Sarita's lightsaber cut through the Walkers, the blue blade arching through the air as she swung it. Sarita was so focused on the Walkers, she almost missed the Force screaming a warning at her. Ducking, a green blade carved through the spot her head had been. Rolling to the side, Sarita saw a four-armed droid stomping towards her.

"Hello there," Mocked the droid, venom dripping from his words, "Jedi."

Sarita raised her lightsaber, before dodging a Walker trying to bite her. Their blades clashed and parried against each other. Casting a quick glance around, Sarita saw all the men and women she'd been with lying dead on the ground. Sighing, Sarita glanced at the droid, just as one of his blades cut through her wrist.

Clementine rubbed her forehead, looking over the reports from the other settlements. Sighing at the status of some of the outposts, before looking around the office. Louis and Violet had been using it as joint leaders but had cleared it out when they surrendered it back to Clementine.

Her original lightsaber, a blue shoto blade she'd built with her mother, was lying on the desk. Clementine looked at the local map, spotting one of the crystal caves, she planned on taking AJ to get one so he could build a lightsaber.

A knock on the door jerked Clementine from her thoughts.

"Enter."

The door swung open, and a wincing Louis walked in, "Hey…"

"Hey." Clementine crossed her arms as the door swung shut, "What do you need?"

"I, er," Louis awkwardly coughed, "I wanted to talk."

"Okay." Clementine leaned against the desk, "So talk."

"I, I wanted to apologise," Started Louis, "y'know, bout the whole…coup…thing."

"Oh?" Clementine raised her eyebrows, "Are you here on your own admission, or did Violet send you?"

"Clem…" Sighed Louis, bowing his head.

"No!" Snapped Clementine, glaring at him, "Don't 'Clem' me. Don't fucking try it. You betrayed me. You had the others throw me off a fucking cliff! You had them," her voice broke, "try to kill me."

Louis swallowed, slowly approaching her.

"I loved you." Sobbed Clementine, breathing heavily, "I loved you with all my heart and you tried to have me killed."

Louis gently put his hands on her shoulders, "I, I have no excuse…I was a horrible friend a-and partner."

Clementine's words were incomprehensible as she weakly hit Louis's chest as she sobbed. Louis, acting purely on impulse, leant down and kissed her. Clementine stiffened, before Louis pulled away.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't hav-" Clementine cut him off by pulling him into another kiss. Louis deepened the kiss, gently pushing Clementine towards a bed in the corner.

Violet idly spun her lightsaber, glancing at the Clones camped towards the gates. She thought the Commander, she thought she heard Clementine call him 'Thunder', seemed like a real tight ass. He'd earned that moniker when he'd ordered Minnie's lightsaber to be confiscated.

"We've faced lightsaber wielders before." Said a Clone, making Violet jump, "You don't need to be a Jedi to know what you're thinking."

"Why did he take her lightsaber?" Asked Mitch, as the Clone removed his helmet.

"You provided the GAR with a report on everything that's happened in the thirteen years since this planet went dark," Said the Clone, "Thunder's always been…loyal to our General, he was against us being stationed here, especially since all of your tried to kill her."

Violet saw Brody flinch in her peripheral.

"And given how your friend killed her own sister, and wounded the General when she led a rescue operation." The Clone continued, "We're on our guard with you all, in case any of you present as a threat to our General."

"Why do you keep calling her that?" Asked Minnie, glancing at the clone.

"Since the start of the war, the Jedi Order were conscripted by the Galactic Senate, to serve as generals in the GAR." Answered the Clone, looking at them, "The 751st has served with her since the first Battle of Geonosis, and through her run-ins with General Grievous."

"Is that another Jedi?"

"No," Answered the Clone, "he's a cyborg that's been augmented to be capable to kill Jedi."

"Cypher!"

The Clone looked over at the other Clones, "Sir?"

"Patrol!"

"Yes, Sir!"

They watched as the Clone, Cypher, put his helmet back on and jogged over to another Clone, before leaving with one. Violet looked at her lightsaber, before attaching it to her belt.

