This was never supposed tot happen, but It did. She was supposed to get married to Ron. Everyone thought they were in love with each other. Everyone thought WRONG. She fell for the most unlikely person, and it would shock everyone who found out. Well everyone but Luna Lovegood. It was obvious to the younger girl that Hermione had been in love with Ginny Weasley. Luna had caught her alone one day and said, " time is too short to hide from your feelings. It would be better if people just be honest and say how they felt. Oh hello Hermione, I didn't see you there. I can't stay, I have to look for the nargles." As Luna skips away; " Thank you Luna," I call after her. 'I know Luna's right which mean I have to tell Ginny how I feel. The worst she could say was she didn't feel the same. Or she could hate me forever. But if I don't tell her then I'll never know what could have been. Guess I'll have to find my Gryffindor courage and tell her.'
I found Ginny outside flying around the quidditch pitch. When she saw me she waved, and flew down about a foot or so from me. As I scan the area around us I realize no one else is around but us. 'At least it'll be a private conversation' I think to myself. "Hi Ginny, can I talk to you?" "Sure Hermione," Ginny says smiling at me. 'Now or never,' I say to myself. " Ginny even if you don't like what I tell you, just…. try and keep an open mind." Ginny only nodded her head; worry filled her eyes. "Ginny I'm in love with you and have been since 2nd year. I just had to tell you, but if you hate me I understand." My eyes filled with tears as I finished the last sentence. Several minutes had passed until I couldn't take it anymore. "Ginny say something!" the redhead smiled, and tackled me to the ground kissing me senseless. They broke away only when air became a problem. Still breathless Ginny said " I never expected you to return my feelings. Merlin if I knew you fancied me, I would have asked you out ages ago. I can't believe you feel the same, oh Hermione I love you too, so much." Ginny brought me back in for another passionate kiss that again left us breathless. "Oh Ginny you've made me so happy," I struggled to get out. 'Guess the effects of the kiss are still effecting me. I love it! I love her! She's perfect! everything is perfect now!' I think happily.
It had all been unexpected, but that's what makes life and people great.
