It was an ordinary day, following my ordinary routine. Everything around me seemed ordinary. It seemed dull and gray. Too me, life seemed like a routine. You are born, you live a life where something tragic happens, then you die. It is like a cycle. Cycling over, over, and over again. To different people, different lives, different places, but it always seems to go back to the same thing in the end. Death.
To some it scares the crap out them, some find it entrancing, some just take it as it comes. I was 19 when I died. I had no family nor friends. No funeral, no pets, no boyfriend, just myself.
I don't really know what happened to me after I got killed. I just remember waking up. And that's what I did.
I opened my eyes. I was laying on a park bench. I saw trees, lots and lots of trees. Where am I?
"Good, you're awake." I turned around to try and find the unfamiliar male's voice. But when I turned he was sitting right next to me. I gasped. He chuckled a bit.
"How do you feel?" He asked trying to be polite. But, I noticed he took this as an advantage to take a long look at me from head to toe. I watched as he subconsciously licked his lips.
"What is your name?" I asked.
"Oh, where are my manners? My name is Chase." He smiled at me. It was kind of a creepy smile, but it still looked good on him, "Your name is Amelia."
I narrowed my eyes. "How did you know that?" Chase started playing with my dark hair.
"I have been watching you for awhile." He whispered in my ear. I felt him inhale my essence. It felt like he was inhaling me whole. I was frozen in place.
"Why?"
"You're beautiful." I heard him murmur against my neck.
"Why?" I repeated.
"Because you are perfect. Exactly what I needed. You are going to help me." He responded looking into my eyes.
"For what?"
"Revenge." Chase said it like the most obvious think in the world. Maybe it was.
"And what will happen if I don't help you." I asked slightly afraid of what the outcome would be.
"I brought you back from the dead, Amelia. There was something I saw special in you. Could have been the rebellion, the anger I saw in you, and the looks helped too. But, I can always send you back." Chase said, "It's your chose, but I will get what I want either way."
"So, if I help you get revenge on, whatever it is you want revenge on, other then me coming back to life? Which is a mystery to me on how that happened. What else would I get?" He grinned. I was going to help him. I had nothing. I am 19, well was 19. I'm still/was young. I don't want to be dead yet. He grinned because he knew it. He knew it damn well too.
"I can give you another life of course. Food, shelter, clothing, car, education, job, friends." He added friends because I never had any. I was always the weird Goth girl, "All in return for you to do something for me."
"Which would be?" He grinned a wicked grin.
It is like servanty. I do as he asks. I do it obediently. Why he chose me? I still don't quite understand. He says he is a kind master. He let's me live freely (if you could call it that), if I just do a little something for him in return.
My job is to destroy the Sons of Ipswich. How? I do not know. He says he will give me instructions and that it will be easy. All I have to do is leer them in, and he will take over from there. Why he couldn't do that himself, he says it is because I am a female. A beautiful female. An intelligent female. Though I love the way he put it, something just feels off to me. Strange.
I was on my way to Spencer Academy in Ipswich, Massachusetts. What was I getting myself into?
