Little One

By Juubi Karakuchi

Little one,

Your tears do flow,

Your gentle soul,

So full of woe.

Silent is your grieving,

For the ones you love,

Beautiful is your countenance,

An Eagle and a Dove.

Do you know my longing,

Oh little heart divine?

Do you know the suffering,

That rends this heart of mine?

Forgive these arms that long for you,

Forgive me, if I dare,

To feel your breath upon my cheek,

And kiss your silken hair.

Touch you I shall not my son,

This cannot yet be,

Yours forever is my love,

Someday you will see.
