46Cursed Chains
Hey guys! This is my first Jujutsu Kaisen fanfiction and my second fanfiction that I'm writing. I couldn't continue my first story as there was a block on how to proceed with things in that story. I'm also unsure about this story, but I'll try to write something entertaining. English is not my first language, I don't think you'll find many grammatical mistakes, but I'm not so sure about the storytelling. Let me know if you like the story and provide your advice in the review section. Thank you.
Utahime was cursing herself while shaking like a leaf. It all started when she along with Mei-san entered this creepy building, due to several missing cases of Job hoppers, college students, high school students, and even some policemen who came to investigate the cause of the missing cases. When they got out of the car, Mei interrupted her before she formed a veil—saying that she couldn't sense the curses' presence except from inside the building. But, she haven't said anything about how many were inside the freaking building.
Here she is, running and barely keeping herself from shouting obscenities. She should have just gone with Mei when she asked if she wanted to tag along. she showed non-existent bravery and confidence while sluttering herself saying that she could do the walking herself...and the door just closed itself while making the screeching noise. Why did she have to be here in this scary position? Why can't it be that blasted Gojo Satoru?
As she went through every door to find anything suspicious..well suspicious for a haunted mansion anyway. She went to check the last room on the second floor, which seemed to be a kids' bedroom. just as she was about to turn around, she heard some noise under the bed. She bent down to check and suddenly she was face to face with a pair of blue eyes which startled her and she ran screaming and closed the door as soon as she was outside the room to avoid being caught by whatever it was. She was about to burst a tear dam when something touched her shoulder and began the siren again.
"You could be the next big Scream Queen Utahime." She turned around to see Mei as she went as crouched down to check the corridor of the mansion.
"Jeez, Please don't startle me like that!"
"You scared yourself. I didn't do anything" Mei countered. That's got a pout from Utahime.
"So, Anyways have you finished checking the first floor?" asked Utahime. Mei turned towards her and looked at her for a moment.
"This is the first floor" "HUH?" "I was walking down the first-floor hallway" "Wha- But?!" Mei started pointing out things " Candy, Chips, Backpack..these are all the things that I have already seen on the way here 3 times, and I have also marked down the hallway" The Utahime saw the marks that were not visible before. "It seems we are already in the belly of the beast."
"Huh...For real?" Just as they were about to move and check, they heard a knocking sound from the room that Utahime just come out of. She suddenly took a couple of steps back remembering the blue eyes that scared her just a minute before. "Mei-san, t-there's something there in that room."
Soon the sound became louder as whatever in the room wanted to break free, both of them got ready to be prepared for the curse to come out. As the door opened, both got quite a bit of shock to see a blond head peeking out to look at them with deep blue eyes. As the figure came out they started to notice it was not a curse but a 10-year-old body. The blond looked at both of them before focusing on the Miko. "You...why did you close the door on me?"
If Utahime was scared shitless before now she's utterly mortified with embarrassment. Like she's a grown woman for god's sake and got scared of a kid. "Uh, sorry I thought you were a curse!"
"Curse?" Utahime's eyes widened with her slip-up. Before she could correct herself the kid continued "You mean the weird ugly blue-green thingy" Mei kneeled beside the kid.
"Hmm...something like that. Where did you see that? Did it do anything to you? Are you hurt anywhere?" she questioned with Utahime checking the boy for any injuries.
Shaking his head he replied "Umm-hmm...it vanished when my chain touched it, like it it became some small pieces and mixed in the air." That got an intriguing look from Mei and a scared look from Utahime.
"hmm...could show me your chains?" He nodded his head and manifested a silvery chain from his palm.
"I got scared when it came toward me, so it tried to slap it away and I felt these chains coming from my hand." he started pulling out the chain more and more till reached a length of a meter. "I came here to see the mansion as I'm sort of interested in Occult activities. When I reached here, the rain started pouring out more and more and I had to stay here." both of the women nodded.
"So, it may be a bit late for the Introductions, but..yeah, My name is Iori Utahime and this is Mei Mei, so what's your name?"
He looked at both of them for a minute and answered "My name is Uzumaki Naruto" "Ramen toppling?" "NO! It means Maelstrom" he responded hotly.
"Anyways, we have to start looking for a way out of this Utahime. I've already circled here 3 times. This doesn't look like an Innate Domain. So what could it be?"
"Then it means it's likely a Barrier to keep things inside" "Good, and considering the use of the technique, the cursed spirit should be weak. We just have to escape his barrier." For Naruto, these women are just talking while moving in the same place. Soon, the Miko just started to say something while making some shapes with the boxes on the floor. Even if he doesn't understand the things that they're speaking about, he gets the idea that they were trapped in this building and whatever that trapped them should be weak as it's using the techniques to keep them here. After some more talking they decided to run opposite ways to escape. Mei looked at the boy and asked "Can you run? Or I can carry you while running, I'm stronger than I look" He nodded as she carried him on her shoulder and started running.
