in response before speaking again "You see baby sis Mom is currently in the shower meaning she can't stop us if we go outside!"
"But we already go outside. Why would we need to go outside without her knowing?" Stella asked, a bit confused.
"Well, you know that big hill in the forest near the house is perfect for sledding!" Kiana said excitedly hoping her little sister would understand what her plan was.
"But we aren't allowed to go there," Stella said, confused.
"That is why we are going now it will be perfect!" Kiana exclaimed.
"Ok," Stella said, not sure about her sister's plan but following along due to not having anything better in mind.
About twenty minutes later Kiana and Stella were going into the forest with their sleds to find the older sister's fabled hill.
" We should be there in a few minutes," Kiana said confidently as she continued to walk forward in the Siberian Winter.
"You said we were almost there a few minutes ago," Stella said, a bit confused.
"Well we are just talking awhile because there is more snow than last time," Kiana said with a huff.
"Ok", Stella said without much emotion.
"Haha! We're here to see Stella, your big sister never disappoints!" Kiana said while standing on pointing to the slope they were planning to go down. "Now as the big sister, I shall go down first!" she said with enthusiasm.
She went down the large hill surprisingly fast even if it took Kiana some time to get up it back to her sister.
"Ok, Stella now it's your turn," Kiana told her sister as she held their sled as they stood on the icy hill.
Stella didn't say anything but nodded and slowly got on the girls' sled then pushed herself down. As she went down something felt familiar, almost nostalgic like it reminded her of flying which was odd since both times she had been on a Plane Stella and her sister and been in a cabin that didn't let them see much, not that Stella remembered it.
After Stella's first turn, the girls switched who would go down the hill between them for the next ten to fifteen minutes.
That is when the two got a third member for their trip. "Hello, girls, are you having a fun time?" asked their mother with a voice that was a mix of her anger and genuine interest in their activities.
"Hello Moma," Kiana said with a bit of fear.
"Hello Mother" Stella greeted her mother formally knowing she had done something bad and decided to accept her coming punishment.
"Well good at least you are both being polite about this, now what have your father and I said about leaving the house without asking?" Cecilia said to both her girls in the middle forest.
"We aren't allowed to," both girls said at once with Stella being a bit more monotone.
"That's right girls but you still did it anyway do you what that means?" Cecilia had said in a scolding yet motherly and light tone.
"We have to say sorry," Stella said.
"That is right Stella, now Kiana do you know what the other thing you need to do is," Cecilia asked in a tone that made it clear she knew which daughter's idea it was to go on this little trip into the woods.
"We won't do it again," Kiana awkwardly said to her mother. She knew this was the beginning of her mother's wrath.
"That's nice you girls know what to do when you do something wrong but next time you should do it in the first place understood?" she told her girls.
After which both of them nodded in understanding what she had said.
"That's good now let's get both of you home because it's time for both of you to wash up and eat some lunch," Cecilia said with a smile as her children followed her back home.
Siegfried POV
As Siegfried opened the door to his current home, a cabin near the edge of the Serbian forest, he was greeted by his wife and children.
"Welcome home dear," Cecilia said as Seigfried walked to the door bringing in snow with his shoes.
"Good evening Dada," Stella said, trying to put more complex words into her greetings.
"Hey Dad," Kiana said casually to her father.
"Hello to all of you too," Siegfried said to his family smiling and thinking how he lucked out in life before he took off his boots and jacket and headed to put on something a bit more comfy before dinner.
About ten minutes after he got back changing his clothes into something appropriate for dinner Siegfried after having some of his wife's lovely cooking decided to find out how his girls' day was. "So girls, how was your day?" Siegfried asked his daughters.
"Normal," Kiana said but her sister said something different.
"We went outside when we shouldn't," Stella said without a hint of emotion.
"Really" Siegfried asked.
"They did," Cecilia said to her husband "and because of that I am giving both of them more work tomorrow" she finished.
"I see," Siegfried said with a slight smile while Kiana puffed out her checks in frustration while Stella just ate her food.
Amber POV
In a Schicksal Facility Amber and the Overseer of the organization, Otto Apocalypse looked at a young Valkyrie's training from an observation room above the training grounds.
"Amber, what do you think of her progress?" Otto asked his lab-grown secretary.
"She is doing very well for her age Overseer" Amber replied honestly as she saw the young girl around 12 fighting multiple hologram opponents by herself.
"She is Amber,l I'm surprised reactivating project Galatea worked so well," Otto said to her
"Yes my lord reactivating that project was a wise move after losing both the Void Core and the Death Gem" Amber replied politely.
"Honestly while the Project caught my interest building the perfect Valkyrie from the ground up via genetic engineering and cloning did seem like a reasonable idea at the time our current stock showed to equal any of the subjects they could have produced and with half the cost" Otto finished.
"Why change your mind then my lord?' Amber asked, still looking at the girl fighting.
"Because the times have changed I'm afraid that losing so many of our Valkyries during the second Eruption and with that deficit in personnel will decrease the quality of our soldiers for a period and we lack the aces to make up for it" Otto finished.
"You speak of the loss of C-001 and K-423 Overseer," Amber asked.
"Exactly Amber while my darling Theresa's idea of a new and more advanced Academy might bear fruit in the time it will take I believe it shall take too long to even the odds with Anti-Entropy and their Sovereign," Otto said
Before Amber could respond again the training ended sooner than ethier expected "Well it seems we must greet our young warrior for a job well done" Otto said.
The two went down to the base level to greet the girl there they were met by a young girl about 13 years of age in a black training uniform sweating after finishing what should have been multiple hours of training simulations within a single hour. The girl had White hair and green eyes her face didn't resemble anyone in particular her body despite its age was already quite muscular and well built despite that she could still be regarded as "cute" by some of the girls moved some of her hair out of her face and spoke "When is the next simulation Overseer" she said in a demanding tone.
"Soon Catherine but currently it's time for lunch I believe so Amber will take you to be cleaned up and prepared for your meal meanwhile I shall take care of other business remember G-437 I'm expecting great things from you," He said as turned around back into the door as he took his leave.
"Of course Lord Overseer," the girl said respectfully and followed out the door.
With both of them out of thought the door Amber followed wondering how this course of action will affect things.
Stella POV
In her dreams, Stella saw many things but the most common was her being on the table in a lab surrounded by people as they injected things into her and then cut her open over and over again. This nightmare was always frequent and Stella always woke up terrified.
"YOU'RE A FAKE!" the voice in her dreams said over and over again meanwhile in the waking world Stella tossed and turned in her bed over and over again until she woke up.
Stella opened her eyes and saw that she was in her room not wanting to be alone again she got up and out of her room and headed to her parent's room and bed there she opened the door and closed it and approached the bed.
"Stella, what are you doing here?' her mother said as she was awakened by her daughter opening and closing her door.
"Nightmare," Stella said quickly, not wanting to elaborate on the topic.
"I see come here then," Cecilia said as she lifted her and her husband's blanket and welcomed her daughter into her bed. Quickly Stella got onto the bed being wrapped in her mother's arms feeling the warmth coming from her mother she quickly fell asleep again this time peacefully for the rest of the night until morning.
Ok everyone Chapter Two is done sorry this wasn't as long as the last one less ideas for this one but overall I think I liked it. This is Dragonlord. I'll see you all later.
