Special Desire, You're My Fire

A memory:

"If you were on a desert would you rather…"

"I would rather be there with my twin and we'll die together."

"Oh wow. Great answer or should I say our survival?"

"You know why I can answer like that? Because I can, Padma. Deal with it. Besides, you're just jealous because I outsmarted you, again!"

"Oh hush and sit down so I can give you a back massage, that's if you still want it."

She squealed and scurried over to get her gift.

A memory:

She leaned in and gave me a kiss. I gasped and responded immediately. My heart seemed to have stopped as we kissed. This was a new step into out secret relationship we had developed over the years as sisters. I was glad we were making this step, finally. I'll always treasure this moment.

A memory:

This morning I woke up with a smiled on my face as I remembered the night before. I bit my lip and looked at the sleeping figure next to me. There she was. Her hair sprawled over the pillow and her face was laying upon it with certain softness to it. I knew she was having a good dream, hopefully about me.

A memory:

"Padma, don't be mad at me."

"But, I can't stop being angry. You – you..."

"I know what I did! Mother was – is right. It is time."

"No, no, no! I don't want to start… start…"

"Dating? I know! But it's kinda cool, isn't it? I mean, stepping out beyond us, what we regularly do."

She took my hand and kissed it.

"You know she's right, right?"

"Yeah, yeah I do. Thank God that the Yule Ball is coming up!"

We laughed ay our situation and parted to our common rooms.

A memory:

Parvarti was running towards me at full speed. She had tears streaming down her light brown tanned cheeks. I was immediately frightened, frightened that the fear that I had been hiding had become true. Ever since she started dating that infamous seventh year, that fear has been bottles inside of me. Deep inside my heart, I knew it had came true.

She fell into my arms crying her eyes out. I gently patted her on the back. I asked, "Varti, what's wrong?"

She responded, "He-he…"

She didn't need to say much more.

"No! No, he didn't!" She nodded.

I closed my eyes. My fears had been confirmed. My heart shattered.

A memory:

Today was graduation, finally. The war was over and everything was almost as it is supposed to be. When I say almost, I mean that today was the last day that we were going to be together before we were going to be permanently apart.

Tonight we're going to party all night… in bed of course. Tonight will be the last time we'll be able to do what we used to do. The last time we will be able to have our way with each other.

Present Time

I went through random memories of Parvarti and me. I sighed as I saw her and her fiancé, John, kiss as the New Year's Eve became New Year's Day. I looked down as soon as they disconnected their lips. A tear slipped from my eyes and I quickly wiped it away. There was a hand on my shoulder and I looked up and saw Hermione.

"Cheer up Padma. She'll always remember you and the relationship you guys used to have together." I nodded.

"Thanks." She nodded and went away.

She was the only person who knew about us and the only person who will ever know.

Parvarti's P.O.V.

"Hold on John. Let me go get my coat."

I went back inside into the party that was still raging and went to grab my coat when I saw a letter addressed to me on it. I opened it and read:

Special desire, you're my fire. Remember me.

I closed the note and smiled. I kissed it and placed it close to my heart.

"I'll remember," I whispered.
