Summary: Sirius' reactions after finding out that his brother Regulus has become a Death Eater. One-shot.
Seventeen-year-old Sirius Black's blue eyes zoned, aimed, spotted. His lithe body separated itself, without conscious movement, from his friends. Strongly furious hands grabbed without thinking. Electrically blue eyes sparked as he glared death by Cruciatus at his certainly-as-stupid-as-any-buffoon-could-possibly-be little brother, Regulus.
"What—the—fuck—is—on—your—arm—Regulus—Arcturus—Black?" Sirius seethed, snatching his brother's arm from the air right as his cloak's sleeve slipped just an inch too far.
Regulus startled, and then struggled in vain in his attempt to rip his still tender left forearm from his stronger older brother. "Get your filthy traitorous hands the fuck off me, Gryffindor!" he spat savagely.
Sirius' eyes blazed fire as he clenched his brother's arm even harder, watching red pressure marks spreading around where his iron fingers dug into Regulus' pale skin. He shook his brother's sleeve down mercilessly as Regulus' muscles tensed and strained. He ignored the dangerous mutters coming from Regulus' posse of older Slytherins. James and Remus would handle them if need be.
"That's what I fucking thought," he hissed, staring down at the dark tattoo emblazoned on his only brother's arm. "What the FUCK were you thinking, little brother?"
Remus tore his arm away from his brother in his moment of vulnerable distraction. "I was thinking I would earn some motherfucking honor for the noble House of Black. I was thinking I would make my parents proud for once, something you could never do. I was thinking that the Dark Lord's values—the family values—were a hell of a lot more important than fucking dunderhead Dumbledore and a bunch of half-wit Mudbloods and half-breeds," he declared, nodding towards the Marauders behind Sirius, who were standing straight, with angry eyes and twitching hands. "I was thinking that you aren't my fucking brother anymore, traitor."
"Were you now?" Sirius said softly. "Well then I guess this is the end then, isn't it, Regulus?" the ever-cheerful Marauder somberly asked.
"Well I guess so, Sirius," the younger Slytherin said snidely. "I'll miss you, brother dearest," he scowled, blending back into his posse of Slytherins and slithering down the hall towards the dungeouns.
"Goodbye brother dearest," Sirius murmured quietly. "I'll miss you, little brother."