As reached the end of the hallway, something started to pull the building like a magnet pulling out the iron particles in the sand, as soon they jumped out of the building. He turned his head to look up, saw what looked like blue energy pulling up the Building, and left it as a rumble. As he started walking alongside the blue-haired woman, he saw a white-haired teen and a black-haired teen picking on the Miko, while in the background, a bigger worm curse(?) caught a smaller curse in its mouth. Of course, they are by no means smaller. and soon Miko was hugging a brown-haired teen; this one was a girl.
Before he opened his mouth to ask something, the white-haired teen was in front of him face to face. 'wow, doesn't this guy know personal space?' Naruto thought as he pulled back his face from the teen. 'woo, he's tall' "Hmm...who are you little blondie, did you happen to get lost?"
"Ah! Gojo, this boy was in the mansion when we entered it, he gave Utahime quite the scare" At this Gojo laughed and Utahime whined with embarrassment. " Anyways, This boy seems to have manifested a cursed technique when he encountered a curse and exorcised it" Everyone became silent, It is not that unheard of people to awaken their cursed technique when they encounter a curse, but to manifest it this young and on top of exorcising it is certainly very rare.
"So, kid, what's your name? Age? Which school did you go to? What about your parents? Can you show me your cursed technique?" Gojo went on a tangent of question as Naruto looked on with an unamused expression.
"Uzumaki Naruto, 12 years old, The one in this area, I skipped school today, and Godfather was supposed to pick me up in half an hour, and here" He manifested the chain just like before, but this time he managed to extend it up to 2 meters. Gojo removed his goggles and looked at the chains with his Six-Eyes. The technique is certainly new, these chains have a pointed blade at the tips, and the rest of the length is made up of several small links connected going back to the Hand. When he touched them, he felt a very small numbing feeling in his hand. At first, he did not understand what was happening but he soon realized when concentrated his eyes, he could see his cursed energy was being snipped off and going to Naruto.
He looked at the kid with a very puzzled expression, who looked back at him with an equally confused expression. While this was happening, Geto, Shoko, and Utahime gathered around them. Geto looked at his friend and the blond kid and questioned his friend "What happened Satoru? You alright?".
Gojo grinned "Yes, yes, I'm perfectly fine. I have found something that didn't exist till now." He paused for some dramatics."The kid's chain can absorb cursed energy from others and give it to him" Everyone's eyes widened while looking back and forth from Gojo to Naruto and the chain. "I know what you're thinking, this never happened before and should technically be impossible right?" everyone except Naruto nods their head "But these eyes won't lie to me. I can see up to the cellular level with them. Of course, he is not that capable of taking a big chunk of it with a single chain in a small time frame. Yet," said Gojo looking into the kids eyes.
Then Gojo asked him the question, "Say, kid, do you want to become a sorcerer just like us? want to join Jujutsu tech?"
"Eh...what is a sorcerer? what do they do? why do I have to join in jujutsu?" At this, everyone sweatdropped realizing they were talking with someone who didn't know juju magic that they had known for years by now. Utahime and Shoko gave the kid a bit of a crash course regarding what is this Jujutsu, and what they do. what are curses and why do they have to fight it?
"Of course, you don't have to join immediately, you can join when you're 15, like high school."
"Maa..maa...aren't you all being too hard on the kid, he just witnessed all this drama, and I'm sure he needs some time, not to mention that his guardian is probably searching for him by now" interrupted Mei Mei. "Gojo, Utahime, please escort the kid to his school, we'll clean up here."
Gojo and Utahime looked at each other and gave their respective huffs and started walking towards him. "Um, my bag was in the mansion...now rumble" Everyone looked at the rumble and Geto summoned some small curses to look through the rumble and within some minutes brought forth a dusty but still intact bag. "Thank you very much...uhh" " Geto Suguru" "Thank you very much Geto-san" "Don't mind it, kid". Soon, Gojo and Utahime started walking him back to school.
"Damnit Gojo, will you shut up?"
"Why? Will you cry?" By this time Utahime was fuming, this blasted Gojo, why can't he just shut up?
sigh "Can you guys chill out, you both look like kids instead of me. Look at all the people staring at you both" On cue, several people started staring at Gojo and Utahime. Utahime overcame with embarrassment and anger at Gojo, while the said person looked like he couldn't give two shits about the situation.
"Anyways, how can I contact you or anyone, I may want to visit sometime in the future." Immediately both pounced on him while asking him to take their phone number, so he had to take both of their numbers. When they reached the school they saw a tall bulky white-haired man waiting at the school gate, when he noticed them he came running with a speed that should be possible for a man of that size and age.
"Naruto! Were did went to roam you goof! Damn kid, your gonna give me a heart attack one of these days." said Jiraiya, Naruto's Godfather.
"Oh! Don't worry, I'm not that young Oldman, I just went to the convenience store. This couple escorted me back here." At the mention of the word couple, Utahime's smile tightened, and Gojo's smile got brighter after looking at her face.
"Oh! Thank you very much, youngsters. I hope he didn't bother you both that much" Jiraya brought Naruto under his arm and made him bow along with him.
