Finn and Rey seem to be in deep trouble.

They are in Felucia, surrounded by bounty hunters.

However, they aren't willing to surrender. Rey uses the rebuilt Skywalker lightsaber and cuts the right hand of a mercenary, while Finn manages to find a weak point in another bounty hunter's armor and shoot there.

One bounty hunter is attacked by a man-eating plant, but effortlessly guns it down. Finn shoots at him, but he dodges at the last second and grazes him. Finn steadies his aim and his next shot strikes the heart.

Rey cleaves another hunter in two and uses the Force to deflect a blaster bolt.

However, a roar makes everyone pause.

"A jungle Rancor..."

Finn and Rey run away.

The bounty hunters, not being stupid, don't believe for a second they scared the duo. They also retreat.

The two heroes rush at full speed to the Falcon.

"Rey! Quickly, take off!"

"I can sense it coming! We don't have enough time!"

"No, no, we do have enough time!"

Finn gets in the gunning chair and Rey takes off.

But the Jungle Rancor grabs the ship and is still about to crush it.

So, Finn, knowing he has no other choice, shoots the beast in the face, making it scream in pain and let them go.

"Nice shot, Finn!"

"I owed you for the Rathars."

"Well, not anymore!"

The two jump into hyperspace.

"So, Rey, did you find what you wanted?"

"Yes. I found Aayla Secura's tomb and paid my respects."

"Good, because while I was waiting I had to shoot two man-eating plants and a lone cannibal with a spear. I vote to never visit this planet again, it's too dangerous!"

"Say what you want, I am visiting Felucia again. You have no idea how much I love green. This was the most green, wet, full of life planet I have ever seen.

Plus, I love dangers! Don't be afraid, lo... uhm, buddy!"

She barely restrained herself from getting up and pinching Finn's cheek.

"Yeah, I did save us from the Rancor, but don't think I wasn't afraid."

"If you are that afraid, then why do you keep fighting? Even when you know you are outmatched?"

"Because I mostly fear for others and not myself, Rey. For Poe, BB-8, even you...

I don't care if you are stronger than me! I will still try to protect you!"

"Finn, sometimes, you are the one who needs protection."

"I don't care. All my life, I learned I was expendable. I failed to protect you on Starkiller."

"No, Finn. Y... you d... didn't."

Finn could feel something, something nasty creeping inside her mind and keeping her from speaking.

But Rey stops it. "Yes, you lost, but you brought Chewbacca who wounded Kylo's ribs. And without you I would have no lightsaber and be against Kylo with a good arm. I won thanks to you, Finn. You did save me.

That's why I thanked you for everything and kissed your forehead, Finn. You deserved it."

"Awww, thank you, Rey. So, what should we do now?"

"Just travel... and watch the stars."

As they do so, Rey mentions something else.

"Finn, I had a nightmare recently. I was restrained, and Kylo tried to probe my mind like he did with Poe. However... I didn't win this time. He entered my mind, and then he... it was awful."

Finn hugs her. "I know you need a hug, Rey."

He could not avoid comforting this woman with the charming hazel eyes, and those beautiful hair, and...

"Rey... I know it was awful, but it wasn't real. You won in reality."

"Still, I thought I was there. It felt real."

"You are not with him anymore. You closed the door on him, remember?"

Rey stares at Finn's eyes.

She barely holds herself from crying.

"Finn... I feel alone sometimes."

"You shouldn't. Kylo is nothing but a liar. Really, the next time he tells you he is honest, remember he says you are only important because of him and nobody else, that nobody but him cares about you.

You have Poe, Chewbacca, General Leia, BB-8, R2-D2, Luke..."

"How do you know?"

"Uhm... I... uh, forgot he died and became one with the Force."

Rey saw his blushing face and was tempted to give the cute boy a tight, tight hug.

"... and of course, there is me. You are loved, Rey, and you are not nothing."

The two reach twin stars. One is orbiting the other like a planet.

"Finn, care to hear a story about these stars in the sacred Jedi texts?"

Finn jumped in joy like a little kid. "Yes! Yes! I love your stories!"

"According to the texts, these stars were once people. The big one was a girl. She was arrogant, but her heart was in the right place.

The other was a very kind boy who could get any girl he wanted with the way he treated them. A true knight, willing to take on creatures even beyond him to defend the innocent people.

But the girl did not want him. She was easily swayed by things that looked significant, and were empty inside. That's why the big star is stuck at nothing, and the small star is orbiting around her. Hoping to one day win her heart, though he will always be hopeless."

Finn sheds a tear. "I feel horrible for both of them. The girl was probably manipulated, and the boy... the boy really needs a hug."

"You look worried about something. Is anything wrong?"

"N... nothing. Nothing is wrong."

The two go to another star, a bright blue one.

"Rey... did you know the blue stars are the hottest?"

"Not while I was on Jakku. I always thought the red ones were the hottest. Well, when you are stuck in one of the least advanced planets and red is associated with heat, can you blame me?"

"No. Not at all."

"I wonder, how do you know so many languages stuck in one place?"

"Clients. Lots of clients."

"Even Wookies?"

"Uh... uhm... yeah."

"Can you teach me? Poor communication with Chewbacca could kill us both!"

"No. I can't. I... can actually read minds with the Force. Still haven't perfected it, and can read only those who don't want to hide a thing, and that's how I understand Chewbacca. Wookies always avoid Jakku because they have a thick fur not made for such heat."

"Why did you hide it?"

"Why did you hide your past?"

"Because I was ashamed of it."

"You shouldn't be. You were forced into evil and still rejected it. You should be proud of yourself."

"Now, why did you hide this?"

"Because I... on Jakku, you must give a fake impression of being perfect. I wanted to pretend I am perfect at everything, did great efforts to actually be. But I still couldn't. I might be the Chosen One, and have people see me as inspiration. I can't be fallible."

"Nobody is perfect, Rey. You are flawed, fallible, just like me and everyone else. And I am aware of some of your faults. But this doesn't stop me from being by your side. And I will always be."

The two embrace again.

And Rey feels something she never felt with Kylo Ren. Safe. Appreciated. Loved.

Finn couldn't help but have the same feelings.
