A game of poker
100/gamble
Life is full of choices.
One could say life is, due to so many choices, one big gamble. Hermione, being really rational, wasn't so fond of that perspective. Now, at the age of 28, she had learned life was certainly one big poker game.
She had gambled with her life, and the life of the ones she loved. Hermione had the luck to get a good hand. Or perhaps she got the luck to be so bright she could make out the difference between a good and a bad hand.
Perhaps she was reckless, after Harry died, nothing really mattered any more. She got reckless then, reckless, but still rational. Perhaps she just was lucky after all.
She had the choice between getting an ugly tattoo, and save her life, or be killed. But Hermione created her own choice. She didn't get a dark mark, but made an unbreakable vow, to serve Lord Voldemort.
Maybe this shocks you. It has shocked man people to see Hermione Granger standing next to Bellatrix Lestrange in the ranks. But to people who paid attention, people like Ginny, and myself. It made common sense. On the "bright" side, she was the girlfriend of Ron, here, she was the Brain.
But even in the dark side, Voldemort underestimated Hermione. Maybe he let her to close, maybe he fell in love with her, if he was ever capable of showing such an emotion.
Maybe he started to get reckless to.
In the end, after Hermione took over, and killed Voldemort, it's just al speculations. Now one knows, not even Pansy, and if someone is close to Hermione, it's Pansy.
Hermione hates speculations. So why does she let us live in a world full of speculations. She rules the death eaters now. But who got she to fight, now all the members of the order are death, of fled with her (Ginny, myself, Pansy, Fleur)
We don't know which cards we get, we only know who is already out, and who isn't
Harry died long ago, Ron not so long ago. Her parents? They stay in Australia forever if it's up to her. Fortunately for Hermione, it is up to her.
That are the facts we now.
The rest?
Speculations, cause cards are never certain.
We thought the fighting would be over, the killings would be over, everything would be over.
Especially now Hermione won.
But the targets have just changed.
It's no longer a fight against muggles and mudbloods.
It's a figtht against men.
