I see the blood in your eyes
I see the love in disguise
He was back to his reflection…
Same sunken eyes and tangled hair…
Same pull towards darkness and the remaining shadow in the corner…
He hated himself and somewhere deep inside he was the dark itself…
The thing that was awoken when he was a kid and he was barely silencing for the years that came…
It became once more part of him two days ago when he tried to end himself by a force he'd been trying to deny for all these years…
Month ago it sparked out of self defense. It came back full force two days ago and now he was back at staring down at his bandaged arm. He lacked the memory of it happening but it seemed like a new daily occurrence now.
And he couldn't put down the fact these guys had some really wicked meds to shut him down.
His mind wasn't dealing with life at the moment so it just gave him freedom to explore his darkness.
And that was something he never wanted to do.
But the meds were good…
He saved a bunch of pills and now he heard them singing from the inside of his mattress…
I see the pain
hidden in your pride
I see you're not satisfied
He could see his father getting up from the chair in the corner and shaking his head…
He didn't approve..
But Malcolm didn't care…
He wanted those pills and all of them…
''My boy, that's not a good idea. You shouldn't do it.'' the old man started to sound scared. ''Why don't we try to figure out a way to escape instead?'' the panic in his voice was palpable. The way it pitched up and rushed out of the man. He was panicking now.
But Mal didn't pay attention to that now. His brain had yet to realize it wasn't real, he wasn't real…
''Son, please…'' the pleading in the man's voice…
Malcolm rushed to the bed and started rummaging for those pills.. He couldn't take the man anymore..
It was slowly taking over his whole being and the longer he hesitated the longer he will want to keep the man talking and that will bring only bad things back to surface…
His hand shook just once..
Just once and that was enough for the few pills to find a way…
The wave of hatred got plowed over by sudden surge of something shimmering…
But the pull was too strong and his father's face finally faded into nothingness…
There came the shimmering blanket and many things surfaced…
Finally a moment of peace….
Mirror on the wall,
here we are again
Through my rise and fall
You've been my only friend
You told me that they can
understand the man I am
So why are we here
talkin' to each other again
