58Chp 1: Hello Fairy
The next day the alliance group bid their teammates farewell. Team Fairy tail with their three newest members were aboard a ship on their way back to the guild. Lucy had just made a contract with Angels former spirits Aries, Gemini, and Scorpio. Natsu was actually enjoying the trip for a bit; Wendy casted a troia, a spell to negate motion sickness which apparently was only temporary. It wasn't long till he was back to tossing cookies.
As for Zodie he was sitting up on the crows nest looking into the direction of his and Wendy's former home of Cait shelter. He was deep in thought when he was interrupted by Wendy shouting.
"Hey Zodie."
He looked down.
"We're almost there, come on down."
Zodie sprouted his wings and descended down to the deck. He looked over and saw Natsu on the ground.
"What's up with him?" Zodie asked.
"Natsu suffers from motion sickness whenever he rides a vehicle." Erza stepped up answering.
"Seriously, man that's gotta suck."
Natsu was ready to hurl again but not before Zodie gave him a bag.
"There ya go take it easy there bud."
"Oh… Zodie you're so nice." Natsu said.
Happy then came up to Carla.
"When you three join our guild I can show you all the special places to snuggle for kitties."
"The only reason I'm coming is to be close to Wendy and Zodie, I have no interest in you." Carla said coldly.
Wendy then grabbed Zodies hands smiling. "We're joining Fairy Tail aren't you excited Zodie."
Wendy's warm smile brought a grin to his face. "Yeah this'll definitely be different to be a part of an actual guild. I wonder what the other members of fairy tail will be like."
"They can be pretty rowdy and crazy but overall they're good people. I promise you'll love it." Lucy assured.
Moments later the group disembarked from the ship. Natsu was back to his old self within seconds.
"Yeah FREEDOM."
"What a one-eighty." Wendy remarked.
The cait shelter trio looked around the area with happy faces. "Wendy you weren't kidding, this place was pretty big." Zodie said.
"Wendy, have you been here before?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah Ionce came here to buy some gifts from some shops."
"Oh where was Zodie?"
"He was under the weather, had a case of food poisoning. It was so bad he actually ."
"Wendy please I don't need to be reminded of that day and they probably don't want to hear it."
"Spoilers so much whipping." Carla whispered.
"CARLA!"
As the group continued to walk they soon came upon the Fairytail guild hall. The cait shelter trio awed at the size of it.

Now inside the guild hall, people cheered for the return of the brave mages. Members of team Natsu settled in with some members.
"Long story short Wendy, Carla, and Zodie are our new members so make them feel welcomed Erza introduced."
"Wendy bowed her head. "It's a pleasure to meet you all."
Zodie just waved his hand. "Yo."
Erza approached a short elderly man nearly balding. This was master Makarov the master of the guild.
"Great to have you all back with the oracion seis gone things will be quiet now, and thanks for bringing two new additions to the guild."
While the Caitshelter trio was dazzled by the interior of the guild when suddenly a torrent of water began to sweep many members. The water turned out to be tears and the culprit was a woman with blue hair and a blue dress with white at the bottom, she wore knee high white boots along with a blue and white hat with a badge on her shirt that had a fairy tails emblem. This was Julia Lockser, a water mage with an obsession with a certain ice mage.
"Gray my love! I'm so happy your back, I was so worried."
Not wanting to be swept up in the river of Tera's Carla used her magic to lift Wendy up while Zodie leaped up onto one of the pillars holding on. A few minutes later after Juvia's river tears the trio were approached by a girl with white hair in a maroon dress and a bubbly smile.
"Welcome to fairy tail you three I'm Mirajane we're glad to have you here."
"O-m gosh guys it's really her Mirajane Struass!" Wendy said giddily, making Zodie lightly chuckle.
"I'm assuming Carla has the same magic as happy, but what kind of magic can you use Wendy?"
"Now see here me and that mangy blue shag-dog are nothing alike!" Carla barked. Only making Zodie laugh while he held both hands over his mouth.
"Just ignore her, I'm actually a sky dragonslayer." The whole guild gasped in surprise.
"Oh no, did I say something wrong!" Wendy's face was sad till the crowd erupted with cheers.
"Alright we got a third dragon slayer." They yelled, making Wendy's mood Brighten up.
