No POV Mel awoke that morning early around 5 am, because of her morning sickness. She rushed to the priory not thinking of waking Danric in the process in which it did.
Danric POV
I opened his eyes while feeling the spot next to him to see if Mel was there. That's strange I thought sitting up and then I heard. My wife of course was pregnant. So, of course she would get morning sickness. I rushed to her side, holding her hair back and rubbing her back. It seemed as though she emptied out all of the food she had eaten last night. I mumbled calming words into her ear will she was throwing up. After about of 3 minutes of that, she was done.
"Thank you Vidanric," she said whipping her mouth.
"Here let me get you a glass of water to wash your mouth with," I said, "You just get back in bed. OK?"
"Yes," she said tiredly. I helped her back into bed and kissed her forehead and went to get changed into just breeches, a shirt, and boots. The only people who would see me was servants and cooks, no one important so what was the point of dressing up. I went to the kitchens and got a big glass of hot water, because in my room I'd put some herbs in it to help settle Mel's stomach and I got some bread for her to eat. I returned to our room and went to go get my settling herbs and put it in the cup. I then went to go get a tray to put the cup and bread on and walked into our room. I went to go wake her. In reply I got a, "NoooSleeeeeeeeeeepppppppppp." But I was persist and woke her with a gentle kiss.
"Mel, you need to drink all of this," I said sweetly, "OK?"
"Why?" She asked well mumbled.
"Because it's going to help your stomach so you can eat this bread."
"Food?" She asked. Obviously she wasn't fully awake.
"Yes good food," I said.
She sat up and sipped the herb tea while I talked to her about things. One of them was how we were going to tell the public about her being pregnant.
"We'll have to send a letter to my parents, Nee and Bran and we can tell Savona today and Tamara when she gets back from her trip in Charmadis. Agreed?" I asked.
"Argeed."