Clementine sighed as she felt Louis's hand running up and down her bare back.

"We shouldn't have done that." Murmured Clementine, sitting up, "Ugh."

"What do you mean?" Louis sat up and looked at Clementine.

"We're Jedi." Said Clementine, "And not just that, I'm a knight and you're a Padawan, it's an abuse of power."

Louis sighed, wrapping an arm around Clementine, "I was surprised we actually did it, I was convinced you hated me."

"I never hated you." Responded Clementine, looking at him, "I couldn't bring myself to. I tried, at the start. But, I love you, it's strange. At the Great Temple, I would spend hours constantly meditating in the Room of a Thousand Fountains. And, each time, I kept seeing you and AJ, and Hope. I wanted to come back so, so many times. But, I always thought I'd be killed. And then this Force blasted war started."

Louis pulled her to him, pressing a kiss to her temple, "I cut myself off from the Force, after we caught that thief. It got so bad, I didn't notice Hope wandering off. AJ came back with her, yelling at me for neglecting her."

Clementine frowned.

"I was so busy hating myself," Sighed Louis, "thinking I ordered your murder, that I almost lost all I had left of you."

Clementine rested her head on Louis's chest, "We still have some work to do," Sighed Clementine, before she moved and straddled his hips, "but, I think we're on our way to resolving those problems." She kissed Louis, the two falling back onto the bed.

Clementine stretched, smirking as she felt Louis run a hand down her arm.

"I almost don't want to get up." Smirked Louis, as Clementine pulled her clothes on.

"Yeah," Clementine let out a short laugh, "but, I have to take AJ to get his crystal."

"And, I need to help Aasim with clearing out those Walkers in the old shed." Sighed Louis, placing a hand on Clementine's arm, "I love you, Clem."

Clementine gave him a small smile, before pressing a kiss to his lips, "I love you too. Now, get dressed, you know how pissy Aasim can get about time and deadlines."

Louis laughed, before he grabbed his clothes and started pulling them on.

Clementine let out a happy sigh, walking through the halls of the Outpost. After making sure her lightsabers were on her belt and the shoto AJ had returned to her was hidden in her prosthetic, she stepped outside.

"Company!" Yelled Thunder, "Fall in!"

The Assembled Clones all snapped to attention, going into salutes.

"At ease," Sighed Clementine, looking at Thunder, "I've already told you; you don't need to stand to attention every time I walk past."

"Right." Thunder nodded, "Sorry General."

Clementine wave him off, "What the progress on the walkers?"

"They'll be arriving some time tomorrow." Answered Thunder, "Are you sure, you don't need an escort?"

Clementine, "This something that AJ needs to do, and I'm the closest thing he has to a Master."

Thunder nodded, Clementine didn't need the Force to know he didn't like it. Sighing, Clementine looked towards the gate, spotting AJ waiting for her.

"Ready?" Asked Clementine, walking up to him.

AJ nodded, before heading out with Clementine.

Rhea sighed as she walked around the walls of Cottonfield. The Mirialan glanced at the sea of Walkers roaming past from them. It'd been thirteen years since they started walking, she'd heard that a Jedi Knight had brought the Republic to Sol, but she decided she'd believe it when she saw it.

"You okay, shorty?" Rhea looked down at Grace, the human smirking up at her.

"I'm fine." Dismissed the Jedi, going back to her thoughts. She thought Humans had it worse when it came to the Walkers, for some reason, non and near-human species didn't reanimate. The bite only killed them, she remembered her Padawan, Jack, a human boy. He'd been bitten on the neck, and she couldn't bring herself to put him down. She considered herself lucky that Cassius dealt with him.

Rhea sighed, before looking out at the distance. She frowned, before grabbing a scope on her belt. Her frown deepened at the sight of, what appeared to be, Trade Federation Battle Droids and another droid of unknown make.

"What's wrong?" Asked Grace, joining her.

Rhea handed Grace the scope, "That looks like an army."

Grace scowled, "Or an invasion force."