Mira then turned her attention to Zodie. "And Zodie, what kind of magic can you use?"
"Oh w…we'll I."
Zodie was then interrupted by Natsu who suddenly threw his arm around his shoulder.
"This kid right here is a master of using dark magic let me tell ya, he took an attack from that Brain guy and sent it right back, and he even aided me with taking down the Oracion seis's master." All the praise made Zodie blush a little.
Happy then popped up on Natsu's shoulder. "Aye and he can fly to, now I have someone to race against."
"I mean Natsu was the one who really beat that guy. I just aided him." Zodie replied.
"Oh come on buddy give yourself some credit." Natsu said.
Suddenly a big guy with white spiky hair wearing a gakuraun and wooden sandals came behind Zodie and patted him on the back, though it was a tad bit hard for Zodies case.
"Kid I deem you manly."
"Elf man take it easy." Mira cried out. "Sorry Zodie my little brother can be very conscious about manliness.
'Little?' Zodie thought. 'Ok the white hair is a dead giveaway of their relation, but this dude is someone's younger sibling, big fella really eats his vegetables.'
"It's okay nice to meet you man." Zodie made a fist which Elfman gladly bumped.
From atop a ledge a man with long black rockstar hair with piercings where his eyebrows stood watched from above. This was none other than Gajeel the iron dragon. His main focus was on happy and Carla.
'Why, just why, why don't I have my own cat huh it's just not fair damnit.'
"All right everyone, listen up, let's welcome our new members with a grand party.!" Master announced.
"Shouldn't we get out belongings taken care of first and find someplace to crash." Suddenly Zodie was interrupted by a young woman with brown hair and a blue bikini top, she threw her arm around him smiling.
"All that can wait, have some fun kiddo." She handed Zodie a cup. The Phoenix child eyes popped when he noticed the woman's ample bosom making him plug up his nose with his thumbs.
"Cana, are you giving him alcohol." Lucy protested.
"Easy it's just juice, I'm not a monster." Cana said.
The whole guild erupted into cheers and went full on party mode! Music was played, food was passed around. The trio couldn't help but be dazzled by the liveliness of their new guild.
"Wow everyone's so lively and full of happiness." Wendy said.
"I could get used to this." Zodie said. Sipping some juice.
"Be on your guard, the both of you." Carla added.
Mira then approached the three with a stamper.
"Can I have a moment of your time for you three?" The trio nodded. "Now that you're all members, let's make it official where you like your guild marks.
"I'll take mine on my right shoulder please." Wendy said.
"Oh, same for me please." Zodie requested.
Mira giggled, lightly accepting their request stamping each of their shoulders, the rectangular mark flashed before morphing into the trademark fairy tail emblem. Wendy's guild mark was blue and Zodies was purple. Mirajane smiled warmly.
"Welcome to fairy tail."
The kids looked at their new guild marks happily then at each other before mingling with other members.
After the party it was getting late and the members were heading home. Since the trio were new they needed to have their living arrangements taken care of luckily strings were pulled and they found places for them. Wendy and Carla would stay at the girls dorm fairy hills, and Zodie at the boys dorm. The trio faced one another on the outside of the guild.
"So this'll be different not being neighbors anymore." Zodie said.
"It'll take some getting used to." Wendy said. "Plus we'll have our communication lacrimas so we can talk even if we're apart."
"Child we really should be hitting the road." Carla interrupted.
"Right."
Zodie and Wendy bith fist bumped each other before going their separate way."But
Later that night Zodie had finished unpacking his belongings and setting up his room. He then changed into his pajamas; they were purple flannels with black dots. He was currently on a multiple lacrima call with Wendy, Carla, Abner and April. They told them all about their fight, the oracion seis as well as the truth behind Caitshelter.
"Oh man so Caitshelter was never really a guild, a legal guild… does that technically mean you three were a part of a dark guild?" Abner asked. "I mean your master did create a dark destructive weapon."
"Abner stop it, and read the room!" April said.
"Oh sorry guys I didn't mean it like that."
"It's ok dude I can see why you'd think that." Zodie assured.
"It all feels like a dream we're a part of the number one guild in the world." Wendy said excitedly.
"You guys should come visit, it'll be great to hang out again." Zodie said.
April began to shriek. "Now I can easily get an autograph from Titania herself."
