Disclaimer: I do not own the Monsterverse, except the OC. The series is the property of Legendary Entertainment and Toho respectively.
A/N : This one-shot was born out of a desire for me to take my first crack at writing the one and only King of The Monsters, Godzilla. The Monsterverse reincarnation of Toho's greatest legacy. This will be an AU of G: KOTM (2019). If this isn't your cup of tea, you know where the back button is. With that said, have fun.

Monsterverse
Through mythological texts, Doctor Ilene Chen discovers that Monster Zero is King Ghidorah, an ancient alien seeking to transform the Earth to his liking. Mothra emerges from her cocoon and flies to "Castle Bravo", Monarch's Bermuda base, to communicate with Godzilla, who survived the detonation of the prototype Oxygen Destroyer and is recuperating in an ancient underwater city. Via submarine, the team locates Godzilla's lair, which is highly radioactive. They deduce it will take far too long for Godzilla to heal on his own and decide to detonate a nuclear warhead to speed up the process. Dr. Serizawa sacrifices himself by manually detonating the weapon, reviving Godzilla and increasing his power.
These are the original flow of events that should be taking place. However, in this alternate universe, we're about to take a massive divergence. This is where it begins.
Void Between Realities
OOO's True Omnipotence means that he can glimpse through every and all possible realities from the eyes of respective Supreme Creator. For example, take the Marvel Reality, overseen by The One Above All or the DC Reality overseen by the Monitormind the Overvoid. If their are many omnipotent beings in the Omniverse then they would fundamentally be the same being, representing the individuality of their respective universe and unity of the infinite cosmos of other realities. Thus being a more truer omnipotent being by universal concept and the principals of omnipotence.
OOO was, for a lack of a better term, displeased. With Emma Russell, her accomplices and the idiots who dropped the prototype Oxygen Destroyer on Godzilla and King Ghidorah, which surprise, had no effect on the Three Headed Devil, while putting the King of The Monsters out of action for the foreseeable future. Humanity's stupidity will now see Monster Zero wreck havoc upon Earth alongside the other awakened Earth Titans with no Gojira to maintain the balance. What an unfortunate dilemma.
"As things stands now, everything is looking very bleak for the human race. And Godzilla will take too long of a time to heal himself up from the damage caused by the Oxygen Destroyer. Monarch's brilliant idea is to revive the G-Man with a Nuclear Explosive, which isn't a bad idea, but Godzilla will need more than just a Nuclear recharge and power boost to effectively fight against and destroy King Ghidorah. This situation requires a permanent solution of a power boost." OOO remarked.
And with that, the entity begins to shuffle through every available reality in search of a superpower that can and will give Godzilla the definitive advantage and edge against King Ghidorah and reaffirm Titanus Gojira's status as the Alpha of all Titans.
"Phoenix Force? Oh My Goodness, NO! Last thing we need is to risk Godzilla turning the Earth into cinders and transforming into a literal Cosmic SpaceGodzilla. Food for thought in another AU. Crisis Energy? Nope! Turning Godzilla into an abstract being is not in the cards, though it would be a wild prank to pull against Humanity by sicking either Golden or Darkest Godzilla on them in another AU. Chaos Force? Would be funny to see what a Godzilla with the power of the Chaos Emeralds can do. Super Godzilla to the rescue, hehehe! But nope, that's another pass and best saved for another AU. Kryptonian Physiology? A drastic increase in Strength, Speed, Agility, Reflexes and Intelligence as well, and of course, Super Senses, with abilities like Heat Vision, X-Ray Vision, Super Breath, Thunderclap, Flight, just to name a few. Pre-Crisis Superman can also make use of other energy sources like Magic and stuff outside of Solar Radiation and that can also benefit Godzilla in the long run. Besides, flying Godzilla is too hilarious to pass up, so that's a check. This technically covers Energy Manipulation as well, allowing Godzilla to harness Hollow Earth energy as well, which will be crucial in the coming future." OOO confirmed.
"Let's see, what else? AH! I should definitely add Doomsday's adaptability into the mix, so that's another check. And of course, we can't forget Size Alteration for good measure. With this, Godzilla can give King Ghidorah a taste of his own medicine and see how it feels to be the smaller Kaiju for once. That should satisfactorily cover the base of Power for Godzilla, but Power needs to be balanced with Speed. Speaking of which, AHA! The Speedforce! This should keep Monarch, Apex Cybernetics and the rest of Humanity on their toes now that they have to deal with a Titan that can disappear out of their sights with ludicrous speeds when they least expect it, MWAHAHAHA! Ahem, I should stop laughing like I'm a Saturday Cartoon Villain. Wouldn't want to give people the wrong assumptions and ideas." OOO said.
