George looked at his watch, it was seven, it should happen anytime now.
Just on cue, Hermione rushed in, ran right into George, and kissed him. Ron watched in outrage, as his wife snogged his brother! He stood up and marched up to them, and dragged Hermione off of George, who was eagerly kissing her back.
"Ronald, let go of me!" Hermione shouted, fighting her way out of her husband's arms, and grabbing George again, "I love you!" She whispered loud enough for the two men to hear.
George grinned up at his brother, but then realised that it wasn't a good thing for Ron, and although George had planned this, without Hermione's consent, he then realised he hadn't thought about what would happen if the whole family was there, in the Burrow. He saw his mum and cowered, her face was red, and she was angry, Ron was just behind her, and together they were scary. George moved back a pace bringing with him Hermione, a human shield. Hermione hugged into him, muttering the same three words over and over again, "I love you." George of course was the only one to know about the strange behaviour, and if he got a moment to explain…well he wouldn't explain, he'd be in worse trouble…that was the problem with love potion.
Flashback
George had been planning this for months, after Ron had cheated him out of 100 galleons and although he didn't know how he'd done it, he still knew it was him and that made George even madder, he needed to get him back, and the best way to do that was to use his family, and that included Hermione, feeding her love potion, but Hermione would kill him…and so would Ron. But it was worth it! He hoped...
End Of Flashback
"What have you done, George Weasley?" His mother shouted.
"N-nothing…I only gave her a drink…with perhaps a little love potion! But it's his fault!" He shouted pointing at Ron, "He cheated me out of 100 galleons, and you think I'm going to let him get a way with that?" Hermione was still cowering into his chest, she was scared of Molly, and he would have found this funny, if he hadn't realised how much he liked being this close to Hermione! This was not good! And how had he never noticed this before, afterall Hermione was a pretty girl, she was smart and he was in love...with his brothers wife! God help him!
"But you think charming his wife to love you will get you back 100 galleons? What do you think you're playing at? Now undo it!" Molly shouted.
"Fine!" He (confusedly) muttered the counter curse, and Hermione looked up to see who she was hugging, she gave a confused frown, remembered and stepped back, either in horror at how it must have looked, or at how much she liked it in his arms, either way, she stepped back in shock, to stare at her husband, who was glaring at her, wondering whether she truly had meant it, or was really under the love potion.
But where he usually saw love staring out at him, he found confusion, and couldn't find a hint of love…oh, God, he thought, she's fallen for George! Ron stepped against the doorway, his jaw dropped and he left in a POP! As Hermione let a tear drop down her face, Molly watched the scene, she'd seen it too, the look in Hermione and George's eyes, she watched as they turned to each other and after about a minute, she moved her hand from her mouth and hurried out of the room, even confused herself, George smoothed a tear away and leaned down to kiss her.
Hermione thought of Ron for a moment, and thought about the looks he'd been giving Luna 'Loony' Lovegood the other day at dinner, and the one's Luna been sending back…Everything had worked out perfectly! Well, at least for now!
