A/N: Hello all, so I've been wanting to try my hand at writing fanfiction for a long while now and have finally given it the ole' college try. First-time writer constructive criticism welcome.

Be warned before going into this story that I'll be taking liberties with cannon. Un-beta'd.

Coming to a stop and looking up at the sky, I let out a sigh. I was bored. Noticing a bench up ahead on the sidewalk, I made my way to it and sat down. I'm unsure how my life got to this point. At only twenty-four, I'm still in the prime of my life. I should be exploring and experiencing new things, but here I am, trapped in a dull nine-to-five job.

Looking back, I can easily pin-point when everything went south for me. At eighteen, I had just finished my gap year between graduating high school and going to college when my parents passed away in a car accident. Being relatively young still, not even in their fifties, they lacked a substantial life insurance policy. The money only covered their debts and the house.

I honestly hadn't handled their deaths well. My mother had been my best friend and my dad, my rock. With the state of semi-depression I was in, I holed myself in their house and lived off of the rest of my savings for the next two years. It wasn't until my dad's best friend moved back to town and found out how I had been living did things change.

He had come to check up on me after getting settled back in town, and after figuring out that I had been almost completely alone for two years with nothing but books and anime to keep me company, he lit a fire under me. Telling me how my parents wouldn't want me to waste away my life like this and that I needed to live again. After spending the next few weeks going over my options, I finally decided that college wasn't for me. Speaking with my dad's friend about it, he told me he had a position in his company's IT department that I could have. It was entry level, but I would get training while working, and the pay was great.

That leads us to today. While I had moved up in the company and I was extremely grateful for my dad's friend giving me the job, it had become dull. With the amount of hours I worked, I hadn't been able to make any new friends, and the friends I had from high school had long forgotten I existed. With no social life, I had lost myself in the worlds of anime and fantasy books, living my life through the stories of guys and girls getting whisked away from the boring lives and entering worlds of fantasy.

With another sigh, I finished reminiscing about my life and stood up, intent on heading on to my house and finding a good book to start, when I heard tires screeching to my left. Jerking my head towards the sound, I was met with bright headlights as a truck barreled towards me. With no time to move out of the way, I braced myself for impact and my world went black.

Coming to, I frantically patted myself down, expecting to be missing body parts. When I noticed I wasn't in any pain, and the shock passed, I looked up and took in where I was.

It was white. For as far as I could see in any direction, there was white. Slowly turning in a circle, I couldn't tell if there were walls, a ceiling, or even a floor. As I finished my turn, I noticed a middle-aged man sitting at a desk that wasn't there before.

Noticing that I had finished my inspection of the space we were in, he waved for me to sit in the chair across from him. "Come, Mr. Cross. We have a few things to go over. Have a seat and I'll explain what's going on."

Doing as he said, I made my way over to the chair he was indicating. After I sat down, I took a moment to gather my thoughts. I was obviously dead. There was no way I survived the impact from that truck. It was going too fast. The man in front of me looked normal. He didn't look like some depiction of God, or the devil, so I wasn't sure what was going on.

"Mr. Cross, first let me apologize. You were not supposed to die today. Unfortunately, when the reaper order went out, your file was accidentally used instead of the Max Cross we wanted. As sad as it is, we can't send you back to your original world." He explained the situation, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that I had died because of a cosmic filing error.

After fighting back my mirth, I looked at him and spoke. "So where does that leave me, and who are you?"

"I am an Officer of Death. My job, and those like me, is to evaluate the souls of the dead and send them on to their next destination. Sometimes that is a heaven, sometimes a hell, and sometimes it's reincarnation. Your case is special. As it wasn't your time, and it was our fault, we are going to reincarnate you into a semi-random fictional universe along with three wishes."

I was a little stunned after hearing his reply. Reincarnation into a fictional universe. I almost vibrated out of my seat in excitement. As my reading history would show, I had a slight obsession with transmigration and reincarnation stories. Being able to experience it myself is a dream come true.

Mastering my excitement, I asked. "What do you mean by semi-random universe? Also, the wishes. What are the rules about them?"

He stood, moved to the right of the desk where a spinning wheel had appeared, and spoke. "We will get to the wishes and what their limits are in a moment. For the world you will go to, it will be one of three fictional worlds you have read about or watched. We will spin this wheel three times, and you will get to choose which world, out of three, that you will go to."

Finished with his explanation, he started spinning the wheel. The first world that was landed on was Naruto AU, the second was High-school DxD AU, and the last was Twilight AU.

After he finished spinning the wheel, he turned back to his desk, speaking as he went. "Now that we have chosen the three worlds you can choose from, take a moment and make your choice."

My mind immediately went to Twilight. It was simply the least dangerous out of the three as long as I play my cards right. While I could probably get on well in either of the other two universes, in Naruto I would constantly go on missions and fighting, and in DxD, I would have to deal with beings such as Trihexa and Issei Hyodo.

