11Curiosity Killed The Gary

This is my first Pokefic. It's just a simple drabble. It was actually my 12-year-old little sister's idea. Well, here goes…
Ash was taking a break from his travels and decided to go back home to Pallet Town to rest for a while...
"Mom! I'm off to Professor Oak's lab now!"
"Okay, honey! Be back before dinner time, kay?"
"Sure thing, Mom! C'mon Pikachu!"
"Pika! Pi!"
Ash arrived at the Professor's laboratory…
"Hey Professor Oak! Hey Tracey! It's me, Ash!" Ash cried.
"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu said.
Ash giggled. "Oh yeah. Pikachu's here too."
"Hello Ash!" Professor Oak and Tracey said in unison.
"It's good to see you two again!" Professor Oak said.
"It's good to see you too, Professor!"
"How are you doing, Pikachu?" Tracey asked.
"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu replied.
Tracey giggled. "That's good."
"Well if it isn't old Ashie-boy!" said a familiar voice. It was Ash's old rival, Gary Oak.
"Gary! What are you doing here?" Ash asked.
"Oh I was just taking a break and I decided to drop by Pallet Town. You?"
"Same reason."
"Well, isn't this just great!" Tracey said. "I'm going to the kitchen to whip up a great feast! Hey, Pikachu. Would you like to go play with your friends outside?"
"Pi! Pi! Pika-chu!"
Tracey lead Pikachu outside and disappeared into the kitchen. Suddenly, Professor Oak remembered something.
"Ash could I see your Pokedex for just a quick second?" he asked.
"Sure thing Professor."
Professor Oak finished tinkering with Ash's Pokedex…
"There you go, Ash."
"Uh, what did you do to it, Professor?" Ash asked.
"Oh, I just upgraded it a bit. Now, it gives you even more information. It gives you very specific information." Professor Oak replied.
"Let me see that thing!" Gary said, grabbing the Pokedex out of Ash's hand.
Gary began using the newly-improved Pokedex on his Pokemon, and it was, indeed, even more specific. Just out of curiosity, Gary flashed the Pokedex at Ash…

Can be very big-headed and sometimes refuses to listen to advice… okay, okay, ALWAYS refuses to listen to advice.
"Wow! This thing is new and improved!" Gary commented.
He got a very bad beating from Ash after that…
