Life. Who would've thought that one simple little word could be so complicated? Life is something that most people strive to define, but can never get it just right. We are asked questions by many people throughout our lives that ask what we want to do when we grow up, are we going to college, do we want a family of our own, where do we want to live and countless other things.

We as humans try to find out the meaning of life and why we are on this planet to begin with. The truth is, that nobody knows exactly what is going to happen and your plans will more than likely change more than once. We don't know who are friends are going to be, our siblings, our lovers, our children, and even our enemies and we don't know where we are going to live in the world or what events are going to change our lives forever.

A famous saying that is said by many is to "expect the unexpected", but how many of us really know what it means? How can you really prepare for something that may happen? We can prepare for disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, or other events by planning ahead with life insurances policies, college funds, emergency savings funds, and even first aid kits. I can assure you one thing; I never expected my life to contain so many unexpected situations, and I could've never prepared myself even if I knew these events were coming.