"WAIT! I can't forget to add certain abilities exclusive to the alternate counterparts of Monsterverse Godzilla. From Godzilla Ultima, we have the Atomic Ring Blast, which can act as a variation of the Atomic Breath for the G-Man. No need for adaptation, as the one from Doomsday will suffice." States OOO.
"From Showa Godzilla, increased Martial Prowess, with splashes of Judo, Kickboxing and Wrestling included, always had a laugh seeing Godzilla perform a sliding tail dropkick, HA! Let Humanity lose their minds seeing Monsterverse Godzilla perform the same impossible feat. I will enjoy their confusion." Fondly mentions OOO.
"From Shin Godzilla, the ability to shoot Atomic Beams or Blasts from his Dorsal Plates and Tail, which can qualify as an additional surprise attack King Ghidorah won't see coming for the first time. From Final Wars, Kaiser energy and the Atomic Spiral Ray, to give more oomph to Goji's firepower. From Heisei Godzilla, the burning mode, which can be multiplied on top of Goji's Thermonuclear mode if the need the end the fight quickly arises." Continues OOO.
"From Godzilla Earth, we have the Asymmetrically Permeable Shield, which can generate a powerful electromagnetic charge through an "in-vivo amplifier" located inside his dorsal plates, with his cells acting as powerful electromagnets. This pulse can be used to disable electronics around Godzilla, or produce a forcefield which surrounds Godzilla and shields him from any and all damage, including strikes from multiple nuclear warheads. Atomic Breath, another variation which is a highly-accelerated charged particle beam, which is more effective for penetrating the thick hides of other Monsters or in this case Titans, can also be turned into another variant of the Spiral Ray known as the Spiral Beam, Super Oscillatory Wave, where the resulting resonance phenomenon creates a massive shockwave cone of vibrated air, which is capable of crushing and destroying targets (Hopefully it won't burst any eardrums, but that's wishful thinking), Plasma Cutter, allowing him to generate a powerful plasma shockwave by swinging his tail at supersonic speeds of Mach 3 to 4. The shockwave produced by this attack is extremely devastating, capable of destroying anything in its path over a range of 600 meters (Humans and other smaller lifeforms should remain at least 700 meters outside of this attack's range, lest they wish to be YEETED out of existence), Metallic Tissue, where his body tissue will be integrated with metallic muscle fibers that will additionally support his massive weight on top of his skeletal frame and contribute to his impressive physical durability (We can add the nickname Monster of Steel to his resume and good luck to King Ghidorah trying to inflict harm on the Big G with the Gravity Beams), Regeneration (I took liberties with this one and put in a combined application of the ability reminiscent to that of Deadpool, Hulk and Wolverine, making it near impossible to kill the G-Man), Stealth (This right here will give everyone a major scare, being unable to detect Godzilla lest he unleashes an energy based attack), Radiation Emission (Godzilla and the other Titans are normally Radiation Absorbers, but this will allow Godzilla to make it lethal to other living things should he wish it so, and besides, it's always good to have more options in combat), Physical Abilities (With Size Alteration taken into account, this should allow Godzilla to do the same things as Godzilla Earth), Energy Conversion falls under Energy Manipulation so it's self-explanatory, meaning Electromagnetic energy is now accessible to Godzilla as well." OOO adds further.
"And finally, the Nuclear Pulse, possessed by different counterparts of Godzilla in their normal state, though the Monsterverse incarnation also has the Thermonuclear Pulse which is similar in application, but only in Thermonuclear Burning Mode. It's the thought that counts." OOO finishes.
With all of that said, OOO proceeds to assimilate the selected superpowers to integrate within Monsterverse Godzilla's very being. The Nuclear Warhead wielded by Doctor Serizawa will be the trigger to awaken those myriad abilities, and at the same time, temporarily propel Godzilla's consciousness to a mental scape replica of the Void Between Realities to have a conversation with OOO.
"Once I have a heart to heart with Gojira's consciousness, Earth will be in for a shocking surprise, and I'm counting it" OOO said and grins savagely at that, which should be impossible in his true form, but hey, common sense and logic can go F*** themselves for all OOO cares.
Monsterverse
\Divergence Point/
Doctor Serizawa sacrifices himself by detonating the Weapon. However, to the dismay of Monarch, The King of The Monsters does not emerge as they expected, and what's worst, Godzilla's signature has disappeared from their tracking technologies, making it impossible to determine if Titanus Gojira has recovered his full strength or if the Oxygen Destroyer did its job too well and put the G-Man out of commission for good.
