A/N: Just a short little thing that wouldn't leave me alone. One-sided IshiHime. Un-beta'd, but I figured the world wouldn't tremble very hard if one girl made a few mistakes in one tiny little fanfiction.

Disclaimer: If I owned this series, they'd already be together. Seriously.

"Who Is Orihime?"

"Ishida-kun? Wake up, you've fallen asleep in the library again."

The page he had been resting on stuck to his cheek as he pulled his head up. "Huh? What time is it?"

"Seven thirty."

"Seven thirty?" Something seemed to click. "Oh, Matsuo-san, I am so sorry! I was supposed to meet you at five."

"I'm almost used to it."

"I really am sorry."

"Who is Orihime?"

Ishida was struck by both the seeming randomness of it, and how strange his former classmate's name sounded on his girlfriend's lips. "Ah, she was a classmate of mine, before I came here."

"Do you see her often?"

"I haven't seen her in at least a year. What's with all the questions?"

"You were mumbling about her in your sleep, is all."

"Oh." The silence that ensued hung heavily around them, suddenly oppressive.

"Do you love her?"

"What? No!"

"Liar."

He was stung not so much by the accusation, but by the idea that he was so transparent. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because, Ishida!" She whispered angrily, not daring to draw the strict librarian's attention. For months, I have been waiting for three words form you. It's all I've wanted. A simple 'I love you, Reika-chan'. But no! I've been stood up again, and I come in to retrieve you, only to hear you say 'I love you, Orihime'! And not only that you haven't seen her in more than a year, and still you care more about her than you do about me."

"I...don't know what do say."

"Tell me I'm wrong," she said desperately. "Please, Ishida-kun. Tell me I've got this all mixed up. Tell me you love me."

"I'm so sorry."

She sighed and walked away. "That's what I thought."
