Epilogue - 3 years later

RPOV

"Hey Babe" I wrapped my arms around my wife letting my hands settle on the swell of her belly. "How are these little ones treating you today?"

"Mmm well Junior keeps kicking Jackson and he is definitely not happy about it and my bladder has been suffering the consequences." She replied as she finished putting on her final coat of mascara. I turned her around in my arms and kissed her before leaning down so my face was near her belly.

"You two behave in there tonight you only have a few weeks left before you're out here with the rest of us but if you keep kicking your mommy I can't guarantee that." I gently kissed the right side of her stomach and then the left before hopping in the shower to get ready for the Rangeman New Year's Eve party.

It's amazing how wonderful life can be when you finally give in and admit that everything you've ever wanted could be yours if you just allowed it to happen.

It's been an eventful past 3 years. After we announced Stephanie's first pregnancy with our child we were elated to welcome Josie Isabelle Manoso to the family on August 13th one day after my own birthday. Stephanie had been with Jamie and the dogs at the park and went into labor. Luckily one of the local runners was a nurse and was able to help keep her calm while Vince coordinated the ambulance and alerted Rangeman.

Since our little girl was a few weeks early I was in a client meeting in New York City as we were in the process of opening a branch there and was lucky enough that the client had six kids of his own and allowed me to borrow his helicopter to get to the birth on time. He was so excited to be apart of our birth story he even signed a five year contract with us for several of his apartment buildings. I made it just as they were pushing her into the delivery room and swapped out with Bobby. Twenty minutes later we welcomed our beautiful little girl into the world.

We had decided to put a hold on any more kids after that with Rangeman rapidly expanding. But that didn't stop any of my men from expanding their families. Lester and Bobby adopted their daughter Annabelle the following year. They applied to become parents and matched with Annabelle who's mom was a young teenager who got pregnant by accident and didn't want the child. The father was the star of the football team and denied all accusations that he was the father. Annabelle was the light in their lives and she was already spoiled.

Tank and Lula moved into a house not far from ours last year. They haven't had any more children but they are happy with their 4 cats, 3 dogs, and 2 kids. The rest of the core team has also settled down and gotten married including Hector and Manny who got married this past summer. Ram and Cal had gotten married the year prior. Cal's wife was a local elementary school teacher and Ram wife was a lawyer. Hal was the only one not married but he was currently seeing a nice nurse and they were quickly headed to the altar.

There were some not so fun changes as well like Vince being in a car accident and losing his leg which had us all pitching in to get him back on track and the Trenton branch running smoothly as he recovered and earlier this year Ram and his wife decided to move to California to be closer to his wife's parents since her mom was diagnosed with cancer. He is still part of the board of directors but he now oversees our west coast operations.

Rangeman is now a truly national company with roaming agents and additional satellite offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and New York. We no longer do bond enforcement but have now expanded our research services to help local bounty hunters and the government track people down. We also now offer a wider variety of private security services for events and individuals which has turned out to be much more lucrative. Our next goal is to begin looking into expanding in Las Vegas next so I have my lawyers working on getting the Nevada charges dropped so I can reenter the state.

Then about 8 months ago after a fun weekend away Steph wasn't feeling well so she went to the Doctor and now we are getting ready to welcome our twin boys to the world very soon. Stephanie also had me scheduled for a vasectomy as soon as she gave birth figuring it was the best time to do it since she also couldn't have sex. We went with Ricardo Carlos Manoso the third who we would call Junior and Jackson Francis Manoso as Stephanie though it was only right that all our children had J names.

"Daddy!" Josie ran into our bedroom with Julie not far behind just as I was slipping on my shirt for the party.

"Sorry dad she got away from me when she heard you were home." I reached up and picked up my little girl swinging her around in a circle."

"It's not a problem mija are you ready to go?" I kissing my eldest daughter on the forehead.

"No, I was gonna help mom get Josie ready first since she was helping Jamie."

"Well I'm pretty much done here so I'll take this little one and you go get ready."

"Thanks dad" She turned and ran back downstairs.

"Okay Jos lets get you ready for the party" I said as I set her down on the bed for a second to finish buttoning my shirt. I took her down stairs and found a pink and purple dress laid out on the bed in her room. I quickly helped her into it and then we went downstairs to join the others.

When I made it to the kitchen Stephanie was there looking absolutely beautiful eating donuts with Julie and Jamie, he had powdered sugar all over his face. Rosa and Bob were busy licking up the crumbs at their feet.

"Babe"

"What? The babies were hungry"

"Yeah Daddy! and Mommy said it's only fair if we all get one then."

"Oh is that so well then pass one over"

"Seriously?" Steph asked, finishing off the donut in her hand.

Without a word I took one of them out of the bag and popped it into Josie's mouth. We all started laughing before we cleaned up before heading out to join our extended Rangeman family and welcome the new year.

The End.

This is all I had planned for this story as my original prompt was to explore everything that could happen in a year but leave a comment or message me if you are interested in a sequel or short stories! I'd be more than excited to write some more and explore these characters in this setting again.

Thank you for reading and leaving all the wonderful comments everyone! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I did writing it. I will be taking a short break but will be back soon as I already have a new Plum story in the works so consider this a goodbye for now! ~ PlumLover0812