*With Godzilla in the mindscape*
252 Million years and counting. That is how long the ancient, prehistoric alpha predator known as Titanus Gojira has roamed both the Earth and Hollow Earth. In all his life, never had he ever felt so vulnerable, so weak, so useless, the fear of death without trying being all too real. And what's worse, Godzilla does not recognize his new surroundings, a realm that is either a figment of his imagination or something else beyond the Titan's comprehension.
"My, my, my! How the mighty have fallen. Humanity sure did a number on you." A disembodied voice telepathically said.
Godzilla sharply turns, looking around his surroundings, trying to identify the intrusive voice inside his head, growling with a menacingly warning tone, promising pain and death.
"At ease, Gojira! I am not your enemy. But your caution is much appreciated and acknowledged, something that has served you well in your long lived life." The same disembodied voice compliments the King of The Monsters.
Godzilla tones down his aggression, curiously tilting his head at that statement, still wary but giving the unknown entity the benefit of the doubt to understand where this line of conversation is about to head, yet also wanting to know the identity behind the voice.
"I see you're curious to find out why you are here. Good. This won't take too long. Wouldn't want to leave the fate of the world in Humanity's hands now, would we? Especially with your arch-nemesis King Ghidorah on the loose and commanding the other Titans barring Mothra with his own Alpha Call to drive Humanity to extinction and shape the Earth in his own twisted image." The voice adds on.
Godzilla growls with pure, unbridled anger at that, furious at the Humans for thwarting his attempt to drown and kill King Ghidorah and at the same time furious at King Ghidorah's successful escape from his powerful grip and the harsh embrace of the deep ocean. Many thoughts running at the possible consequences of his arch-nemesis and most ancient rival flying around and about unchallenged and uncontested in his absence.
"There, there, now, it happens to everyone. And you will have the chance to rectify Humanity's blunder. But first allow me to properly introduce myself." The Voice cuts off Godzilla's train of thoughts with that statement.
Godzilla senses a ripple around himself, observing the phenomenon as finally, the origin of the voice materializes itself in front of the Titan , and it momentarily shocks Godzilla into silence, as floating in front of him is a being closely resembling Godzilla himself, albeit looking like a physical manifestation of a Kaleidoscopic Universe with Stars adorning its celestial body, with bigger arms and a longer reach, with both arms and legs containing 5 digits respectively like a humanoid, with the entity appearing more draconic with highly defined scales, pointy ears and no gills, as if it doesn't need gills to breath underwater.*1*
"Apologies for the form I'm assuming, as I believe it would put you more at ease to communicate with something resembling a member of your species." The now revealed OOO clarifies to Gojira.
Godzilla begins to sadly reminisce at the mention of the Godzillasoraus species, wondering if there are still other surviving members.
"I feel your pain and sorrow, Gojira. Rest assured, that wherever they are, the rest of your kind are at peace, and should there be other survivors, you might cross paths with them in due time." OOO states to the King of The Monsters.
Godzilla looks at OOO, analysing the anomalous entity, as if trying to judge him with his gaze, trying to discern his intentions.
"Anyways, I will not take more of your time, so before you go back to challenge King Ghidorah for a final time, I wish to share something crucial with you, Gojira. Something you will find important, significant. In the aftermath of the Human going by Ishiro Serizawa's sacrifice by detonating the Nuclear Bomb to revive you, I took that window of opportunity to grant you with formidable abilities, the explosion of the Weapon being the trigger I have exploited and used to conditioned to manifest those abilities within you. Once you regain consciousness, you will find yourself more powerful, with greater vigorous vitality unlike anything you have ever experienced in more than 250 million years of your existence." OOO says with resolute bluntness, aware that Godzilla does not do shenanigans.
Godzilla remembers the strange Human that sacrificed his life to revive him, and recalling the brief connection and understanding that was established between Human and Titan alike, and the last words of Serizawa: "Sayonara, tomo yo!" Godzilla then looks at OOO with a more critical perspective, as if asking OOO the Supreme Being to elaborate more on his last words.
"With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility. You have wielded power with the respect it deserves and warrants, Gojira, so understand the amount of trust I am putting in you by granting you even more abilities than you have already possessed. It will essentially turn you into a Terrifying Miracle, as all Miracles should be Majestic and Terrifying to behold, you especially more so. For you are not merely a mindless, destructive force of nature, but a Guardian entrusted by Mother Nature to enforce and restore balance in this benevolent, cruel, beautiful and ugly world. Prepare yourself, Gojira. The assimilation process can be absolutely overwhelming and the changes that follow even more so." OOO warns with a deep tone.
