I know i have been gone far to long, and i tried. Belive me i tried. But it took FMA to bring me back to life. This will be a two or three parter. I hope you enjoy. Dont give me pointless feedback like "IT SUCKS" but more constructive like "BETTER CHECK YOUR SPELLING" or " I LOVE IT".
Btw, i dont own FMA, Ed, Al, Linda, Winry (wish i did) or anything from the show.
A warm, glowing light surrounded Linda as she stood before the window. The tree behind her gave her an aura of warmth, while the snow fell outside. This would have been an almost perfect Christmas if it hadn't been for that damn landlord. If she couldn't pay 60 pounds at the end of the week, the whole orphanage would be out in the cold. If only those 'protectors' weren't there every week, she would have a chance. But no matter how hard she prayed in church at Sunday, they would always come on Monday, to claim every penny they earned for their protection. If she didn't pay, they wouldn't protect her anymore. Most likely protection from them. She pressed her hands against her face as she fought the tears. She couldn't stop them though, and they wet her fingers and wrists. She doesn't know how long she stood there, but as she looked up it still snowed. She stared for a while, and started to frown. She could have sworn she saw movement in the snow, but it was gone now. She sighed and turned to go to bed. As she was about to walk up the stairs, she heard a thump on the door. She turned and froze.
Should she open the door? She knew they were coming, so it wouldn't really matter. She put her had on the handle to open the door as another thump came. She startled, and in reaction pulled it open. Through the blaze that came in she saw two hooded figures supporting each other. She held her robe closed to her chest and called the two in. They stumbled in and fell to the floor right after. She closed the door and turned to see blond hair stick out of one of the hoods. She called for help.
When Ed opened his eyes, he saw white. Again. It took him a while to realize he was warm, and that the white was not snow, or not even white, but a white brown yellow shade. It was a ceiling that needed serious help. He stared up, and thought it was calling out to him for help. And then it hit him. "What! Where am I! Where's Al!" he yelled as he got up abruptly. He saw a young girl in a corner, a wet cloth in her hand, with wide eyes of fear. He scared her. She couldn't be more than 16 years old, and he scared the jiffies out of her. He turned his head to find his first priority. He saw Al sitting in bed, with a bowl of what seemed to be soup in hi hands. "Good morning nii-san." He cheerfully said as he took a sip.
"I'm sorry if I scared you" Ed said. "But where are we? The last thing I remember is that snow storm." She put the cloth away and sighed softly. "You're at the Holy Maria's orphanage. You wandered in during the storm last night and you looked pretty bad, so I picked you up. Don't get me wrong, but you'll have to leave as soon as the storm settles." Ed glanced at Al who shrugged his shoulders, as if saying he didn't understand either. Al looked at the girl and wanted to speak, but she straightened her back and took on a form of authority. Al fell silent while he stared at her. Ed sighed and took the lead. "Are you in some kind of trouble? Because if you are, we need to help you. You save our live yesterday; we can't walk away from that. Besides, were the fullmetal trouble shooters." For a moment she lost her composure, but regained it immediately. "There is no need for that. I have ever" She was interrupted by a bang on the door, and a low voice calling her name. Her eyes took a scared look as she turned to the door and took a jump through. As if one, Ed and Al got up to go after her to see what was going on.
I know, its not big. Have patience. Thell get have to, or it wont fit into 3 chps.
