Yeah, no new chapter today, sorry for that but I am working on it I promise. It just may not be posted on Fanfiction anymore.

Let me explain.

I am having login issues with Fanfiction. I made this profile almost a decade ago, and I used my Facebook account to log in.

Now, here are the problems:

1. I no longer have access to the FB account I used for this. It's been hacked for a couple years now, and I gave up long ago trying to reclaim it.

2. Because of the hacking, I ended up deleting the email that is associated with the FB account. They had access to it, so to ensure I could fully protect myself, I changed the password to something complex, duo authorized it, and deleted it.

3. Because I have no access to the old email and FB account, I cannot change the password I once used and I have tried for YEARS to change it with no success. In order for me to log in, I need to log into my FB account so it can redirect me to logging into my FF account, and since I have no access to it, I can't. (And if you never used FB as a log in, you can't backdoor your way into a login on FF nor FB. You need access to the FB account, which I do not have whatsoever.) I am locked into this account forever on this specific device, an old laptop, because it is the only way I can post my chapters or even access my profile. I have tried many other methods of attempting to log into this account from an alternate device and all have failed.

I have even tried to email Fanfic support numerous times to get help to change my login credentials, but got no response from them every time.

And this is the most important part.

4. The laptop is breaking down, and I don't know when it will die on me. I got it when it was used. When the laptop does die, I will no longer have access to this account. The only reason I was even able to stay on my FF account without my FB account is because of auto-login and never erasing the cookies from the laptop. I was always logged in. And as I said, I have tried to change my login, access my account from other devices, and even reached out for support, and all measures have failed.

This laptop has been showing its age, and yesterday, I got scared when it would not turn on at all. I don't know how but it did turn on after a few hours when I tried again, and today, although brief, the laptop would not turn on again.

I only use this laptop for my Fanfic account. If I didn't have this profile, I wouldn't have it anymore. Which is funny because sometimes I would disappear for months, maybe a year, and yet I still held onto the laptop because I knew I would come back to either continue a story or create a new one.

So, just in case this is the end of my time on Fanfiction (because I will not be making another account here, and the severe downgrade of Fanfic isn't helping (EX: FANFIC SUPPORT NOT SUPPORTING!)), you can find me on AO3 aka Archive of Our Own.

In case the laptop dies after I post this, I did love this community. I did love this website. I loved it so much. I just wish I wasn't locked onto this laptop and that I could log in from another device, or better yet, have some fricken support when I asked so many times over so many years!