Godzilla has but only a moment to wonder what that final statement meant before suddenly, without anytime to prepare, the King of The Monsters felt his very being assaulted with an unidentifiable force on an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual scale, with the Titan unable to do anything but allow the changes to take place, waiting for this process to be over done and with. After an unspecified amount of time, the feeling disappears just as quickly as it appeared again without any warning. And then, everything the Supreme Being said now begins to make sense, as Godzilla feels a significantly incredible increase in his Intelligence, as things begin to become vividly clear. The Titan has also felt a ludicrous increase in his power and speed, and the potential results and what they entail excites Godzilla, eager to experiment with his new, unfamiliar yet potent abilities. The Titan then looks at OOO, his gaze now harbouring a new found level of respect for the entity that has done more for him in less than an hour than Humanity could ever dream to do.
"No thanks is required, Gojira. I am more than happy to assist in your endeavour to end the Three Headed Devil from the Stars. Now go, show the world why you are the King of The Monsters, let them know you are a Force to be reckoned with, and remind them that TITANUS GOJIRA IS HERE!" OOO finishes the conversation with a booming voice.
At that, Godzilla raises his head and unleashes the mightiest roar he can muster:
SKREEEEE-EEEEEEEAAAAAAAA-EEEEEEEONGK
In the depths of the ocean, the site of the Weapon's explosion, a revived Godzilla opens his eyes, set with absolute determination. His form begins to generate an electrifying aura of blue, boiling the water across his surroundings. Eyes brimming with more intelligence than has ever been displayed, the Titan assumes a vertical position, digs his heels on the ground, and then, takes a huge a leap in a single bound, moving to King Ghidorah's general direction, using his ability to detect energy to pinpoint the exact location of his nemesis the East Coast of the U.S.A for a final confrontation with Ghidorah, with Godzilla moving at incomprehensible speeds, faster than a speeding bullet, faster than the speed of the sound, the protective aura of the Speedforce protecting Godzilla from the harsh effects of moving at super speeds, greatly heightening his durability even further than before. Ghidorah will never know what hit him, and by the time he does, it's over.
Back in the USA, upon realizing Madison has taken the Orca, Emma sets out to rescue her. Before she can board a jeep to leave, Jonah and his men surround her. Jonah mocks Emma's preoccupation with finding her daughter over their mission, but she draws a gun on him. Jonah tells his men to let her leave, as they already have everything they need. In Boston, Madison has activated the Orca, which causes the Titans around the world to suddenly cease their rampage. Ghidorah, however, is alerted to the disturbance and makes his way from Washington D.C. to Boston. He is accompanied by a massive storm that sweeps through the city before he lands at the ballpark and searches for the source of the signal. Ghidorah bites down on the loudspeakers and destroys them, then peers into the pressbox to see Madison inside. He charges his gravity beams and fires them, with Madison barely being able to evade the blasts. Madison flees into the center of the stadium but is knocked down by a nearby blast from Ghidorah. She defiantly throws the Orca at Ghidorah, who looks down at Madison and prepares to finish her with his gravity beams before being blitzed over and knocked off his feet, propelled to a large distance by a gigantic blur of speed, Ghidorah impacting the ground with great force, his massive body dragging across ground, disoriented by the surprise attack.
Madison turns to see, much to her shock, that the blur is none other than Godzilla triumphantly materializing out of the blue, with his appearance drastically changed. Previously measured at 393-394 Feet or 119.8 meters, The King of Monsters now looks to be standing at a whopping 600 Feet or 182.88 meters in height, now dwarfing King Ghidorah's 521 Feet or 158.8 meters in height stature by a respectable 79 Feet or 24.0792 meters height difference. After Ghidorah gets back up, Godzilla raises his tail, now measuring at 868 Feet or 264.566 meters in length, and swings it at supersonic speeds, the shockwave produced by the attack probing to be extremely devastating, destroying anything in its path, in this case, the surrounding buildings and skyscrapers of Boston within the attack's range, which also proceeds to knock Monster Zero off his feet once again, throwing him at a large distance before once again impacting the ground. Godzilla begins running at his foe, taking advantage of Ghidorah's open guard and collides with his arch-nemesis, producing a massive shockwave that shakes Boston to its core.