"Oh, no, no, we had some fun time with your kid. We'll take our leave." Utahime dragged Gojo away after sending her bye.
"huh, what a weird couple." commented Jiraiya after they were out of hearing distance." Now, for this stunt, you pulled, no ramen for a week." He declared looking at Naruto.
"AH! Nooo, please, please" "No" They went their way arguing about the ramen. Later that night, Naruto thought long and hard about whether he should consider the offer or not, after much more deep thinking he went to sleep keeping the info in the back of his mind.
- 6 months after the star plasma vessel incident -
Utahime had just been promoted to Semi Grade 1 sorcerer, and she was thinking about applying as a teacher in Kyoto Jujutsu High after a couple of years of experience when she received a phone call.
Hello Utahime-san? This is Uzumaki Naruto, we met at the haunted mansion 6 months back" came the voice of the person from the other side which instantly recognized.
"Ah! Hello Uzumaki-kun, everything's alright?" she questioned, Naruto was silent for a minute.
"Would it be possible for you to meet tomorrow? I'll share the address" Utahime agreed to meet up near any cafe.
The next day came, and we met up in a cafe that is near Naruto's home. Utahime observed the boy, who had grown up quite a bit since they last met.
"So? What's the matter Uzumaki-kun? What's with the sudden request? Something happened?"
"Well, from that day onwards, I've been seeing those curses more and more, at first they didn't try to approach me. But 2 months back, some tried to attack me at night. Of course, I've quickly dealt with them with my chains and all. But, a month back 3 of those curses tried to attack me in the daytime. I barely managed to kill them as they are quite aggressive and able to get past my chains." Utahime was quite surprised. This kid was not only able to use his cursed technique but also quite capable of exorcising those curses without any relative knowledge and experience in Jujutsu. Utahime quickly pulled out a talisman and handed it over to him.
"Use this, keep it somewhere in your house. Those curses are probably some low-grade 4 curses that thought of you as some easy prey. With the help of these tailsmen, you can avoid them for some time. I'll give you some again if you need, so remember. Try not to fight those curses near people, if you can. While some people know of their existence, if someone from school or anyone who suddenly sees them, it'll be a lot harder to manage the mess it causes. That's why when encountering a curse, we sorcerers always use a veil so the remaining won't be affected." Naruto nodded in understanding, he had a lot to learn after all.
"Thank you very much Utahime-san". He properly bowed to her.
"Ah, Don't mind, but you mention you can make more chains right? How many can you make?"
"Oh, I was messing with that every other day and as of right now, I can make up to 9 chains of 3 meters in length each"
"Oh, that's quite the number, could you show them to me? Don't worry, people generally can't see the cursed energy or cursed techniques either, though just to make sure" She placed some seal on the table "Now, this will act as a small veil". Naruto nodded and brought out his chains. Utahime was able to see the chains, moving around him and feel the presence around him, they looked like they had minds of their own, like tails or snakes. Somehow, the visual is scary and mesmerizing at the same time. She nodded as Naruto pulled them back into his hand again.
"I'll send you a book on how to control your cursed energy efficiently, you have to promise me that only you can read the book and others shouldn't even know about that, alright?" Naruto gave his affirmative as they both got up and left their separate ways.
Utahime pulled out her phone and dialed a number "Hello, I coming, are you both available right now? I have some news. Yes, I'll be there in an hour."
"Hmm, so what you're saying is that the kid now can make more chains of his." "Have you ever listened to what I said?" As usual, Gojo ignored her and went into his thinking. After coming out of the cafe, she called Shoko and asked her if she and Gojo were available to discuss the issue.
"Ignore him Senpai, so is the kid fine now?" asked Shoko.
"Yeah, I guess. I gave him a talisman to keep the low-level curses away from his home and also gave him a book on cursed energy controlling."
"Is that fine, giving him a book like that, he didn't join the Jujutsu tech yet, right? What if you get in trouble for that?" asked Shoko.
"Oh, I think it'd be fine. It's not exactly any confidential information, and he can't ignore the Jujutsu life anymore, what with the cursed technique and his exorcising those cursed spirits. If it helps him become better and save lives, that's good right?" Gojo and Shoko can't exactly fault that Idea.
"Man, I can't wait for the kid to join Jujutsu High, I bet he'd be a blast to be around," Gojo said with his crazy laugh.

SO, here Naruto is born in the Jujutsu kaisen world, and his parents are dead. He is under the care of Jiraiya, his Godfather.
As you have probably guessed, Part of Naruto's cursed technique is the Adamantine Chains, similar to Kushina. Not many stories out there that use this concept of Naruto having those chains in his arsenal, be it straight Naruto fanfiction or crossover.
Uzumaki Naruto
Cursed Technique: Adamantine Chains.
Properties: Very strong durability ( special grade weapons durability ), Cursed energy Absorption, Certain limited levels of mass can be added to those chains to make them heavy and hit the opponents harder but the user won't be affected.
