4"Talk"
'Thought'
"God damn it Morrison, I swear to God if this job is a bust, I will be pissed."
Near the small lake, or large pond, at the center of a forest, a young man could be seen walking around, specifically around her late teens, maybe around 18 more or less, he wore baggy pants, boots, a large red jacket coat with no shirt, a silver necklace with a red gem, and had a large sword, called "Rebellion", with two powerful pistols, known as "Ivory" and "Ebony", this Man In Red Devil Hunter was known as Dante, and he was currently on a mission.
"I don't sense, or smell, any demonic energy, hm."
Though at the moment, Dante was left in total confusion, if not a little annoyed, as he walked around the area, trying to find anything that could be related, or at least give him some kind of hints of where a demon could be at… That was until he looked at the water.
"Ugh, well, whatever, a little swim never hurt anyone I guess."
This made Dante sigh in annoyance, but knew he couldn't ignore the possibility, so with little choice in the matter, he jumped into the water and swim deep within.
'A coffin?'
Thankfully Dante didn't jump in the water for nothing, as after a bit of swimming and looking around, he found something that definitely caught his attention and might lead him somewhere, that being a large coffin.
"Well, it's not demonic, but it does feel similar."
After Dante found the coffin, and making sure there wasn't anything else he missed, he pulled it out of the water and brought it back to land, which he then set down and took a closer look at it.
"Well, I might as well look inside and see what I'm working with, maybe I'll find some valuable treasure to sell."
Dante did sense something supernatural, however he still wasn't sure if it was related to his Demon Hunting job, but he still decided to keep investigating and just open to coffin, at worse, he was unleashing a demon that he would have to fight, at best, he would find something very valuable and worth the trip.
"... A beautiful woman also works…"
But what Dante found instead was a beautiful naked Amazonian woman, with the only thing that covered her "Privates" was her ridiculous long hair, it was very obvious be wasn't expecting to find such a thing, quickly he checked to see if she was alive, like seeing if she was breathing, her heart beating or had a pulse.
"Hm, still alive, just unconscious, that's good."
Much to Dante's relief, glad to know that she wasn't dead, though now he was a bit lost on what he should do now, specifically on how he should handle dealing with this unconscious woman.
'Damn, this girl needs a crazy haircut.'
Dante rubs his chin as he tries to think of what he should do next in this situation, all while he couldn't help but admire the strange yet beautiful woman.
'Oh? And what's this?'
Though before Dante could continue admiring the woman, he immediately noticed something that caught his attention.
'A bayonet?'
Specifically what Dante saw was a blade that was stabbed into the woman's body, probably a small bayonet from the looks of it, not only that, the more he focused his senses on the weapon, he was able to notice a strange power coming from it.
'So this is where the power is coming from-'
Dante reached out a hand to grab the blade and pulled it out of the woman, however, as soon as he did this, the woman suddenly went eyes wide and immediately punched the Man in Red in the face and sent him flying back quite a bit.
"W-Well, that's one way to wake up someone…"
Dante was definitely surprised by this as he then sit back up after processing what just happened, which was getting punched so hard by the naked woman that his jaw completely broke, though he was able to snap it back in place.
"W-Who are you? Where am I?"
The Devil Hunter then heard the woman speak, as he looked and saw her getting out of her coffin and standing up, clearly very confused and startled by everything that was going on, having no understanding of anything.
"Who… Who am I?..."
The woman didn't even understand or remember who she was, and the Man in Red was able to tell that she wasn't lying, clearly, if his instincts and experience had anything to say about it.
'Clearly someone not normal, judging by that suckered punch, as well as healing from the stab wound.'
Dante sighs softly, as he knew had his work cut out for him, as he now had to deal with someone that he just couldn't ignore.
"Look, just calm down, I'm not here to hurt you."
Dante did his best to calm and reassure the woman that she wasn't in any kind of danger, well, at least he knew he wasn't gonna hurt her.
"H-How did I get here?"
The woman was still confused and somewhat scared about everything, including the Devil Hunter before her, the big sword and guns didn't really help with her nervousness, though she wasn't really given many options on who she could trust at the moment.
"All I know is that I found you in the water, trapped in a coffin, and pulled out a bayonet from your body, which kept you asleep until now, I think."
Dante tries to explain the entire situation as best as he could, and in a way that the woman could understand, as well as being honest with her about what was going on and how much he knew about it, which wasn't a lot in all honesty.
"I-I see…"
The woman wasn't really sure what to say, let alone what to do next, she was lost, confused and scared, stuck with a Man in Red who couldn't answer any of her questions, not that she was blaming him for anything, but in her state of being, he wasn't really helping her ease her mind with all these conflicting and unsure thoughts.
"Look, how about you come with me and I'll take you somewhere that might give you answers that you're looking for, I'll even treat you to some strawberry sundaes and pizza, how does that sound to you?"
Dante clearly feels bad for the woman, and truly wanted to help her with her situation, or at least, do something that would help her feel better about herself, like offering some sweet treats and Italian dishes, and probably some clothes, a problem he temporarily solved by giving her his coat.
