I hadn't wanted to admit it to anyone, but I was really scared when Annabeth left. Of course, I had to maintain that stoic face my father requires me to keep, but I was worried. I mean, I knew she defiantly hadn't gotten expelled, because Annabeth would never do anything bad. At least, she would never get caught doing so. So, naturally everybody who knew her just assumed she... died.
When we found out she was still alive, and back at Hogwarts, we were all so grateful. And a bit mad, to be honest. My only friend, gone, without so much as a note!
Anyways, it was 1:00 am when I awoke to a blood curdling scream. I bolted upright in bed and gasped, still half asleep.
"Who died?" I mumbled as I swung my feet out of bed, "What's happening?" I stood up and stumbled over towards the girls dormitory as that seemed to be where the screams were coming from. When I reached the door, I paused wondering if I really should go in or not. Surely it was against about every school rule, and my father would kill me if I got expelled. On the other hand, somebody could be in danger. I went inside.
What I saw was horrifying. First off, the girls dormitory was so clean, and didn't smell bad. But, even worse was Annabeth. She thrashing, screaming, and crying in her bed. The other girls were trying to shake her awake, and comfort her. Only problem, when they touched her, she started thrashing and screaming more.
Pansy looked at me as I entered, "Do something! She won't wake up!"
"Percy! Where are you?!" Annabeth screamed
"Percy?" I wondered out loud, and hesitantly walked closer to her bed. I reached out to try to wake her.
Suddenly, Annabeth bolted upright in her bed and gave a little gasp. Then, she started crying. Yep. The Annabeth Chase was crying. She sat curled up in her bed, the blankets covering her bent legs with tears streaming down her face. Slowly, Annabeth raised her head and looked around, realizing we were all watching her. She then jumped out of bed, stumbling a little, and ran to the bathroom.

It was about 8pm when Annabeth iris messaged me. I was watching a movie, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, with my mom and Paul and suddenly, Annabeth's face appeared with tears streaming down her face.
"Annabeth?" I asked, and Paul and my mom left the room to give us privacy, "Did you have a dream?"
She sniffled and wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry for calling you this late. Yeah. I was in... in... in that place. You were... gone."
"Don't apologize Annabeth. You know I also have nightmares. Anyways its barley 8:30 here." I offered a smile.
She sniffled again, "Yeah."
"You can call me any time. You know that."
"Yeah. I love you Percy. Thank you."
"I love you too. Talk to you tomorrow?"
"I don't know, I might have homework. I'll send you a letter?"
I nodded, and swiped through the message. Who knew on the very first night apart, that Annabeth would have a nightmare?

When morning finally came around, I knew that all of us Slytherins were thinking the same thing. What the bloody hell was that? Annabeth having nightmares where she ends up screaming and crying. Her running to the bathroom to talk to someone? So... odd. What happened when she was gone?
Anyways, when I finally got down to breakfast, I saw Annabeth sitting alone with dark circles under her eyes. She looked super tired and even more jumpy. I hesitantly walk over to her, careful not to startle her. Annabeth glances at me, and stares back at her cereal bowl.
"Sleep ok?" I finally asked
"Look, I'm really sorry I woke you up. Tomorrow, I'll just ask Dumbledore to put me in a new dorm room."
"No!" Annabeth flinched, "You don't have to do that. I know I don't speak for all of us Slytherins, but I know that I don't mind. As long as you are ok. And anyways, the hat made its decision. You are a Slytherin. Therefore you deserve all of its... accommodations?"
"Thanks." She mumbled, with a forced smile.
I look away from her for a second. I see Professor Snape heading over with our schedules. I wonder if he heard about Annabeth's nightmare the night before. I doubt it. Even though we may have gotten a reputation for being snakes, it didn't mean we were slimy.
"What do you have first?" I asked, after receiving out schedules
She groaned, "Divination, with Professor Trelawney."