Back aboard the Argo with the others, the group is still waiting at the site of the Weapon's explosion beneath the surface of the ocean for Godzilla to emerge when they receive a transmission that Godzilla has already made landfall in the East Coast of the USA at Boston, engaging King Ghidorah and winning the one-sided battle. Shocked, the group wonder how Godzilla managed to evade their tracking technology without their knowledge and reached Ghidorah's current location in less than half an hour, and began to ponder if the Nuclear Warhead's explosion forced a major leap of evolution in Godzilla's physical capabilities beyond calculable parameters. Having no time to really think about it, the Argo makes a hasty flight to Boston, with Mark Russell hoping beyond hope that Madison is still alive, okay and that they're not too late to save her.
Back to the site of the battle, Godzilla continuously begins to overpower Ghidorah, using a proper application of power and speed to overwhelm his foe. Ghidorah is beginning to get frustrated, unable to comprehend how drastically the power gap between himself and Godzilla has grown in his foe's favour, and judging by the expression on Godzilla's face, he knows this fact as well. Now angered at the apparent mocking nature of his nemesis, Ghidorah begins to charge in Godzilla's direction, and as he does, Godzilla, charging up his dorsal plates, releases a roar at an extremely high volume. The resulting resonance phenomenon creates a massive shockwave cone of vibrated air, which crushes and destroys any structure that has managed to survive Godzilla and Ghidorah's clash, and attack also serves to slam onto Ghidorah with crushing force, caving in the three headed space dragon's chest and decapatating the middle head as well, yet again sending Ghidorah propelling off his feet and falling on his back, landing on his wings, which receives the brunt of the impact as his body slides across the ground. Ghidorah roars in agonizing pain, trying to gather his thoughts and failing, the pain being too overwhelming to form coherent thoughts. Godzilla, amused at his foe's visible discomfort, chuckles with a rumbling delight.
As Godzilla closes in on him, deliberately yet slowly on purpose, as Godzilla can move much faster than he has shown, Ghidorah calls out to Rodan, who arrives and attacks Godzilla, to no visible effect, as the collision does not faze Godzilla, but to Rodan, it felt as if he's scrapping and clawing against hyper dense metallic tissue, as the sound produced is akin to hitting metal. Rodan retreats and attempts to strike again, but Godzilla intercepts the Fire Titan, grappling his foe in a firm grip, then proceeds to spin around with Rodan still in his grip, then promptly tosses away the Titan to an opposite direction, sending Rodan crashing into another ruined building for his troubles. Godzilla then returns his attention to Ghidorah, who appears to have regenerated the damage to his chest and in a hideous display, an elongated tongue sprouts from the stump where the creature's middle head once was, followed by sinews, skull bones, and lumps of flesh which become surrounded in a placenta-like sac.
As this is happening, Godzilla begins to move backwards, and begins to take a running stance. After hyping himself, Godzilla runs at his foe, but before he reaches Ghidorah, Godzilla uses his tail to slide on the ground and balance the rest of his massive frame, feet aimed forward and launches what qualifies as a Kangaroo Kick on a recovering Ghidorah, sending his nemesis off his feet once more yet this time at greater speeds, with Ghidorah proceeding to smash straight into several buildings, before finally slowing down and landing in heap. Godzilla cannot remember a time he had this much fun dominating a fight with another Titan and after all the effort and struggle to beat Ghidorah in his previous encounters before the Oxygen Destroyer, Godzilla now knows he has this fight well and truly won without a shadow of a doubt.
Meanwhile, a recovering Rodan regains his bearings and decides to make a final attempt to ambush Godzilla and land a critical blow if possible, but before he can try a third time, Mothra arrives and pins his wings against the ground by spitting silk at them. Apparently, Mothra was observing the battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah from another distance, and deciding to attack now to make sure Godzilla's attention isn't divided between fending off two foes, allowing the King of Monsters to put his full focus and attention on eliminating Monster Zero.
In the chaos of it all, with Godzilla and Ghidorah fighting on the ground while Mothra is occupied with preventing Rodan from taking flight, Madison seeks refuge in her and her mother's former home in Boston. Back at Fenway, the Argo, having finally arrived to Boston after an unspecified amount of time, Mark and G-Team cannot find Madison though they do find the damaged Orca. Emma pulls up in her jeep and orders them all to get in. They are able to track Madison down to the house, and find her unconscious hiding inside a bathtub. Fortunately, she regains consciousness and the family is reunited at last in an embrace.
After escaping the silk trap, Rodan engages Mothra and takes the fight in the skies. After a while, Rodan seriously injures Mothra by burning her wings, and slams her against a skyscraper. Mothra uses her claws to knock Rodan off the side of the building, but he immediately flies back and pins her on the top of the building. Mothra dodges as Rodan attempts to stab her with his beak, and finally impales him through the chest with her stinger. Rodan looks down in shock as the sting immobilizes him, and he soon falls screaming furiously into the flaming city below.
