EDIT: Minor Adjustments
You are nothing! Nothing but a disgrace to this family!
My friends always told me the second child is the worst one!
Hayden woke up with a sudden jolt causing him to roll off the couch, landing with a thud on the floor. "Again?" He thought aloud, "Always after I drink." He began to rub his head attempting to soothe his growing headache. Through his headache, he managed to glance at the clock on his wall which read: 1.57 PM. "Damn, that's late." Quickly he grabbed his phone and checked Discord.
GroupChat:
GI-Jane: Hey_Death are you alive?
IamHollie: Nah he's dead lol
Cryo-Stacy: Dibs on his Xbox
TotallyJenniferAniston: is his liquor cabinet well stocked?!
Hayden rolled his eyes and typed up his response.
Hey_Death: Haha, I'm alive FYI, so no liquor cabinet for you Jen
TotallyJenniferAniston: Awww...
After a quick shower, Hayden sat at his table with a cup of black tea and a few slices of toast. In front of him also was his sketchbook, quite literally full to the brim with drawings. The drawings were quite varied, some highly detailed and others little more than rushed doodles.
Among the collection of doodles and drawings was a common theme: three figures, one male, two female.
One of the male figures was dressed in a white suit complete with a white top hat. In his hand was a cane with an apple on the top. His skin was pearl white with rosy red cheeks, his teeth and smile both sharp and disingenuous. His eyes were alluring. However, in most of the drawings, he looked angry or disappointed.
The first female was beautiful, with an hourglass figure that would instantly make any man or woman fall for her. She was tall and wore a purple dress and heels. Her platinum blonde hair went down to her ankles. On her face was an everlasting look of lust complete with a smile and half-lidded eyes. However, like the male figure, in most of the drawings, she looked angry or disappointed. Most curiously, despite how undeniably attractive this woman was, Hayden didn't find her attractive. As if it felt wrong to feel attracted to her.
The second female figure was different. She shared some features of the two other figures, pearl white skin, blonde hair, and rosy red cheeks. Her clothes were different, in most of her drawings, she wore a pink blazer, black pants, and black and white dress shoes. In a few other drawings, she wore more casual clothing. Interestingly, she was the kindest out of the three, in Hayden's dreams she always treated him with kindness and compassion. Hayden also noticed how close she seemed to be towards him, his eyes glanced down at a list of words beneath her drawings:
Lover? X
Girlfriend? X
One night stand? X
Sibling...
*Ding!*
Hayden jumped slightly as his phone chimed and pulled him out of his thoughts, he picked it up and answered.
TotallyJenniferAniston: Hey, Haydie! How are you?
Hey_Death: Hey Jennifer, I'm good. Didn't you see the GC?
TotallyJenniferAniston: Of course, but even a tipsy person could auto-correct a text like that, and we know how you get when you drink...

Hey_Death: ...it saves your a55 again
TotallyJenniferAniston: OK just checking in I'll ttyl

*TotallyJenniferAniston is away*
Hayden set his phone down and looked down at his drawing book, sighing as he did so. For a moment he contemplated throwing it in the fireplace and lighting it. But that wouldn't solve anything, he knew he would just start another one. He knew they were more than dreams (or nightmares in some cases), whether it was spiritual or...
...or...
...something...
He grabbed his book and walked over to his room in silence. It was simple, a bed in the corner, a side table, a closet, and a desk in the corner. The desk however was covered in various papers and drawing equipment was set down in no order. on the wall was a corkboard with various drawings pinned on it. "I gotta tidy this up," Hayden said to himself and set the book down on top of the papers.
Hayden returned to the kitchen, opened his fridge, and noticed how empty it was, "Goddamn it. Ugh, screw this, I'll order a pizza!" He closed the fridge, and walked over to the cup of tea, downing the rest in one gulp. He grabbed his keys, and stepped out of his house, locking the door behind him. After a short drive, he arrived at a supermarket car park. He stepped out and walked across the street to a Pizza place.
"Hey," the cashier said in a somewhat deflated voice.
"Sup" Hayden responded with a smirk, "Can I have a large pepperoni please." The cashier tapped on the register "Another, shit day Luke?"
"Yeah."
"Hang in there dude." Hayden pulled out his card and entered his pin.
Luke just gave a slight smile, "For how long?"
"I can't answer that. Do I look like God?"
"Whatever, dude," Luke said after tapping the register, "it'll be ready in 20-ish minutes."
Hayden nodded and turned to a nearby stool and pulled out his phone, unsurprisingly there were some drawings on his phone. He shook his head and pulled out some headphones. After selecting a song he started playing a game.
