Girl in the Corner

She sits in the corner,

All by herself.

Hoping no one sees her,

Alone with no help.

They poke and prod,

At her clothes and her hair.

With their harsh hateful words,

Like knifes in her heart.

She doesn't look like them,

So no one cares.

An outcast, a loner,

She is a disease.

Just because she is different;

She just doesn't fit in.

They think it all right,

To make fun of her.

No one speaks up.

To stop this injustice.

It just doesn't seem fair,

To pick on the girl who sits in the corner.