Meanwhile, an irate and out of patience Ghidorah feeds on a nearby electrical transformer, charging his body with electrical energy that he projects from his wings in countless directions, not knowing that Godzilla has been holding back considerably to test the new abilities gifted to him by OOO. The attack leaves Godzilla unfazed, forcing Ghidorah to finally take flight, realizing that he cannot beat Godzilla in a battle of attrition, especially on the ground where his nemesis holds the advantage. Godzilla feigns concern as Ghidorah rises to the sky, which draws a wicked chuckle from the three headed menace, now self-assured in his victory his supposed superiority, charges at Godzilla, with his feet aimed forward in a grabbing motion. Noticing this, Godzilla begins to grin with a knowing look, as if aware of a joke his nemesis isn't privy to. This confuses Monster Zero, which is all the signal Godzilla needs to take a kneeling pose, one of his hands formed into a fist, pressing against the ground, and suddenly, the ground around Godzilla begins to swirl into a violent mini whirlwind, and in a surprising burst of speed, Godzilla launches from the ground, taking flight, WITHOUT WINGS. Ghidorah bellows in shock, panicking at the unexpected display of aerial manoeuvrability by his nemesis and tries to change directions, but far too little too late. Godzilla collides with Ghidorah in the air with tremendous force, forming another intense shockwave felt across Boston once more.
Godzilla maintains a harsher grip on Ghidorah by wrapping his now longer arms around his foe, trapping Ghidorah in an effective Titan Hug and begins pulling him into the air. Ghidorah tries to bite down on Godzilla with all three heads, in an attempt to drain his foe of his energy, but Ghidorah can't maintain any sort of group, teeth scrapping off against metallic tissue and scale, while any attempt to drain Godzilla of his energy is repelled by a protective aura surrounding Godzilla, courtesy of the Speedforce, coupled with the assymetrically permeable shield and a bio-electric aura generated by Godzilla's newly acquired Kryptonian DNA, protecting the King of Monsters from energy leeching and his adaptation ensuring that any energy based attack Ghidorah launches at him is rendered null and void. Godzilla strangles him until he goes limp, all while flying progressively higher into the sky. After soaring above the clouds, Godzilla releases Ghidorah and sends him plummeting back to the ground. Ghidorah strikes the ground lifelessly, and can barely move, whining pathetically as Godzilla lands to finish him off. But before he can do so, Godzilla comes to a halt, sensing smaller energy signatures in the area, and only now remembering the other small signature he sensed prior to his arrival in Boston to fight Ghidorah.
Emma and Mark race to repair the Orca so that Ghidorah can be drawn away from Godzilla, as both are now aware that Godzilla is in no real danger and should he choose to exert more of his true strength, all of Boston can be levelled into a wasteland akin to a warzone, giving no time for the G-Team to escape in the Osprey and then the Argo. Mark, G-Team, and Madison board the Osprey as Emma stays behind to finish calibrating the Orca. Once it is activated, a weakened Ghidorah attempts to retreat from an unexhausted Godzilla and begins making his way in the humans' direction, sensing them as the weakest link and a potential emotional weakness of Godzilla the three headed menace can exploit. As Ghidorah draws near the Osprey, Emma realizes that it won't be able to escape him with the Orca aboard. She takes the Orca and enters the jeep, causing Ghidorah to chase after her while the Osprey escapes. Ghidorah pursues Emma furiously before destroying the jeep with a gravity beam. Emma is thrown from the vehicle and lands on the ground mortally wounded. As Ghidorah looms over her, she utters the phrase "Long live the king."
Godzilla appears behind Ghidorah, grabs the Winged Three Headed Titan and tosses him in another direction with more strength then before, sending Ghidorah flying off his feet for the umpteenth time before falling to the ground, again. A recurring theme at this point. As Ghidorah begins to regain his footing, Godzilla turns around, aiming his back and his dorsal plates in Ghidorah's direction. Godzilla begins to charge up his atomic blast, except this time, it fires off in a stream of concentrated beams at Ghidorah, pelting Monster Zero in a hail of explosion, much to his consternation and pain. After that, Godzilla turns around and faces forward but this time, he aims the tip of his prehensile tail at Ghidorah and fires off another atomic blast from the tip of his tail in a concentrated particle beam, the attack hitting Ghidorah's left foot and sending him into a falling heap. With one leg down, Ghidorah is forced to awkwardly support his massive frame with his right leg and wings. While he's busy doing so. Godzilla begins to charge up his Atomic Breath, only instead of ejecting it from his mouth, it is formed by his electromagnetic shield into a highly concentrated particle beam, though Godzilla tones down the power output due to its ability to affect and destroy electronic devices more than 300 Kilometers away at its maximum, and fires just strong enough of the attack to cause critical damage to Ghidorah but weak enough that it doesn't disable nearby electronic devices.
