Take thy Hand
"Okay…spell practice…what spell shall I-ooh this looks fun. Offensive magic!" Yuki said to herself as she browsed one of the spell books she had borrowed from the library. She was alone in her room in Cocytus Hall. No demon brother to visit and bother her and not even the usual phone call asking her how she's the book with golden sequences, she found a basic spell she had never seen before. The word "time" was written and the rest of the information is all a blur. Even so, Yuki's curiosity has piqued. Maybe this spell can bring her back in time, to the present time where she's just a regular student living at the House of Lamentation.
"As flames reduce even stars to ash,
As ice seals away even time itself,
As Great trees swallow the sky…
Fear not the power of darkness.
Now demonstrate thy power…"
She muttered those words as she lazily skimmed the page with her eyes. As she finished the incantation, she heard a deep mysterious voice and the desk mirror beside her glowed reflecting green smoke.
"To me, to them and to yourself,
The hour grows long and time is scarce…
Keep steady no matter what happens."
Yuki suddenly felt dizzy as she gazed at the swirling flame reflecting the mirror, she could even see a hand reaching out for her. She couldn't do anything as her eyes slowly dropped and her body froze in place. She felt drowsy.
"How can that be? I just read the spell… How can…no…stay…away…"
Yuki's vision turned black.
PROLOGUE 02:
Grim the Weasel Sorcerer
It didn't feel that long but Yuki suddenly heard shuffling. Yuki's eyes slowly opened as she heard a squeaky voice. The voice was muffled and everything was dark. She couldn't see anything.
"I can't barely lift the thing-Myah! Take that!"
Yuki suddenly felt hot as she smelled burning wood so close. She let out a scream. "F-fire!" She quickly pushed forward and right before her eyes, she met gaze with a pair of sharp blue round eyes. It was a gray weasel with blue flames for ears.
"Myahhh! You ain't supposed to be awake!" The weasel shouted in frustration.
Yuki suddenly sat up and found herself in a black coffin as the flames suddenly faded. "Huh…didn't expect a talking weasel here-oooh! Floating coffins! Is there some kind of event?" Her eyes watched the other closed coffins as she slowly went out of the coffin. "Ah…maybe there's an event going on…" She was a bit sad that no one told her about it but she didn't mind, she likes surprises. Floating coffins and the scary supernaturals is natural in the Devildom after all.
"How dare you! I'm not a weasel! I'm Grim! Sorcerer extraordinaire!" The gray weasel shouted.
"Huh? What?" Yuki was preoccupied but she heard the feline. "Ah..sorry, a cat then. Satan probably made you talk right?"
"What? I mean, Whatever, human! Just give me your clothes and be quick about it!" The talking cat named Grim commanded and Yuki just blinked.
Yuki blinked as she squinted her eyes thinking if she heard the feline right… "Oh…Mammon! Did Satan perhaps turn you into a cat? What did you do this time?" She asked, poking Grim on its chubby cheeks.
Yeah, asking something like giving up her clothes is something Mammon will say. Naming himself as the Devildom Currency, Grimm is something Mammon can come up with in a roleplay event.
"I'm Grim dammit! Are you deaf human? Don't ignore me and give me your uniform!" Grim said annoyed but smirked, showing off his little fangs. "Huh? Wait a minute…that's not the uniform-whatever! Just gimme!" Grim raised his hand and a wall of fire emerged behind him but Yuki wasn't fazed at all.
"C'mon and gimme!"
PROLOGUE 03:
The Exchange Student
Balls of fire began to shoot down Yuki's feet as she began to tap dance while she dodged. After that, she found herself running around to who knows where with Grim chasing after her, shooting more fireballs. She reached for her pockets but found nothing useful to throw to the creature. "Will you just stop following me!" Yuki shouted as she pushed the door open, taking a glance at the floating books around the room. There's no time to look at them books though since Grim had her cornered.
"No matter what your clothes are-Myah!" Grim suddenly screeched as he was hit by a whip and magically had a leash on. "THAT HURTS WHAT GIVES!"
A man in a crow mask emerged in front of Yuki holding a long black whip. One thing that goes on Yuki's mind is Lucifer, he was always punishing Mammon for stuff like this anyway. "Call it tough love." the man in a crow mask said. His voice is kind of sophisticated in comparison to Lucifer's who has much a much deeper pitch. Maybe it's not him so Yuki stayed silent.
"Ah, I found you at last, You must be one of the new students this year right?" The man continued and looked at Grim. "You even brought a poorly trained familiar. That is a school violation, young miss."
"I ain't serving a lowly human-Mmmmphhh!" The man covered Grim's mouth and it remained zipped. Yuki wanted to say something but couldn't join in the conversation. Her mind suddenly wandered at the time Mammon said the exact same words during their first meeting when Lucifer asked him to help her adjust.
"My my.. You only not just brought in a familiar and out of your gate but you also wore a different set of uniform. I would say…I've never seen one before." The man said. "With these much violations, I may have expelled you immediately."
Yuki was wearing her RAD uniform. Green undershirt with a purple ribbon and the usual leather-made long coat and red cape on the side. "I'm actually a student from the Devildom sir.."
"Devildom? Where's that?" The man asked.
"At hell sir." Yuki said confidently.
"Oh…I didn't know the Underworld had a school." The man said, rubbing his chin in wonder, looking at Yuki with interest just for a second before pushing her on the back out of the library. Yuki tried to resist from being pushed out of her free will as the man talked more and more about the school and his name.
Yuki learned his name is Dire Crowley, the acting headmage of the prestigious all-boys school Night Raven College for talented magic users and sorcerers. She learned she was going to Orientation but that's not what she's concerned about. Why was she even here?
"This is a boy's school then why am I here?" Yuki asked as she was still being pushed, her heels being dragged along.
"Ah…I do wonder for a moment…but you are indeed a girl or a boy blessed with feminine features I supposed." Crowley said as he let out a laugh. Crowley's not wrong but Yuki just sighed heavily, crossing her arms. It's not like her dark black hair is long enough or her short height of 5 feet and small stature is to be considered a man's. Heck, she swears even her figure had a bit of a curve. She's even wearing a skirt and headband for goodness sake.
"Well no matter…I think this will be the start of something new. One silly misunderstanding doesn't hurt." Crowley said playfully with a laugh. "After all, you must have an aptitude in magic to be able to admit here."
Yuki flinched and smiled. "I'm actually in practice under a mentor." she said letting out light chuckle thinking over Solomon and Satan but frowned as the thought came to her Diavolo sent her in another magical school because she's not useful to RAD? No...that can't possibly be...they have such deep friendship to just cast aside? Diavolo might be strict but he has some , she doubts the brothers and even the angels is against her transferring.
"You seem to be lost in thought lass...no matter, welcome to Night Raven College!" Crowley said as the doors burst wide open.
