Author's Note: Okay, folks. My first attempt at writing anything that isn't random humor. Review. You should. Cause you'd be my best friend. And I would buy you a boat. Everybody loves a good boat.

Disclaim: Where is Disclaimer Man when I need him? Probably in Prague again. I can just never count on him.

"Hermione?" Ron asked. She didn't acknowledge that he said anything; she just sat next to him, shaking with silent tears. Ron's own eyes had started to get a little watery.

"Hermione?" he asked again. Still no response.

"Hermione?" he said for a third time, now sounding more forceful as he turned Hermione to face him.

The face that greeted him was one of despair; Ron figured his own face was filled with the same expression. She started sobbing as Ron put his arms around her. It didn't feel awkward to be this close to Hermione, it felt right, more right than he had ever felt. "Will it ever be okay again?" she asked while he stroked her hair.

Ron didn't need to ask what she meant, he knew. "Sure it will. Everything will end up great. Harry and Ginny will probably end up married," he gave a slight chuckle at his remark. "You'll become the Headmistress of Hogwarts, Fred and George will get even richer and still make me pay whenever I want any of their stuff, and everyone will just be happy."

Hermione sat up a little to look at him; she had an anxious expression on her face. "Do you really think I could become Headmistress?"

Ron smiled. "I think you can do anything you want to. And a career as Headmistress suits you well."

"Thanks, Ron. You're a great friend." Hermione had started crying again and Ron reached up to wipe a tear off with his thumb. He left his hand cupped around her face as he leaned in. Their lips met for only a second but it was the best thing either of them had ever experienced.

Hermione leaned out to look Ron in the eye. "What was that?"

"That was you and me kissing," he said, his face turning a bright red.

"I liked it."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

Ron pulled Hermione towards him again, this time for a deeper kiss.

Annie Note: That was crap. It was, wasn't it? I should stick to the writing of nothingness.