The Atomic Breath strikes true, piercing into Ghidorah's chest and piercing out of his back, immobilizing his wings for the time being and robbing Ghidorah's ability to escape by air. Though minimized, the attack still causes a shockwave, reverberating across the torn battlefield. With the G-Team now back aboard the Argo after succesfully escaping the battlezone with the Osprey, Stanton determines that the amount of radiation Godzilla absorbed from the explosion is too great, meaning he will explode like an atomic bomb at any given moment, prompting the Argo to fly away into a hasty retreat outside of the incoming explosion's range. Meanwhile, Godzilla, feeling to urge to release to unleash a Thermonuclear Pulse, prepares to expel the excess energy from his body while preparing to mitigate the worst of the fallout with his bio-electric aura, electromagnetic shield and protective aura to reduce radiation leak. At the same time, Godzilla begins to charge up his Atomic Breath once more, this time into its most powerful variant, the Atomic Spiral Ray. Godzilla charges up the attack, his dorsal fins glowing from luminous blue to ominous red. The radiation inside his body built to critical levels to the point his skin is covered in fiery fissures and everything around him melts from the intense heat. Godzilla roars at his nemesis as his dorsal fins spark and glow. A huge nuclear pulse of energy bursts forth from Godzilla, taking the shape of Godzilla's head and making the sound of his roar, and simultaneously fires the Atomic Spiral Ray. Sensing his impending and inevitable demise, King Ghidorah aka Monster Zero unleashes a final, spiteful roar and defiance and denial:
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-K-K-K-K-K
The pulse incinerates the flesh from Ghidorah's wings, causing him to reel back. Ghidorah falls onto his back, and frantically fires his gravity beams in retaliation. Godzilla is unaffected this time, however, and emits another pulse that disintegrates both his left and right heads. As Godzilla stomps down on Ghidorah's chest, the energy inside him finally explodes, leveling a huge portion of Boston in a fiery burst of energy. The explosive display is brighter than expected, but the Monarch team had the foresight to close their eyes to avoid permanent blindness aboard the Argo, the aerial flagship far enough away not to be hit with the radiation of the nuclear pulse. The rubble left behind begins to move, after which the burned but recognizable head of Ghidorah emerges. However, it is soon revealed to be nothing more than Ghidorah's final disembodied head and is hanging from Godzilla's mouth. Godzilla fires his atomic breath, igniting Ghidorah's head until it finally burns away into nothing. Godzilla turns to see that Scylla, Behemoth, Methuselah, and the Queen MUTO are approaching him, while several smaller Leafwings flutter around him. Mothra, having taken cover elsewhere earlier, lands on Godzilla's large back, screeching a greeting at the King of Monsters. Godzilla turns his head to loo at Mothra and needs his head in acknowledgment of the Queen of Monsters, a symbiotic relationship between the two Titans. Godzilla then turns back around to look at the gathered Titans. He prepares to fight again if necessary. Rodan, bearing a massive wound in his chest but still very much alive and mobile, approaches Godzilla and roars up angrily at him. Mothra screeches back at Rodan for his continued defiance, but Godzilla raises one of his arms, signaling to Mothra he has control of the situation. Godzilla then proceeds to stare down at Rodan, and his expression convinces the winged Titan to back down and submit to him. The other Titans follow suit, each "bowing" in their own way to the new King of the Monsters.
Godzilla raises his head and unleashes his victory roar, for all the world to hear:
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-ONGK
On Skull Island, Kong hears the distant roar, proceeds to snort and shrug before moving about his daily activity. At day's end, King Kong aka Titanus Kong bows to one. Not even to Godzilla: King of The Monsters. But to the rest of the world, the message of that roar is loud and clear; he is The King of The Monsters, the Monster of Steel, God of Destruction, the Alpha of all Titans, and he is not going anywhere. GODZILLA IS HERE AND REIGNS SUPREME ABOVE ALL LIVING THINGS, AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT.
