Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
Who knew that charity could feel so good?
The ordeal had started as a grudging visit to the charity Ino was helping with. The idea was to sell mistletoe, two days before Christmas.
Sakura, being Ino's best friend, was obligated to go and give moral support, as well as add to the proceeds, nevermind the fact that she was single and completely alone.
So she had bought several dollars worth of the plant.
As fate would have it, the mistletoe would soon come in handy.
What Sakura didn't know, was that there was a second part to the charity. Moral support was not the only reason she had been forced to be there.
For all the singles that bought mistletoe, they would get a raffle ticket for every dollar's worth of the Christmas plant they purchased.
At the end of the evening, the person whose ticket was drawn would win a prize.
What Sakura didn't know, was that she was the prize.
The winner would win an evening with her.
Needless to say, Sakura was furious when she found out.
However, when she saw the person she would be spending the Christmas Eve with, her anger died into thanks.
He had beautiful silky blond hair, pulled back in a ponytail. One blue eye was blocked by blond bangs. He was tall, and gorgeous.
After setting the time for when they would meet, they parted ways, Sakura grateful that the winner of the raffle was the blond man, whose name she had found out was Deidara, and not some old geezer with nothing better to do than to buy mistletoe that would never be used.
Christmas Eve with Deidara was a blur. Sakura enjoyed her night thoroughly, all of it, especially the few moments leading up to now.
After all, she was currently involved in possibly the best kiss she had ever experienced.
He had invited her back to his apartment. He lived in a large penthouse, filled with beautiful paintings and sculptures. He was not shy about claiming them all as his.
Then she stumbled upon a rather large box in a corner. Deidara caught her looking curiously at it and smirked. Opening it, he displayed various powders and containers.
Apparently, he had a thing for making fireworks, loving the moment when they exploded in a show of color and light.
He showed her an impossibly small one, small enough to explode in the middle of his living room without harming any of the furniture surrounding it. It was beautiful, and when she told him that, he looked at her with his piercing blue eyes and told her that she was beautiful too.
And then he pointed up.
She looked, and in that few moments of distraction, he leaned forward and captured her lips with his.
Sakura briefly caught a glimpse of the hanging mistletoe above them. Then she she closed her eyes and let herself go in the kiss.
