Summary: A soul from our world dies and tries to take over the body of one of the most powerful beings in universe, Poseidon, and fails spectacularly, but the aftermath of the act and the memories left behind did end up changing the Greek God of Seas, Storms, Earthquakes, Horses, Floods and Droughts for the better. Read as Poseidon tries to fix his broken family all the while preparing for the eventual clash between his son and the enemies of Olympus.
I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians, HoO, ToA, the Cover Art or any of the other stories in the Riordanverse.
Chapter 1: In Which My Beloved Wife Becomes Even More Cute
I woke up with a start, my eyes narrowed as I was assaulted with memories of a foolish mortal who thought she could take over my body. How amusing.
Essence of The Primordial God and Essence of Blank
It was interesting to know such powers existed and now they belonged to me. It was even more surreal to know that I was but a mere character in a children's novel. The father of the protagonist even.
I knew that Sally's son would grow to be a powerful demigod but to think he would become the twice Savior of Olympus couldn't stop the warmth and immense joy from rising up within my heart.
I could feel my body practically shaking with pride, anticipation, and affection. "My Lord…" The sweet voice of my wife Amphitrite called out.
Despite my countless escapades throughout the eons my wife stayed loyal and kind, never once going out of her way to harm any of my children. Her beautiful mocha-brown eyes and silky long black hair made for a perfect contrast with her pale green skin.
She had an intoxicating figure, rivaling even the likes of my one time lover Aphrodite, the silk blanket did nothing to hide her nude form. If anything it only enhanced her beauty. I couldn't help but smile softly at the concern she showed. I leaned in and gently kissed her forehead.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you, my dearest wife?"
Amphitrite smiled but it didn't stop the golden blush on her cheeks. How adorable, even after countless millennials of me confessing my love she still blushes. "Did you find another mortal lover?"
I couldn't help myself, I threw my head back and laughed. My laugh echoed throughout the oceans, I'm sure that my daughter Kymopoleia and my son Chrysaor could hear me in the Mediterranean Sea. Chaos, I'm absolutely positive that even Varuna and Susanoo are probably confused by why I would be laughing.
Amphitrite seems both entranced and unamused by my laugh. The perks of being the God of Seas and ruler of sea monsters grants me a beautiful voice, one which I try to not use often due to the effects it can cause in all things sentient.
"No. Not anymore." I smile at the cute confused expression on my wife's face. How lovely. "Perseus is and will be my last demigod child."
My wife raised an eyebrow. "My Lord? I don't mean to be presumptuous…but is that even possible."
I chuckled. "Have I ever broken any of my promises to you?"
Despite being a serial cheater and oath-breaker, never once have I broken or turned back on my words to my lovely wife. "Never."
Was the immediate response, if anything she seemed offended that I even asked her that. "But what brought about this change?"
I paused and thought for a moment about the soul of the girl that tried to take over my body and the gifts she gave me. I felt obliged to tell my wife, after all our relationship was built off of trust and affection. I couldn't and wouldn't lie to her.
"A mortal girl tried to take over my body,"
My wife had an enraged look that only made her look even more beautiful in my eyes. "she failed, naturally, but she did leave behind some gifts and with that came an epiphany."
I feel back on my bed, the soft sea-like mattress sinking under my weight, I pulled my wife onto my muscular and defined chest. "Throughout the years you have stayed loyal to me, even when I opened our marriage you never took a lover, never had demigod children or even godly ones. I truly owe you an eternity by your side, and just you My Queen."
My wife was unlike my brothers Queen Consorts. Persephone has both godly and demigod children with others, while Hera constantly made the lives of children and lovers of Zeus a living nightmare. My wife didn't care about my affairs, she treated the children born out of my affairs with kindness and at worst indifference.
I hadn't truly understood or noticed how lucky I was to have taken Amphitrite as my Queen until that mortal girl had tried to take over my body and left behind her memories and gifts.
For that I am truly grateful. If I ever found her counterpart living in this world I silently vowed to myself to gift her with treasures beyond anything she could imagine. I owed her that much.
Amphitrite's eyes misted at my words and an even deeper blush covered her face. "The sea doesn't like to be restrained."
She said softly before kissing my chest. "And I would be disappointed if you lost that part of you, it's why I fell in love with you in the first place, My King."
My vow of eternal loyalty seems to have just been rejected. What a shame but Amphitrite wouldn't been Amphitrite if she didn't surprise me.
I chuckled softly as my wife sat up on my body, I could feel myself hardening at the exquisite sight of Amphitrite's perky large breasts and her trim and flat stomach.
My eyes trailed down to her heat, a small patch of dark hair and her glistening warm folds throbbed on my length. My beautiful wife truly knows how to seduce me.
Planning and plotting could wait for another day, I now have my needy wife to take care of.
Such is the curse of being the Father of Horses.
First time writing something in a long time, hope y'all enjoyed the chapter, I know I liked writing it.
I took some inspiration from Demiurge by Allen1996 (Check out the story)with the whole Essences but the rest is gonna be my own retelling of the PJO series with a far more involved, caring, loving, and playful Poseidon who isn't completely bound by the Ancient Laws. There's probably gonna be some crossover with other worlds eventually but for now LET! ME! COOK!
Also how are you guys liking the Disney+ PJO? Poseidon beat the dead beat dad allegations in just 5 minutes, surrendering to Zeus to save Percy like that made me tear up a little bit ngl, especially the convo he had with Percy at the end. I'm so hyped for season 2!
Make sure to follow, favorite and review.
Thanks for reading and see y'all in the next chapter: My Adorable Son Kills The Minotaur With His Bare Hands.
