RECOVERY OF AN ALCHEMIST
Me: wow, can you beleve this was a homework assignment. Yes this was a homework assignment and I don't own Fullmetal Alchemist in any way. They all belong to Hiromu Arakawa-sensei herself. On with the story!
-Edward Elric woke up in a hospital bed. He was covered with wounds, recuperating wounds. He had done it again. He was dragged into a fight and was knocked out. It's was lucky that Alphonse dragged him out before he got any more serious injuries. He was so close to the Philosopher's Stone too. If the others haven't of brandished they're weapon, he would of gotten the secret of the Stone, not a battle. "Well, I might as well stop lingering here." Ed thought as he tried to get up, but he couldn't even feel his nerves. "Great, Winry's going to be happy," referring to his long-time friend/auto-mail mechanic. Al, who just walked in the room Ed was in, broke his train of thought "Hi, Brother, How are you feeling?" "Fine. Thanks, Al" "No problem, Brother. The people thought you were dead so they almost put a sewed a shroud around you and put you in a coffin. It's a good thing that you're wounds are healing. After Winry's done with your arm and leg, you'll be out. Oh! That reminds me. I called Winry for you. She should be coming soon." "Great, now my injuries are going to be less relent," Edward grumbled. "Come on Brother, she's not always like that" Alphonse responded. "Yeah, when she's not doing anything scurrilous" Ed muttered. "Well, I better get going. See you later, Brother." "Bye Al" When Al left, Edward thought about Winry. "So, she's coming" Ed thought. Edward was always vigilant around Winry. Mostly because of Winry hitting him in the head when he come and his auto-mail was busted. But she always worked so hard on his auto-mail and he hasn't really done anything nice for her in years. Footsteps disrupted his train of thought. Winry had come. At first, she frowned at him sternly, like 1st Lieutenant Hawkeye when her dog, Black Hayate, did something wrong. "What? If you're going to hit me, then do it now." Then she laughed "Oh, Edward. I'm not going to hit you, but why do you do this to your auto-mail?" She than got ready to do her work "Ok, Ed, you know what you need to do." Edward laid down on his stomach and moved his arm onto the bedside table. Winry unattached his arm and leg and fixed them. Edward sniveled in pain from the nerves reconnecting. After she fixed him, Edward said something without thinking "What do you want to do?" "What?" Ed blushed at what he just said "Ummm…well…what I mean is uhhh…the way of the world is Equivalent Exchange and I uhhh…" Edward flustered. Winry smiled "Ok then I'll see you later at 5:30." She giggled, packed up her supplies and went off. Ed was sitting there staring at the closed door. Thankfully, the Colonel was not there to tease or mock him.
