"That's enough of the serious talk," Brent said, getting up and preparing to leave
"Wait, Brent, honey, can you please show me your transformation again?!" The tonal whiplash from the earlier conversation would've thrown anyone else into a loop. Still, these two people were obstacles to the amnesiac Brent and mask-wearing Ai normality.
"Alright, I'll show you this going to be fantastic watch this!" Brent did the iconic hand movements. He put his left hand over his right while it rested at his waist; he then pulled his left hand from his right, stopping it from him for a second and pulling back. This action summoned his belt.
The sounds of the belt in its semi-active state mesmerized Ai. Although they sounded alien, they felt natural.
He took a deep breath, slapped both sides of his belt, and yelled the phrase "HENSHIN." After the sound was announced to the world, a blinding light enveloped the dark-skinned male.
Brent went, and Agito came into existence.
"That was awesome. I can see how you dispatched those things," she then gave the man who wasn't so much man more dragons (yes, the design motif for Agito is a dragon).'
He gave her a thumbs-up before transforming in front of her again. He really couldn't speak while he was agitated. It wasn't like he didn't have the ability to; it was just that suppressing certain parts he didn't know about required a good bit of focus.
With that out of the way, they both headed towards AI's room. They planned to sleep the night away and not get up to any 'opportunities' while on the bed for the foreseeable future.

It was shocking for the young Hoshino Aqua to find the thing that seemingly avenged him was a teenage boy who got his favorite idol pregnant; in turn, he was very conflicted.
Aqua's mind started to race, and he had a million questions about his circumstances, but one stood out to him the most: why was he reincarnated in this family in particular? Was it because of his gratitude towards the man who saved him or his dying love for Ai? Was it because he was meant for some greater purpose? He didn't know he couldn't have-
"Aqua, I changed my mind. Daddy is awesome. Did you see that he was all focused, and then there was the light? " he said, now snapped out of the downward spiral he had found himself hopelessly failing around in.
"Yeah, it was jarring." his words came out clipped and with some level of calmness he still had yet to grasp fully.
"So do you think we got those powers to we are ai's kids?!" Ruby said with pride, not genuinely grasping how horrifying those words were to someone like Aqua, who thought more deeply as the minutes passed.
"Maybe we aren't quite cut out for that hero life." His reasoning was simple: it would endanger them, especially his beloved Ai.
"Oooh, why not?" ruby asked.
"If we get powers and we have to fight monsters like Sunday morning TV, we'd be putting AI in danger." he came to a conclusion based on very little information from his point of view: there was no pattern to the killings they were at random, and it very much didn't help that the things attacked the concert causing chaos and if the story they heard earlier was true forcing their father to step up.
"Ah, give it a few years will be able to take them all on and win." Ruby was thinking about this from her limited experience with what little anime she watched before her unfortunate demise at the hands of cancer.
"Okay, what are we going to do if Brent dies before we can do anything?" aqua said turning it towards a darker subject resulting in Ruby's face scrunching up for a second before she responded/
"We do our best to protect Mama no matter what, with or without us, she'll live!" Ruby all but yelled. Those words got Aqua thinking. How old was Ruby when she passed away? It couldn't have been too old, as her childish attitude gave that away almost immediately. Maybe he shouldn't ponder such things.
"Alright, alright, I get it. We'll do our very best." He wholeheartedly agreed with the sentiment. He would always love AI until the end of the planet itself, and he would do everything in his power to protect that smile he loved so much.
"We are now the Henshin siblings!" Ruby declared as aqua sweat dropped at the cheesy choice of name.
11 months later - the park
it was a nice day out and the sun was shining brightly the children were playing and the new pair of parents were dealing with the mixed pair of 11-month-olds, Ai decided to go a little bit farther from Brent but not too far as she didn't want to risk those things coming back and trying to kill her.
"Daddy, look at the birds. Aren't they pretty?" Ruby said excitedly, pointing at the Chestnut-winged Cuckoo flying through the air. This was something that she didn't quite enjoy in her last life after she came down with her sickness.
"yeah, ruby it is the way the sounds it makes and the way it moves sometimes I wish I could be a bird I wonder what it's like in the air." these kids were geniuses Miyako and Ichigo told him that when they started to pick up sentences and writing like it was as simple as breathing.
Ai was in her usual disguise which consisted of a mask and hat with her hair tied back she was encouraging Aqua to try to at least make friends with the other kids even though they might be a little older but he was firmly sticking towards his mother.
"come on aqua at least try you never know one of these kids might become a great friend later. " she was trying her damned best to get her 11-month-old to socialize not knowing how ridiculous it looked the person who did was well right directly below her.
"Ai I don't think they'd want to play with me." aqua whispered knowing not calling her mama would lead to her going a little rant about her baby boy not calling her mama like Ruby does.
"aqua sweetie I told you to stop calling me Ai and call me Mama." ai let in a deceptively sweet tone if she wasn't an idol she'd be a great actress but setting all of that aside If Aqua could see the terrifying smile that hid under that mask he would've shuddered.
"sorry mama force of habit." he wouldn't let himself try to distract her in that way again as it seems that she reached her limit with that.

An ancient puzzle with constantly moving parts finally revealed itself to the world with its dark nature hidden deep within its now alien nature.
despite this the rest of the next 6 years were spent peacefully without a little conflict.