A while later he arrived back home with his pizza, tossing his keys in a small glass bowl on his counter. He set down his pizza on the table then grabbed a glass, and poured himself some Coke. Sitting down at the table he grabbed a slice of pizza and was about to take a bite.
*Bump*
The sound echoed through the house, stopping Hayden in his tracks. It was faint, if the house wasn't so quiet he might not have noticed it. Strangely it was a sound he recognized: his chair hitting the wall. it was a sound he would hear every day as he tended to stand from his chair quite quickly.
Very slowly he stood up, his glass of coke in one hand. "Is there someone in here?" he asked in a firm monotone voice, Slowly he took a sip and let out a long drawn-out sigh. "I said..." The sound of glass shattering against the wall rang out as he threw his glass against the wall "IS THERE SOMEONE IN HERE!" he yelled, this time meaning business.
He approached the fireplace and grabbed the fire poker, "Here's some advice! Whatever is in your hands right now, I suggest you run away with it before I fucking rip your throat out!" He walked down the hallway and banged on a wall as he did so.
Suddenly the door to his bedroom burst open. A figure, Dressed in black with a balaclava covering their face locked eyes with Hayden, and in their hand was his drawing book.
*25 minutes earlier*
A figure was crouched in the bushes close to the house, they didn't peek out out of risk of being spotted. The sound of the front door opening and closing was soon followed by a car starting and driving off.
'Okay, it's now or never' they thought to themself as they snuck up to the door and began to pick the lock, occasionally taking glances left and right. A few moments later they entered the house and closed the door behind them, their back pressed against it. The intruder took a few deep breaths as they slid down the door, bringing their knees to their chest. 'What the hell am I doing?' They slowly stood up and began to move around the house, being careful not to make too much noise.
The first room to her immediate left was the living room. It had a couch, a small fireplace, a coffee table, a few chairs, and a flat-screen TV. Next to the TV was an Xbox Series X, and in the corner was a lamp. It was a little unkempt but not too bad.
They then moved into the kitchen and on the dining table was an empty mug with a black tea bag and spoon still inside it, next to it was a pencil. The intruder picked up the pencil, taking note that it was a professional-grade artist's pencil. "Does he draw?" they began twirling it in their fingers, "If so where are they?"
Finally making their way down the hallway there were some doors leading to a couple of spare bedrooms and a bathroom. The final room they found was the master bedroom. It was simple, a bed in the corner, a side table, and a desk in the corner. The desk was covered in various papers and drawing equipment was set down in no order. On top of all the equipment was a book and on the wall they noticed on the wall a corkboard with drawings.
They sat down at the desk, "Is it possible?" She thought aloud. She grabbed the book and began to look through its contents. As they looked at the contents, tears of joy slowly began to prick the corners of her eyes. "It's real!" Suddenly, the sound of the door opening quickly followed by the sound of keys clacking on a glass bowl. The intruder wiped away their tears and quickly stood up.
"Crap, I need to-"
*Bump*
The desk chair behind her rolled into the wall, and her blood froze.
"Is there someone in here?" The house owner's voice rang out.
The intruder clutched the book tightly to their chest, 'If I stay quiet, he migh-'
The sound of glass shattering against the wall suddenly rang out "IS THERE SOMEONE IN HERE!"
"Here's some advice!" The homeowner's voice boomed once again, "Whatever is in your hands right now I suggest you run away with it before I fucking rip your throat out!" Without thinking she barged into the hallway and her eyes automatically locked onto the emerald green eyes of the homeowner.
*The Present*
The two stared at each other for a moment, Hayden noticing the book in their hand. Without a second thought, Hayden shoved them into the wall, pinning them with the fire poker, and with his other hand ripped the drawing book from their hands causing various pages to scatter around the hallway.
The intruder kicked Hayden in the stomach causing him to stumble back and drop the fire poker. A burning rage built up in Hayden's mind as he stood back up and quickly grabbed the intruder's shoulder and threw them on the floor.
He then jumped on them and began to choke them, only then did he notice the intruder was female. It didn't matter who or what they were, they were breaking into his house. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!" The intruder grabbed Hayden's wrists and tried to push him off. In response, Hayden quickly raised her up and slammed her down on the floor. For a brief moment, she was completely dazed and let go.
Noticing this, Hayden grabbed the balaclava, "Let's see what kind of fuckin' bitch steals from people!" He then yanked the balaclava off their head.
...
They locked eyes, Hayden slowly got off her and staggered back.
His eyes landed on a ripped page from his drawing book, he grabbed it and slowly stood up.
The female intruder stood up also.
Hayden's eyes rose from the drawing to the figure that stood a few meters away from him.
As he locked eyes with her again, the page slipped from his hands.
What inspired the Hallway scene?
"Menendez!"
"Woods! NO!"