Abner began to let out a yawn. "We'll anyway it's getting late I'm gonna hit the hay."
"My dads limit my lacrima time, so chow."
Abner and April then hang up leaving the Caitshelter trio
"So what's it like over there at fairy hills?"
"It's beautiful we're close to a beach over here and the girls' dorm has a huge bath house too." Wendy said. "What's it like on your end?"
"Pretty much the same thing except no beach and we have a gym so I know where to go if I wanna work out." Zodie flexed his muscles. "So I gotta ask, you two holding up ok."
"Yeah, still shaken a bit the place we called home for most of our lives is gone, I know I shouldn't feel this way but still." Wendy rubbed her eye a bit.
"Hey remember the pact we made long ago we'll continue to look out for each other and with this new guild we have others looking out for us too, we're not gonna lose anything else, I Swear it!" Zodie clenched his fist. "We might be fairy tail but at heart we're Caitshelter."
This brought a smile to Wendy's face. "You're right, thanks Zodie."
"Ok children I think it's about time we turned in. It's getting late and as fairytail wizards you'll need your strength." Carla said.
Wendy let out a yawn. "I suppose you're right I'm getting pretty tired, see you tomorrow then how about we all meet up at solace gate park so we can head to the guild together."
"You bet good night girls." With that they each hung up, Zodie turned off a lamp and got ready for bed. He looked at the dagger remembering his brother and his sacrifice. "Thanks Aria I'm not gonna waste my life." He then put it away before drifting off into slumber.
The next day Zodie met up with the girls and they walked to the guild hall, Zodie was wearing a baggy purple shirt with black tribal marking on them along with black pants and sandals, Wendy wore the same outfit she wore yesterday. The cait shelter trio were in the guild looking up at the request board trying to figure out which job they should take; unlike in their previous guild they didn't have too many job options.
Mira walked up to them. "Hey you three has anyone caught your interest?"
"There's so many it's hard to choose." Said Wendy.
"We never had this many options before in the Cait shelter." Zodie added.
Mira let out a light giggle. "Take your time, though if you three wouldn't mind some advice I'd advise starting off by working with some other teams, you'll get half pay that way but the experience is well worth it."
"That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea." Zodie said,
"A bad idea no, but working with these lots is not a good idea." Carla coldly said.
Lucy and Levy then came up with them. "Hey guys looking for your first job huh." Said the blonde mage.
Mira glanced back at the celestial mage. "Oh I was just suggesting they tag along with some other groups on their first job."
"Oh yeah when Lulu started she tagged along with Natsu and Happy." Levy added.
"And it's put me through so many traumatizing experiences that no girl should ever have to endure." Lucy cried.
"Not to brag this really won't be our first rodeo but i'm willing to tag along with anyone, great way for us to get to know more people." Zodie suggested.
"Oh I like the enthusiasm, why not come with us to Shadow Gear." Levy offered.
"You three worked with us before so why not roll with us." Lucy also offered.
"Wait hold on Lu, your group has a bunch of members and I was looking forward to having another girl on my team." Levy cried.
"Why not have them work with both teams and then switch." Mira suggested.
"That seems pretty fair." Lucy said.
"So which group gets you guys first?" Levy asked.
"How about I go with Shadow gear, and Wendy go with team Natsu, I mean you probably want to hang with Natsu, a fellow dragon slayer right." Zodie suggested.
"Sounds good to me, what do you say Carla?"
Carla merley huffed. "I'm not happy with working with those bunch of miscreants but if it benefits you in the future I have no problem."
"Great". Levy then grabs Zodies hands. "Come and meet the team." The bluenette pulls the boy over to her two teammates.
Levy brought Zodie over to her two teammates, one with orange hair with a brown coat and brown hat, the other man wore a simple white shirt with yellow belts crossing his chest with green pants.
"Allow me to formally introduce you to the team, Zodie this is Jet and Droy, Jet Droy Zodie."
"Yo." Said Jet.
"Sup little dude." Said Droy.
"Hey guys." Zodie greeted back.
"I already got the perfect job lined up for us, our client is looking for wizards to handle a group of bandits in a town not too far from here."
"Sounds good to me, when do we start?"
"We just need time to get ready, you can grab some stuff from your place and we'll meet you at the train station." Said Jet.
