Magic Works

This story is very very fluffy... VERY FLUFFY!

Song by The Weird Sisters

Characters belong to J.K. Rowling, not me, sadly… cries

It was the night of Bill and Fleur's wedding. The night had gone pretty smoothly and it was almost four a.m. The band was playing their last song.

'This one's going out to all the lovers out there tonight

hold each other tight and

keep each other warm…'

Ron and Hermione were sitting on complete opposite sides of the room. They'd had yet another of their famous rows and feelings were still hurt. Hermione looked pensive and Ron looked like he wanted to kick himself.

'And dance….

your final dance

This is…

your final chance

to hold the one you love

you know you've waited

long enough…'

The melody played on, but those lines brought both Ron and Hermione to their feet. Almost as if they were under a spell, they met in the middle of the dance floor.

'So believe

that magic works

don't be afraid

of being hurt

Don't let

this magic die

the answer's there

just look in her eyes'

No words were spoken, but, almost instinctively, Ron placed his hands on Hermione's waist and she melted into his arms. They danced slowly, savoring the serene, simple moments. They both knew, in that instant, that there was no parting now.

'And make

Your final move

Don't be scared

She wants you to

Yeah it's hard

You must be brave

Don't let this moment

Slip away.'

After that last verse, Ron leaned down, Hermione looked up and they kissed. It was the first, perfect kiss that would spark a life-long relationship.

'But believe

That magic works

Don't be afraid…

Afraid of being hurt

No don't let

This magic die

Oh the answer's there

Oh just look in her eyes…

Don't believe this magic can die

Oh no this magic can't die-

So dance

Your final dance

Cause this is

Your final chance….'

Hermione and Ron smiled, as if to promise each other that it wasn't their final dance