Clementine watched as Stealth guided a couple of AT-RTs and an AT-AP around the outpost. Violet and Marlon had been sent out to help some of her men free an AT-TE that had gotten stuck in the trees.

"I had hoped for more than five walkers." Grumbled Thunder, getting a laugh from Clementine.

"The others are probably being divided amongst the other communities." Said Clementine, looking over at the walkers, "But, I was hoping for a couple more speeder bikes."

Thunder coughed, "The other Jedi here, General, are they likely to aid us in combat?"

"I hope not." Answered Clementine, folding her arms, "Being good in training doesn't mean they'll last against Battle droids."

"What are battle droids?" Thunder jumped when AJ appeared, while Clementine smirked.

"They're like the Clones, only much, much dumber." Answered Clementine, "Kind of like-" Clementine stopped and swayed.

"What was that?" Asked AJ, as the wave of death passed over him.

"I don't know." Frowned Clementine, "Stay here."

Clementine left the pair, going into the outpost, and heading towards the communication centre.

H

Grievous carved his way through the people, his lightsabers creating a path of destruction. He gripped a Jedi by their throat, while his droids scoured the settlement.

"Why-" The Jedi choked.

Grievous broke their neck, before throwing them to the side, "Kill them all!"

Several yards away, Luke lowered his binoculars, before looking at Kenny, "How many people lived there?"

"Just under a thousand." Answered Kenny, as Cottonfield burned, "What could do this?"

Luke felt one of the Jedi that arrived with Clementine kneel next to them, Plo's goggled eyes narrowed, "Those are Separatist Battle Droids. Dooku must've sent a Super Tactical Droid to seize control of the planet."

"There were three Jedi in that settlement." Said Luke, "They can't've all died."

"Unfortunately," Said Plo, standing up, "Battle Droids have been made more…dangerous in the past few years."

H

"The loss of Cottonfield has been felt across the rest of the Coalition." Said Javi, his arms folded.

"How come we didn't detect their ships?" Asked Clementine, frowning, "Our sensors can detect engine issues on a shuttle three systems away."

"We're looking for their transports." Said Master Hawthorne, crossing her arms, "I've got some friends doing scouting missions everywhere from the Commonwealth to Ocean Side."

"We're having scouting parties head out from The Kingdom." Said Jesus, "We're going to check over the old Whisperer haunts, try our luck there."

"Marsh." Master Windu got Clementine's attention, "Your Legion is closest to Cottonfield, any attack may target you next."

"I'll take my best to meet them head on." Said Clementine, "Even if we have limited supplies."

"There's something familiar to how these droids have been advancing." Said Master Kenobi, getting a frown from Clementine, "Knight Marsh, you've had almost as many run-ins with him as I have. Do you see Grievous's hand in this?"

Clementine frowned, "Grievous wouldn't risk his safety by exposing himself to Wildfire, nor would he trap himself on a single planet. But the MO of these attacks do ring of his influence."

Obi-Wan frowned, "Clementine, Cody and I will bring the 212th as reinforcements. As a precaution in case this is Grievous."

"Master," Clementine objected, "May I suggest you and your commander protect this outpost? It'll practically be undefended while we engage the droids."

"You doubt them?" Asked Master Windu, making Clementine shake her head.

"They are capable," Admitted Clementine, "but, if my men and I are gone, they may be seen as vulnerable. And" Clementine swallowed, "and it is my duty as the…master of the Outpost to ensure the safety of the Jedi under my care."

Mace and Obi-Wan shared a look, before Obi-Wan nodded, "Very well. Cody and I will defend the Outpost, we'll probably arrive after you've left, however."

Clementine nodded, "I'll mobilise my troops. May the Force be with you, Masters."

"May the Force be with you, as well." Responded Master Windu, nodding at her, before the communication ended.

Clementine sighed, before grabbing her comm, "Thunder, prepare to mobilise our best men. There's a droid attack force we need to deal with."

"Yes, General."

Clementine sighed again, "It's just droids." She didn't believe herself, not when the Force tried to tell her otherwise.
