A baby chapter for you. I know, its short, but couldn't find the inspiration to do another huge one, just yet. I just have no motivation these days. I blame school. Yick. I must look for my muse, its hiding somewhere...under a rock in a cave in the arctic.
I don't own Bleach...but I girl can dream
And thank you to RukiLex, the greatest beta eva!...especially since you're so busy :)
"Goodness me"
"What?" said a sleepy voice from the bed.
"I believe I just saw Ichigo Kurosaki scale Ms. Kuchiki's back fence and let himself in through the kitchen door."
"What? How can he do that?"
"Because he still knows where the spare key is."
The woman in the bed sat up and rubbed her eyes, her purple hair mussed around her head, out of its usual up-do. Reaching for the nightstand, she grabbed a hair tie and pulled her long hair into a ponytail, then swung her legs out of bed and padded over to the window where her partner stood. She looked out across the dark street but saw nothing but the large house that used to belong to them. In truth it had technically belonged to him, but during her frequent visits, she had considered it their home.
"I don't see anything," she said, sounding annoyed even though she was half asleep.
"He's inside now, and I imagine that he's being as quiet as he always was. I give it two minutes before Ms. Kuchiki will be approaching him with a baseball bat."
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"You don't sound concerned. What if she bludgeons him?"
He chuckled and shook his head.
"Master Kurosaki is far too thick skulled to allow a tiny bump on the head to slow him down."
She raised her other eyebrow and turned back to go to bed when his arm caught around her waist and spun her back towards him. The fingers that had been resting against the window, slipped under the hem of her white vest and she jumped then growled, slapping him lightly on the chest. Feeling him laugh, she curled her talons into the back of his neck. He paused and removed his fingers, wrapping them around her instead. Satisfied, she draped her arm over his shoulder and traced circles between his shoulder blades with her nails, resting her head in the crook between his neck and shoulder, cheek on his chest. This time the sigh he gave was deep, as his chin brushed the top of her head.
Resting her other hand on his shoulder, she breathed in the smell of his skin, warm and soft, like their bedroom in the evening and the garden when the plants were beginning to die and the leaves were crunchy. She turned and kissed the smooth nub of his collar bone, shutting her eyes. As she did, she felt his arms tighten around her body.
"I missed you this time," he murmured lowly, into her hair.
"As opposed to usual," she chuckled, and he slapped her lightly on the back then squeezed her.
"Don't worry, love," she said, nestling closer, "I won't take so long next time."
On to some sad news...
I hate doing this but I think I will have to put this on...gyah, I can't even say it...hiatus. I've just been re-reading my reviews for Ring Around the Moon and there are so many lovely ones for just two chapters I think I should probably focus on that and the Naruto trilogy. I feel bad but I just don't have the discipline to keep up three at once and school work.
But if you can go and read theRAtheM instead. I actually have the whole of that one worked out and I know what will happen. I only have to re-write a little of chapter two to alter the story, and then we're away with it. Plus the readers on DA (hello to those of you who have come and found me here) will probably be waiting another 8 months for a chapter of The Mark and the Monster if I don't do this.
I hate this! I'm sorry! I really really am, I will try to update in between other things but until I finish at least one of my others this must take second place :(