A few minutes later Zodie arrived at the train station where Shadow gear was waiting for him.
"All set and ready to go."
"Great, I got our tickets right here, let's get on our way."
The group boarded the train and moved onto an aisle of seats for a group of four, their luggage was stored in a special compartment above them. The train started moving and the station began to disappear from their sight.
"We should be there in about forty five minutes, in the meantime this seems like a good oppritunity to get to know each other." Levy Suggested.
"Sure what do guys want to know?"
"Tell us about your magic man, Natsu was ranting about how you took an attack from that Brain guy and how you backed him up." Jet said.
"Well as you know my attribute is dark magic, but I use phoenix slayer magic."
"Phoenix Slayer." Both jet and Droy said in unison.
"I've never heard that magic before, but I'm guessing it's somewhat similar to dragon slayer magic." Said Levy.
"Pretty much yeah."
"Does that mean you were raised by a phoenix?" Asked Droy.
"Yep, her name is Yubel and she was an awesome mom." Zodie then looked down sad.
"Did something happen? If so, you don't have to talk about it, little dude." Said Jet.
"No it's just she disappeared, I went to sleep one day in the cave we lived in but when I woke up i'm in the cait shelter bed, that's how I met Wendy her mom Grandeena also left her like Natsu's dragon."
"And that's how you and her met?" Asked Levy.
"Right and ever since that day we've been really insufferable." Zodie went on telling Shadow gear about how they met Carla and some of their latest adventures.
"Wow, sounds like you guys have been through alot." Jet said.
"Yep but now that you guys know about me what sort of magic can you all use?"
"My magic is called Solid script; it allows me to materialize solid words into their depicted forms, for example if I wrote fire i create fire."
"Wow, that's pretty cool." Zodie compliemnted.
"My magic high speed lets me move with incredible speed." Jet said.
Drot took out some seeds from his pocket. "These seeds let me control plants."
"Both pretty cool." Zodie said.
In another area Wendy and Carla have just arrived on their job site; they and team Natsu were assigned to capture a gang leader by the name of Tooms. They just departed from the train; much to Natsu's delight, to meet their client.
"You know I don't get why this is a whole group thing. I mean if we have to catch one guy I can do it myself." Natus bragged.
"Idiot it's much more than that, this about Wendy and Carla getting a feel of the work we do." Gray said, which angered Natsu.
"The hell you call me ice balls."
"Oh sorry I should've said deaf idiot since it seems you can't understand me." Both boys were in each other's faces glaring till Erza banged both of them on their heads.
"Alright you two cut the crap, like Gray said were here so Wendy can Carla get a feel and they don't need you two giving her the wrong idea!" The red head said.
Lucy leaned toward Wendy whispering. "Don't worry it's always like this, you'll get used to it."
"Alright listen up, enough standing around the client is expecting us, let's not keep them waiting." Erza said as she led the way.
After about twenty minutes on getting briefed with their client team Natsu were heading to their designated area unfornutaley catching the gang leader wasn't going to be easy since they'd have to take on the leaders entire gang first to find him.
"Oh man, finally this is gonna be great. I'm looking forward to cracking some skulls." Natsu said excited for a good bout."
"Don't forget Natsu, we need to catch Tooms in order to get the reward." Erza reminded.
"Man, you suck the joy out of everything." Natsu mumbled.
"Hey Wendy if things get too overwhelming stay close to us ok." Gray said.
The sky dragon nodded.
"Wonder how Zodie's doing on his job."
Back with Zodie and team shadow gear they were heading towards the bandits hideout after being briefed.
"So what's the plan, how do we go about this, are we going in guns blazing or what?" Zodie asked.
"The client said that he had an insider looking into their routine so right now they're not even at the hideout right now so when we get there we wait and strike." Levy said.
"If that's the case I can keep an eye out for them from the sky."
This brought Zodie questionable looks from shadow gear,
"How're you gonna do that dude?" Jet asked.
Zodie grew a wide grin on his face as he sprouted his wings making Levy Jet and Droy look on with amazement.
"Wow you didn't say you could do that." Droy said.
"I just wanted to surprise you, anyway I'll keep looking out and let you know on the comm lacrima when they close."
"Great idea just don't try to take them on alone okay." Levy said.
"You got it and Zodie then took off into the air."
