I own nothing.

Elliot knew her like he knew himself. He knew that her favorite color was sea green, that secretly she loved chick flicks 'Legally Blond' was her favorite. She loved tuna with ketchup. When she was tired she would put her hair in to a high ponytail. When she was nervous about something she would take the ring she wore on her right hand off and play with it. Elliot knew that her shopping day was Thursday. She liked two different kinds of coffee, black, two sugars, one cream for the morning and black, one sugar and a thing of half and half for the afternoon. He knew that if she ever had a child she would name it Lily or Matt. She was scared of horses and never learned how to ride a bike. Her favorite show to watch when she was sad or just wanted to laugh after a hard day at work was Friends. She hated reality shows she thought they were a waste of time to watch. He knew that when she felt like drinking she would bring out a folder with pictures the C.S had taken of her when she went into foster care, she would look at the bruises and pain her alcoholic mother had caused her.

He knew her like he knew himself so when they lowered that casket into the ground a part of him was buried with it. He stood up as the preacher spoke, silent tears streaming down his face. When he was called up to give a speech this is what he said.

"Olivia Benson was a partner, a friend, and a daughter. She was the kindest person you would ever meet, I remember one time I invited her to dinner with me and my family; this was just a month after she became my partner. And for dinner we had hamburgers, I remember she had two; once dinner was done and I was driving her home she turned to me and said. 'You, know I'm vegetarian.' "Elliot gave out a small sad laugh, then he started again. "She loved to help the victims, her job was part of her, and we all know that not many people want to work with sex crimes but for seven years she did. And standing here today telling you all this is braking my heart because Olivia Benson was the love of my life, she knew me like no one ever had. She knew just the way to claim my nerves when a perp stepped over that line. She has saved my life to many times to count and for that I am thankful. I will always love her."

Elliot stepped down tears covering his face.

After the service Elliot walked up to Olivia's casket a laid upon it a gold ring with a single diamond. Inside was a note.

Soon Olivia you will be my wife I will love you always, the ring was my mothers and she told me to give it to someone special and now I am. You will always be in my heart and I hope I'm in yours.

Love always, El.
