Chapter 3
2 years later
"These new weapons are amazing. Adventures will love them and this will bring more money to Tempest." Kajin said with a large smile on his face.
"These are amazing." Rimuru said with a smile. "I may get some made for me. They're so cool."
He swung a sword back and forth listening to the swish of the blade.
"Your right, my lord." Shion said agreeing with him while looking at the throwing stars in her hands.
"I may buy one of these weapons." Benimaru said with a smirkwhile holding a dagger in his hands.
Kajin laughed, "Kurobi is always coming up with new ideas on weapons to sell."
Kurobi smiled "thank you, my lord."
They all glanced up as the door opened and Amara walked in.
All their eyes widened to see how pale the woman was. She had bags under her eyes and looked shaken.
Shuna rushed over.
"Amara, you look terrible." Shuna said.
The woman's eyes widened in shock at seeing them all there.
"My lord, I didn't realize you were here. I'm so sorry." Amara said with a bow of her head.
"It's ok, Amara. Are you sick? Your white like a ghost." Rimuru said in shock.
"I'm fine. I will come back later." Amara said as she turned to go.
She took two steps and suddenly started to fall. Benimaru jumped forward catching her.
"Oh my. Bring her to the back. We have a couch back there." Kijin said with a frown moving to the back.
Before Benimaru could do anything, Kurobi took her in his arms and carried her to the back laying her on the couch.
The rest followed.
Kijin set a bowl of water down on the side table with a rag in the water. Kurobi took the rag running it over Amara's face and neck.
A moan was heard as Amara slowly opened her eyes.
"Kurobi?" Amara said in confusion. "What happened?"
Rimuru frowned "you fainted. Shuna, can you make sure she is not sick? We don't want a pandemic if something has started."
"Of course, my lord" she said with a smile.
Amara's eyes widened and she quickly sat up. "No... wait..."
It was too late as Shuna's magic covered Amara's body. The others watched in shock as she took a step back gasping.
"You're pregnant." Shuna said in shock.
Amara burst into tears and covered her face. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Shuna ran forward and wrapped her arms around the sobbing woman and tried comforting her with soothing words.
"Who could be the father?" Shion asked.
Rimuru frowned. "The only humans who have been here were in Fuze's party. We will need to send a messenger to him to have the father return. Soei?"
"My lord?" Said the man as he appeared.
"Soei, I need an emergency message sent to Fuze..." Rimuru started to relay orders.
"NO... WAIT" Amara said pulling away from Shuna. "The father...he is...he..."
She visibly deflated as she spiraled in despair.
"What is it?" Shion asked. "Did he abandon you because you are pregnant? That jerk."
Tears ran down Amara's face as she said lowly, "he's not human."
Everyone's eyes widened in shock.
"Not human...so he's a monster?" Rimuru said in shock.
Amara nodded, "We didn't think a child could be created because of our different races. It's never been documented before. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Amara covered her face in shame.
The others in the room looked at each other in confusion. They had no idea something like this could even happen.
"Does he know?" Rimuru asked quietly. "Does he know he is a father?"
Everyone's eyes widened in shock when kurobi suddenly pulled Amara into his arms.
"Everything will be fine, Amara. I promise." Kurobi said while kissing her on the head with a faraway look on his face.
"Kurobi, what are you doing?" Shion asked in confusion.
Everyone was watching as different emotions crossed his face.
"Everything happens for a reason. This is a blessing." Kurobi said with a soft look at the human woman running his hand up and down her back.
"But the baby?" Amara said pulling back to look at him.
Kurobi smiled, "Shuna is an amazing healer. She will be able to monitor the pregnancy and our child will be fine."
'His child? Kurobi is the father?' Everyone thought.
"Kurobi is the father of Amara's baby?" Benimaru said in shock.
"Apparently so." Shuna said watching the two with a smile forming.
The two lovers didn't pay attention to the others in the room.
Amara frowned. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. I didn't think this could happen. We never even talked about this being a possibility or if you even want children."
Kurobi wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"I'm not. I'm glad this happened. The kids will be excited about having a new sibling." Kurobi said as he pulled a box out of his pocket. "I made them swear to keep the secret when I asked if it was ok to ask you and I had other plans for this but this changes everything."
Kurobi opened the box to showing two rings. The first was a beautiful design of silver metal with flowers etched around the band. In the center of each etched flower was a tiny blue gem for the center. It was so beautiful. The second was a silver ring with a flower piece on the top of the ring with a blue glowing gem in the center.
"Marry me, Amara. Be my wife and raise a family with me. Let me be a father to your children. I will never replace their human father but I can be there to support them and you. Will you marry me?" Kurobi asked.
Tears filled Amara's eyes as a smile appeared on her face.
"Yes. A thousand times yes."
Kurobi pulled the woman forward kissing her.
Behind them, the others stared in shock.
Kijin laughed. "I knew he seemed happier but never guessed this."
"Kurobi and Amara? How did we not know this?" Shion asked before turning to Soei. "Did you know about this?"
"No." He said watching his friend with a smile. "I've seen them talking a lot but did not know they were in a relationship. They hid it very well. It seems I will need to up my observation skills."
"I think it's romantic." Shuna said with a huge smile as Kurobi pulled the first ring out and slipped it on her finger.
He turned to the group with a huge smile.
"My lord. Kijin. may I be excused? We need to speak to the kids about this new development. " Kurobi said with a huge smile.
Rimuru walked over placing a hand on both of their shoulders. "Absolutely. Congratulations both of you. I hope you are very happy. You will also have our full support. "
"Thank you, my lord. Moving here has been the best decision I made for my family." Amara said with a huge smile.
"Now no heavy lifting and drink plenty of water. I want to see you every third day to monitor the pregnancy. Kurobi, you need to keep a close eye on her as this is a new thing. I will make sure Amara gets help at work since she is pregnant." Shuna said with a smile.
Kurobi smirked "as you wish. I will make sure she gets plenty of rest."
He helped Amara up and they disappeared out the door holding hands. They ignored the citizens who stared in shock.
Kijin laughed. "That explains the rings he wanted to craft."
"Oh dear." Shuna said with a frown. "I'm going to need medical books about human pregnancy to take care of Amara and her baby. I wonder if she will go through pregnancy symptoms like our women or hers? Maybe it will be both? We do get stronger when pregnant but I heard rumors that their women have something called morning sickness. "
Everyone stared at each other in shock. All thinking about pregnancies they knew and the affects. It caused all to become horrified of the side effects.
Rimuru waved his hand and a portal opened.
"Let's go. We need books now."
Rimuru scooped up Shuna and the disappear into the portal. It was going to be interesting.
7 months later
Rimuru, Shion, Soei, Hakuro, and Benimaru walked up to Kurobi and Amara's house. Knocking at the door, Shuna opened it with a smile.
"Come in and see the new members of tempest federation. Mama is doing fine and resting. Dad really helped her get through labor. " Shuna said with a huge smile.
The group walked in to see Amara and Kurobi each holding a baby. Josiah was standing by Kurobi holding the baby's hand telling the baby how he was going to help train him to be a warrior. Azariah was on one side of Amara while Grace was on the other admiring their sister who was sleeping.
"You had twins?" Shion said in excitement.
"Sure did. Meet my son, Kuroba and his little sister Amira." KUROBI SAID with a huge smile and tears in his eyes. "See our beautiful babies. "
The twins each had horns on their heads with Kuroba having light blue horns and Amira having pale purple horns.
Rimuru walked over and admired the babies. "Welcome to your new home, Kuroba and Amira. Welcome to Tempest Federation. "
