2Two and a half weeks later
I had decided on a name for our son was Canicus which in the latin language meant "born of fire"
I could sense his chakra signature already and it was already similar to that of a normal Uchiha child which meant he had the Katon chakra nature. Preparing to go outside, I was wearing a beautiful and light weight white colored dress with a gold braided belt wrapped around my waist, that hugged my figure wonderfully, I was still a bit weak from child birth but I was strong enough to move about and actively participate in some of the parties, turning around I gently picked up my son. When Tiberius, my husband entered, he seemed surprised," Oh your awake?"
I chuckled," Yes, I have been for a few hours."
He sighed in annoyance," You could have told me you were awake. I didn't think to tell you as you looked comfortable."
" I was but I would have gotten up with you," amused I pulled on the sandals when we both walked out of our room. the servants bowed towards us when we walked into one of the gardens, to see a small group of four Praetorian guards talking together in hushed tones, suspicious of them, I channeled chakra into my ears when I heard one speak,"-hen should we strike?"
They seemed to notice us and they quickly separated from each other without a second thought. Each one took positions in all four corners of the garden edge. Sighing when Tiberius noticed my expression," What]s wrong my love?"
I whispered," A couple traitors I believe are around us."
His eyes widen, when I elaborated," Tell you in the meeting hall."
We entered the royal meeting hall where the royal family meets with each other to discuss anything of importance.
Miyuki and Mai were there as well when my father-in-law questioned," Usagi how are you doing?"
"I am alright, thank you for asking Your Highness. If I may bring up something now, that I feel is quite important," leaning back in my chair I narrowed my eyes, when my father in law, who I finally learned his name after two years of living here, Phoebus, nodded noticing my tone was cold, I continued," I believe we have some worms in the Praetorian guards. On our way here Tiberius and I noticed four guards of the Praetorian guards speaking to one another quietly in the center of a garden, I heard one say and I quote" when should we strike." Due to past experience this made me raise my guard. Once they saw us approaching they quickly moved back to their positions."
Phoebus stippled his fingers and stated," I have noticed that some of the Praetorian guards have been eyeing me more carefully."
Tiberius growled," We shoul-"
In response I flashed my killing intent," Patience, Tiberius."
Miyuki nodded in agreement," This is something to think carefully about. I have been training a bit again along with Mai, Tatsu, and Dai. Perhaps have Tatsu and Dai be on guard in the palace for a short time Your Highness. Or at least in the shadows tailing them."
Mai nodded," The only question is who or what are they targeting. Chances are you are the first target Your Highness, Princeps."
I growled," If they try going for my husband I am going to turn them to ashes."
Everyone seemed to chuckle while my son squirmed a bit before settling back down, while the Emperor questioned," Do you know there names?"
"No. I wish I did that way I could obliterate them now."
Tiberius grabbed hold of my hand and whispered," Relax my love. No one will harm or kill me."
Glancing at him, my face was stone cold when I stood up," I am going to meet with my mother, to see if she can help aid with this situation."
Gently handing our son to Tiberius who smiled and gently held our son, Phoebus nodded his head," Well I can't exactly say no to you doing that, I don't wish for Lady Nox to kill me."
Amused I waved my hand," If you were to piss me off, I would kill you before my mother could."
He snorted," Why do I find that even scarier than a Primordial goddess killing me."
I walked out of the meeting room with a smirk, when I sensed someone behind me, instincts kicking in and side stepping a swing of a blade, I noticed it was one of the four who was in the garden. I mused," So you were eavesdropping on us."
The traitor swung his blade again when I stepped into his guard," You are a fool to be attacking me."
His blade swung again this time catching it by the blade I slammed an open palm into his chest, infused with chakra sending him flying back into the wall. leaving him stuck inside of the wall, with that blood splattered from his mouth. Everyone came rushing out when the soldier fell out of the wall, I appeared in front of him in a quick shunshin, my sharingan eyes meeting his own when he collapsed to the ground screaming in agony.
Miyuki's voice questioned," Was he one of them?"
"Yes, tried to stab me in the back, looks like I don't need to talk to my mother after all," I snarled, angered by what I saw while reading his mind. A few years ago I would be to weak to fight the Praetorian guards, now that I was older, I was easily stronger than everyone here. In terms of raw power that is.
Calming down a bit while Julius and the Commander of the Praetorian guards along with Dai and Tatsu came running towards us.
Dante questioned," What happened?"
Tiberius growled," He was a traitor, tried to kill her behind her back. Obviously didn't work out for him obviously."
The soldier at my feet was foaming at the mouth, his brain obviously unable to handle the stress from the genjutsu I placed on him. Rendering him brain dead permanently. Taking my son back in my arms while Phoebus questioned," What did you do to cave in his chest plate?"
Mai snorted," My guess it was a palm strike, infused with chakra, with how much chakra Usagi has now she didn't control it very well."
"If I didn't control it well he would blown to chunks," pointing that out with a shrug I looked at the Commander and Julius," Find the rest of the traitors. I will end them myself," killing intent was flooding off of me in waves as anger at the assassination attempt," my sharingan eyes spinning rapidly morphing to my secret weapon, the Mangekyō sharingan," I will place them in a genjutsu hell until their brain melts from their ears."
My sharingan looked like a blooming flower while everyone seemed to realize just how angered I was, Tiberius questioned," Um, my love what happened to your eyes, they morphed into an honestly scary but beautiful shape."
"Mangekyō sharingan," Mai spoke slowly," The strongest form of the sharingan eyes and comes with terrifying abilities. How long have you had it for?"
" Since my son was born," I smiled lightly, my sharingan fading from my eyes while I kissed my sons forehead as he grabbed onto one of the loose strands of my hair in his hands.
A/N And done with Chapter 22, honestly I thought her having a son was a good way to awaken her Mangekyo sharingan. Instead of losing someone why not bringing someone into the world.