After surveying the area for what felt like nearly an hour he then spotted a group of men looking peculiar; this had to be them.
"Guys this is Zodie come in I located the bandits coming your way."
"Nice work ZO, we'll meet you down here and surprise them." Said Levy.
The group of bandits were hauling a huge amount of money they had just stolen. "Man what a haul, can't wait to spend it, I'm going to shower myself with pretty ladies." One bandit said.
"I'm getting new fabrics." Another said.
But as they were walking they soon became surrounded by a vortex of dirt around them, it finally came to a stop revealing Jet standing in front of the group tipping his hat. Droy Jet and Levy came out from behind a tree and Zodie came touching down taking a stance for a fight.
"Oh man there with fairy tail." One bandit said.
"That's right so drop the gold and surrender." Jet ordered.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way, your choice." Droy said, holding his sacred seeds.
"Screw you, we're not afraid of two punks, a dainty girl and a kid, come on boys, let's get them."
The bandits came in charging at the wizards.
"Falcon Heaven Ward." Jet used his magic and zoomed straight through the group, sending some flying.
"Sacred seed, knuckle plant." Droy threw a couple of seeds making vines with fist come out and attack some bandits.
"Solid script, lighting." Levy created the word lighting which zapped a good majority of the bandits.
Zodie was merely impressed.
"Zodie watch out." Droy warned.
A bandit came from behind with a club about to strike him but the phoenix child performed flip dodging it and delivering a kick to his face. "Dark phoenix talon."
"Oh nice moves man." Jet complimented.
"Thanks, I hope Wendy and Carla are doing alright."
Back with Wendy and Carla's group things were pretty hectic; Fairy tail truly lived up to their name as being very destructive and Wendy and Carla had front row seats to it all. Natsu burned a lot of buildings, Gray froze everything and Erza did worse damage than the two put together. Lucy stood next to the two girls sharing in her despair.
"I'd say you'd get used to it but, honestly you just don't get used to it." The blonde cried.
"Hey good news we captured Tooms, let's bring him in." Said Natsu, carrying a man in his early thirties with long white hair all tied up."
Lucy grew a tick mark on her head. "Geez did you guys have to go all ham all over the down, this'll so come out of our pay."
"Oh don't worry we can pay for it with our next job." Natsu said, rubbing off on her concern.
"Why do I even bother?" Lucy said looking down in disdain.
After a few hours team natsu were back on the train heading back to fairy tail with only half of their reward money, Wendy got a much bigger portion since it was her first job with them.
"Sorry this wasn't how you expected things to turn out for you two." Lucy said.
"It's fine I got a good portion and I now know what to expect."
"I admire the optimistic child but I warned you about this." Carla scolded, making Wendy pout at her.
"Carla." Wendy whined.
However unbeknownst to the bandits working under tooms regained consciousness grabbed a nearby stick and came charging behind Lucy, Wendy had spotted this in time she dashed behind Lucy to defend her.
"Lucy watch out, Sky dragon roooaar." The bandit was blown away right into a wall knocking him out again.
"Wow Wendy you saved me thanks."
"No problem, I'm glad you're ok."
Natsu came over and patted Wendy on the head. "Way to kick some butt their kid, nice."
"Thanks."
"No, that was all wrapped up here let's report back to our client, we still need to answer for the damage."
Back at the fairy tail guild team Natsu returned Wendy and Carla had already spotted Zodie eating at the bar, she and Wendy raced over towards him. "Zodie hey."
The boy turned his head to see his two bestest friends.
"Hey girls how'd it go?"
"We got the bad guy but we, mainly Natsu and Gray and Erza left the town a mess and we only got half the payment, plus I did save Lucy." Wendy answered. "But how was your job?"
"Great, we took down some bandits who stole some gold shadow gear. It was awesome, also you want some of my reward money."
Wendy shook her arms. "You don't have to do that Zodie, it's your money you keep it."
"How about we just put our money together to buy something then, that's fair right?"
"Sure so since we're done with work, wanna relax."
"Sure, also before I forget." The sky maiden took out a yummy cake from a bag. "Erza got this for us, she said it's a tradition, she gets them every time the guild gets a new member."
"Now that's a tradition I can get behind." Zodie began drooling.
The trio began to enjoy their pastries delight.
"Hey, after this I can show you around the town."
"Sounds good."
