I apologize for the delay in posting, I wanted to post sooner but got very sick with the flu. Still recovering but wanted to give everybody the start of the story to ring in the new year, so happy early 2024!

I hope this new year brings peace and happiness to everybody ❤️

So without further ado, welcome to His Saving Grace!

(EDIT: I'm SO sorry that when I first posted this chapter the formatting came out in text that was not readable. Hopefully this will work fine now, and again I apologize to all you readers who attempted to read the first chapter but couldn't.)

Find that artifact. It was the only way to find Megatron. And the allspark.

Barricade had his orders, and he would follow them to the letter. Anything to find their leader and have Starscream cease his exasperating chatter over his comm link all throughout the solar cycle.

As he pulled out of that parking lot where Air Force one had landed and he retrieved Frenzy, he searched the police database computer connected to his vehicle form.

A pair of ocular lenses that was inscribed with their language would point them in the right direction. And he had to find them.

Within seconds he had a lead; as it turns out one of the Witwicky descendants was selling them on eBay. What a catch.

Name: Sam Witwicky, with the eBay username ladiesman217.

Location: Tranquility, Nevada.

eBay item: #21153

Get those glasses before the Autobots do.

Barricade sped through the night as quick as his wheels could take him to the state of Nevada.

None would stand in his way.

"What, so your car just grows legs overnight and steals itself? Likely story, Sam."

A long haired brunette with light blue eyes came strolling down the steps with a book in her hand.

"Believe me or not Grace, it's the truth."

21 year old Grace Witwicky just rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face, "Yeah whatever. I'm sure mom and dad loved that excuse when they had to bail you out."

"Can I at least have some support from my older sister?"

"Oh sure." Grace stared at him seriously for a moment and gave him a look of sympathy before she smirked and that look vanished, "You're crazy."

Sam just sighed and threw his hands up in the air, "Whatever, whatever. Don't believe me, fine. But I know what I saw."

"Uh huh. Just know that I love you, crazy or not." She teased him as she batted him across the shoulder a little roughly. Her normal way of showing him affection.

Sam just groaned and held his shoulder for a second, being a little dramatic before he saw her grab her purse. "Where are you off to?"

"Library. Finished this book, now on the search for another. Want to get as much reading in as possible before the college break ends."

"You're such a nerd." Sam retorted.

"At least I'm not the one who's psycho with the "car that drives itself."" Was her immediate comeback.

"Okay bye loser." She quickly told him as she walked out of the house and grabbed her bike sitting on the side of the house. She took a deep breath of the beautiful summer air and smiled to herself before she took off riding.

"What could Sam possibly be thinking? Cars that drive themselves? Ha! Maybe in the far future."

"And that was a big maybe.."

Or was it?
