1Welcome to day 2! This is another short one but to be fair, I did it in the middle of class.

Dear Harry,
It is so good to speak to you. I have waited many years to have the chance to talk to you. I've also discovered something that I don't believe Dumbledore ever planned to tell you. Did you know that you are a horcrux? Just like me. You carry a piece of Voldemort's soul inside of your body. It can't control you, but it gives you a connection to all of the other horcruxes. However, you and I are the only truly intelligent ones. We could do so much to change this blasted wizarding world for the better. Please tell me you will join me. I would hate to have to go back to the Weasley girl. She was very gullible and obsessive when it came to anything that has to do with you. Just write in here with your response when you've decided.
If the horcrux information wasn't enough for you to come to my side, then might I tell you that I also know a great hand of things about you and the true plans of Dumbledore. I'm just letting you know that you never had to go to those wretched muggles.

Harry read the small page and a half of writing from the diary. He read it over and over, but the words never changed. His thoughts were almost jumbled.
"A horcrux? I have a piece of Voldemort's soul in my body. How many did he even make? Dumbledore didn't plan on telling me that anytime soon. Of that, I have no doubt. He likes to keep me as in the dark as possible. The old man was also the one who told me I had no other place to go except to the Dursleys. Should I really trust a part of Voldemort's soul? In a way, I feel connected to it and he is a horcrux like me. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad for me if I just believed him this once. No one is really going to care at the moment. Draco may care a little bit, but it isn't like he can show it."
It took the whole afternoon and well into the night before Harry decided to write a message back to the diary Tom Riddle.
I suppose you could say that your words have swayed me, and I am inclined to join you. Though I hope you know that I am not evil, I just happen to believe in revenge is a dish best served cold.
Tom responded in kind.
We will make a great team. Since we both have a bone to pick with Dumbledore.
