The Unwilling Doors
He stood outside the building. He didn't know how long he had been trying, but it was well over an hour.
It seemed so simple. Just turn the knob and push, and a way you go.
But what seemed so simple to everyone else, did not come easy for him. No, it wasn't working, though he had seen thousands of others accomplish this task on a daily basis.
What did he ever do wrong? Why didn't he deserve to walk inside as much as anyone else?
He tried once more, to no avail. He turned around, finally ready to give up, when he saw something from the corner of his eye.
PULL
He had realized what he was doing wrong. When he opened the door, he heard laughter from behind him.
"Couldn't figure out how to open a door, Eddie?" Emmett choked out.
"Really, Edward. It's been almost two hours." Carlisle chastised.
Everyone else was basically rolling on the floor, even Esme.
The mind reader, who had never lost to anyone and was always full of smart alec remarks, had been stumped by a door.
AN/ This is what happens when you put my friend Hayley and I in a room, and let us get bored. Yeah...
