There is a reason as to why she dreams of such a promising future. She does not know why, but Usagi thinks she does.
Usagi knows that Rei is bound to her through fate; Rei's life is dedicated only to serve and protect Usagi. It is not an easy task, so Rei must give up some things to ease the burden on herself. She must give up on her search for a soulmate and limit her interaction with society. And to compensate for the losses, Rei dreams about a bright future that promises to return everything she abandoned in order to insure the happiness of her friend. Usagi thinks this is false hope but, what she doesn't know is that it is Rei's only escape from the chains of duty.