Twilight though, I could see myself enjoying life there. Though I didn't enjoy the movies, I loved the setting and characters, and I would love to explore what else was in the world besides what's shown in them.

"Twilight." I chose, coming out of my thoughts.

"Alright then. Let's move on to the wishes. They are fairly simple. You can't wish for omnipresence, omniscience, or omnipotence. There are a few other limitations, but they are specific to the universe and won't come up unless one of your wishes effect them."

"Alright, for my first wish, I want to be a Tribrid. Specifically, a mix of an Original from The Vampire Diaries, a Harry Potter Wizard, and a shifter from Twilight. For my second wish, I want Tony Starks IQ. For my last wish. I want a store that I can buy things from around the multi-verse from." I stated.

"Those are all doable. What do you wish for your animal form to be?" He inquired.

"I would prefer a black cougar."

He nodded. "Now, you won't get your memories back until you are five. Any earlier than that and it will cause issues with your brain. With that out of the way, let's get you out of here. A quick warning: this is an alternate universe. Not everything is as you would think based on the movies."

With his words echoing in my mind, my vision went black.

I woke up with a groan, my mind a mess. It was being assaulted with the memories of this body. My name, Jonathon Cross, was the same. I was an only child, with no recollection of a father being in the picture, though I vaguely remember my mother telling him that his father had passed away.

My mother, Sierra Cross, was a small but beautiful woman. She stood around 5'2" with dirty blond hair and a figure to die for. From the scrubs she is always wearing, she must work as a medical professional of some sort.

After a few more moments, I felt my mind settle as the old and new memories clicked together, and everything became clear. I was a fairly normal child outside of the already noticed academic prowess. I had started reading and writing at 3, and since then have devoured every book I could get my hands on. Over the last two years, I had advanced to 5th grade materials. My mother, bless her heart, was ecstatic about the smarts I had shown already, and kept getting me more and more books to read.

Right after I finished going through my memories, I heard a soft ding sound in my head.

[Store activated, please say 'menu' to bring up store.]

Blinking, I said. "Menu", and a few options presented themselves.

[Store]

[Inventory]

[Settings]

Deciding to see if I could use the store with my thought's I brought up the settings menu. There were a few settings available, such as base currency, measurement units, and store commands. Going to the store commands I set it to take thought commands. Closing the settings menu, I brought up the inventory.

When I opened the inventory, I was met with a message on top of it.

[Note: Only things bought from the store, or are no larger than 1x1 ft or weighing no more that 20lbs, can be stored in inventory.]

Absently closing the message, I noted the inventory was setup in a 4x4 grid pattern. There were two interesting things to note: it could scroll endlessly, and it looked as though I could add more tabs. At the bottom right of the grid, there was a money icon currently showing $0.00, which wasn't surprising, as I'm currently only five years old. What was surprising was the small present icon in the first box. Opening it, I looked at what I received.

[Starter Pack]

[1x Custom Wand ticket]

[1x Wand Holster ticket]

[$10,000]

That takes care of the wand issue. I was worried it would take me forever to gain a wand. Looking at the ticket icons, I looked at their information.

[Custom Wand Ticket]

When used, crafts a wand that is perfect for you

[Wand Holster Ticket]

Provides one standard forearm holster equipped with invisibility, anti-summoning, and auto-sizing runes.

I take out the wand ticket and use it. In front of me, a beautifully crafted, dark red, rectangular box appears. Reaching out and taking it, I slowly open it up. Inside, resting in a black velvet lining, I see my wand and what looks like an authenticity certificate. Though I'm eager to take hold of my wand, I take the note and read it.

Fir and Cherry with Phoenix Feather core, 12" Flexible

Fir is a wood which seeks those who are focused, strong-minded, and often intimidating. Wielders of fir wands are moderately more likely to survive when faced with mortal danger, while cherry responds well in the hands of users with great power or status. Cherry wands have a stronger offensive ability than any other wood.

Putting the certificate to the side, I looked at my wand. It was a swirling combination of red and gray. Lifting it, my very being vibrated as the wand let out a shower of multi-colored light.

It was truly hard to explain the feeling of grabbing a wand for the first time. I felt as though I was reconnecting with a long-lost friend, getting lost in the magic I felt coursing through my body. I didn't snap out of my trance until the wand stopped showering my bed with lights.

Setting my wand back in its box, I opened the inventory and took out the wand holster ticket and used it. The holster appeared in front of me on my bed. I was surprised at its appearance. It looked like a wide bracelet. Looking at the instructions that came with it; it said I was supposed to secure it to my forearm, leaving room above my wrist. Picking it up, it automatically started shrinking from its obvious adult size to something that would fit my forearm.

After putting the holster on my arm and securing my wand, I put the wand box in my inventory. I would store it somewhere visible when I've grown up some. Looking out of the window above my bed, I saw it was still dark out. Feeling slightly tired, I went back to bed.
