By the Light of the Moon

Ginny's P.O.V

It is the six month anniversary of the final battle that was fought at Hogwarts. It has been six months. Six long months if you ask me. Too long, really. You know why? Because the man that I am waiting on to sweep me off my feet hasn't said anything about our past relationship. What am I supposed to think? What am I supposed to do, wait?

It had been six months. Six bloody fantastic months! What I been doing during those months? Nothing, but trying to avoid the me-and-Ginny relationship. Not today, though. It has been too long. Too long since I've felt her lips on mine and her touch on my flesh. It has been too long.

Tonight at dinner was a big feast. We had everyone there including little Teddy Lupin. The only people that weren't there were the people that we had lost in the war. We recognized them by having a moment of silence. We shall always remember them. Forever and Always.

After dinner, I asked Ginny could I talk to her. She nodded her head and I knew my plan was a go. I smiled in spite of myself and she smiled back. My heart soared and shivers went down my spine. I grabbed her hand and guided her into the late fall breeze. I looked into her eyes once we got to the location. She looked into mines questionably.

When he grabbed my hand, the beating of my heart skipped. Now, we were outside looking into each other's eyes. I knew something big was about to happen. Harry began to talk, "Ginny, I know I've been a big jerk ever since the end of the war, but if you would just give me a chance… I'll make it up to you."

He then leaned in…

After my explanation, I leaned in towards her and gave her a kiss. When my lips finally touched her, she gasped and immediately responded. I smiled and we broke apart. She was smiling like I was, and her eyes seemed to dance. We laughed at our current situation and kissed again.

We continued to kiss under the heavens and stopped some minutes later to catch our breath. I reached up and touched his cheek and said, "I love you."

He didn't say anything at first, but he finally said the words: "I love you. I always have."

I grinned at him and sad, "Finally, Mr. Potter."

And we held hands and went back towards the Burrow by the light of the moon.