"... A-Alright…"
She just simply his help, again not really given much of a choice, however at least now she could trust him, if only little bit, I mean, he did cover her nude body with his coat, and has yet to do anything malicious towards her, so at the very least she knows she was with someone who wouldn't actively harm her.
'God, I can't wait to see Morrison's reaction when he meets this lady.'
And with that, both Dante and his new Amazonian friend started to walk away from the area and hopefully find civilization, both to find some help for the confused woman, as well as to talk to Morrison about the situation he was in and how he should handle it, however, before either of them could even consider what they should do next, both stopped in their tracks and immediately sense something, "Holy?", this completely confused the Devil Hunter, as this was the first time sensing something that wasn't demonic, though as for the woman, as soon as she felt such a thing, without hesitation, and almost instinctively, she immediately grabbed both Ebony and Ivory away from the Man in Red and started shooting around the area.
"Hey! What Are You-"
Before Dante could stop the woman and demand what she was doing, as well as hopefully take back his guns, he was immediately cut off when he felt something piercing his back and chest, spraying blood everywhere.
"N-NO!"
The woman gasps in horror when she saw the Devil Hunter get stabbed, which said man turn his head and look towards the person who was responsible for this, at a first glance, he saw nothing, but the more he focused his eyes, which flash with unknown "Power", he was able to see who was responsible for his injuries, that being some kind of Holy and Heavenly creature known as AFFINITY.
"Ah, now I understand~"
Usually any normal people who have been impaled would be expressing fear and worry, but Dante wasn't any kind of normal, as he pushed the weapon out his body with enough force that it pierced the AFFINITY using it.
"Never thought I would need to fight some Angels, but I guess there's a first for everything~"
Before the AFFINITY could even have a chance to process what just happened, Dante used his large sword Rebellion to cut the AFFINITY into two, killing it nearly instantly, which left a certain woman shock, not only for killing a AFFINITY, but was somehow still alived despited getting stabbed in the back.
"H-How are you-"
Though the woman wasn't really given a chance, as she was suddenly forced to dodge from the Man in Red strike, which wasn't aimed at her, but at the AFFINITY behind her, which he stabbed through the chest.
"Let's save the questions for later~"
Dante pulled back his Rebellion and stood next to the woman, who wanted to say something, but couldn't when she noticed that they were suddenly surrounded by more AFFINITY, which made her hold and aim both Ebony and Ivory at them.
"For now, let's dance~"
As soon as Dante said this, all of the AFFINITY charged forward, with the intentions of killing them both without hesitation, forcing the two to fight back in response, and fighting in their own special way, with the Man in Red, he had his large sword Rebellion, and despite the size and weight, was able swing it all around with both speed and style, any AFFINITY that locked blades with him were only met with a slash that cut them into two parts, and as for the woman, who still had Ebony and Ivory, aka the Devil Hunter's guns, and despite her being someone who just recently woke up from unconsciousness and suffering some kind of amnesia, the way she wield the two pistols, could almost be considered beautiful, as if she was dancing, dodging and avoiding any AFFINITY that attempted to kill her, before receiving a bullet to the head in retaliation, even as someone who didn't know what was going on, she clearly knew how to deal someone who was considered a threat, both were considered a mystery, but one thing was for certain, they were not someone to be fucked with, evidenced being one of the AFFINITY getting stabbed by Rebellion, before getting double head shot by both Ivory and Ebony.
"Heh, Jackpot~..."
Dante wore a satisfied smirk as he pulled away his sword, wiped the blood off the blade and just lay his Rebellion over his shoulder.
"... Who are you?..."
The woman, once realizing that they were no longer in danger, decides to hand back the guns she borrowed and return them to their rightful owner, all the while questioning who this Man in Red actually is.
"I could ask you the same thing."
A question that was shared by Dante and aimed back at the woman, as he takes back his Ebony and Ivory and puts them back in their holsters.
"The name's Dante, and I hunt Demons for a living."
Though Dante still decided it was time to introduce himself to the woman.
"Dante…"
For some reason, despite getting his name, the woman couldn't help but feel like he was hiding things from her, though for now, decided not to really question it.
"You said you don't remember your name, right?"
Dante still decided to change the subject, as he was curious and made sure that the woman truly couldn't remember her name.
"U-Unfortunately I don't…"
Which was still true, much to the woman's depressing sigh.
"Well, I can't exactly call you Woman, though Lady does sound fitting, but that feels like that's someone else I know."
Dante hums as he scratches his head, refusing to just call the woman as just, well, "Woman", so he decided it was up to him to give her a name, at least something to call her for the time being they were together and until she could regain her memories, though as he was trying to think of a fitting name that sounded appropriate, he turn his attention back at the coffin and noticed a certain bayonet that was used to make the woman unconscious, as well as possibly being the reason for amnesia.
"Hey, how about Bayonetta?"
I feel like it's the most obvious story to do, yet no one has done it yet, so I decided to take it upon myself to make it, so yeah, here you go.
