A short one-shot.
He didn't know how it started.
One minute he was eating his ramen and the next thing he knew, there was no way out.
Inuyasha glared into the brown orbs of his opponent.
He knew he could not win this battle.
The end was coming.
He chanced a glance at his friends standing a little while off to the side.
They couldn't help him.
Nobody could.
Except, maybe, Kagome.
His eyes focused on her, but he knew his doom had come.
The eyes of his new enemy confirmed his suspicion when they narrowed ever so slightly.
His ears slumped slightly in acceptance.
If he was going down, then at least he would go down a demon.
He squared his shoulders and fixed his eyes on his opponent.
A mental countdown started in his head leading to his demise.

Kagome took a deep breath and Sango, Miroku, and Shippo turned away, not wanting to see what was about to happen to their friend.