In the aftermath of the battle of Boston, the Titans have become docile under Godzilla's reign and have helped to rebuild the world's ecosystems. Rodan has nested in a volcano near Fiji, while Monarch has uncovered a new Titan egg that could be another Mothra or something else entirely. Not all is well though, as Skull Island has become unstable and Kong may no longer be able to keep it under control, while a news article cites a source claiming that Monarch is building a "Mechanized Titan on the island. The waters around Isla de Mara are still contaminated by the Oxygen Destroyer, and local fishermen can no longer make a living. However, one fisherman uncovered something else from the water, something which Jonah and his men have come to Mexico to see. The man leads Jonah into a room, where he shows the object in question: the head Godzilla had torn off of Ghidorah in their second battle. Jonah observes the head with diabolical intent before simply saying "We'll take it."
Elsewhere, Godzilla is swimming within the Atlantic, reminiscing the chaotic events surrounding his fallen nemesis King Ghidorah and recalls his mental conversation with the Supreme Being known as OOO. As if the Universe responded, Godzilla feels his very being getting pulled, not to the mental scape, but somewhere outside the bounds of Space and Time. For the very first time ever, Godzilla literally disappears from the face of the Earth.
Void Between Realities
A place transcending the Space-Time Continuum, the Void Between Realities has no bright colors, shifting between a Kaleidoscope of Black and White, just as OOO likes it. Expecting company, given he's the one who made the summons, OOO observes the ripple forming within the Void as Godzilla materializes into existence, not as a consciousness, but this time with his true self in the flesh. Godzilla floats casually within the void, as if expecting the social call, and maintains his gaze on OOO, whom once again is assuming the Godzilla form looking like a physical manifestation of a Kaleidoscopic Universe with Stars adorning its celestial body.
"So how does it feel to be on top of the world, Gojira?" OOO honestly asks.
Godzilla waves his arms around in different gestures, as if to say, "Feels the same, except that I am brimming with more power than I know what to do with".
"You'll get used to it. And I see you've learned sign language, a boon of your Kryptonian DNA and the Speedforce, no doubt." OOO says.
Godzilla nods, beaming with pride, not that he was a mindless brute before, but his highly increased mental faculties makes it easier to quickly master all of his newly manifested abilities in record time, and his increased vitality means he no longer has to rest for years to recover energy, especially now knowing he has more options than Nuclear energy to absorb.
"I am happy that you enjoy my gift. Use them well, and remember, with Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility." OOO reminds the Titan.
Godzilla nods in acknowledgment and understanding, vowing to live by those words.
"Before you leave, I wish to show you an alternate timeline of your final confrontation with Ghidorah had I not indirectly interfered." OOO states.
Godzilla tilts his head in curiosity, and without any further prodding, OOO shows Godzilla a vision of Godzilla's emergence from a whirlpool, his confrontation with Ghidorah nearly leading to his death, Mothra's sacrifice, giving her energy to Godzilla leading to his Thermonuclear mode. It all happens in a flash, and at the end of it, Godzilla snaps out of his daze, an unreadable expression on his face, but OOO can discern the Alpha Titan's true emotions.
"A possibility that will never come to pass. You saved the day and Mothra lives. The human known as Emma Russell, the catalyst of Monster Zero's freedom from his icy prison in the Antarctic, is dead in both scenarios. I call this a major win." OOO adds in a juvial tone.
Godzilla nods in response, deeming the vision inconsequential and chooses to live in the present moment.
"That's the spirit. Now you can go back to your Universe's Earth and do what you do best: maintain balance as Earth's chosen guardian. Goodbye, Old Friend." OOO says.
Godzilla waves his arms in a goodbye gesture, and just as he materialized into existence, the King of The Monsters de-materializes back to his home Universe.
OOO looks at the spot previously occupied by Godzilla, then turns around, looking at the audience.
"I do hope you enjoyed this story as much as I did, and with that said, that's all she wrote, folks. Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 in advance. SAYONARA!" OOO excitedly finishes with a wave.
-THE END-
*1* Final Wars Godzilla with slight alterations of my own
A/N: WHEW! That was longer than I expected it to be. I believe I broke the record set by my OPM/TB Crossover one-shot I posted back in late 2021. Hello, dear readers. It's been more than a year since I last wrote a fanfic, and I figured, why not end 2023 on a high note? With a Godzilla fanfic in celebration for the upcoming 70th Anniversary of Godzilla. To be honest, I wrote this fic in part due to the hype generated by Godzilla: Minus One (2023) and the upcoming new entry of the Monsterverse, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). I was intending to release this a day earlier if possible, but oh well. Better late than never, I suppose. Apologies if there are any mistakes. Please read and review, and flame reviews will be ignored and deleted. With that said, hope you have enjoyed my third story and a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 to all of you.
