LADIES OF SAMCRO
Gemma
Gemma stood in the office of Teller-Morrow garage and surveyed her domain. For even though the men of SAMCRO owned and ran it and the club she was in charge, and she knew
it.
She had been there from the beginning with first John then Clay. She wondered how things would change when Jax took over. That would be interesting. She just hoped she was
around to see it. Lately there had been some things happening that could threaten SAMCRO'S future, and with Clay's arthritis getting worse she was waiting for the day when he
would have to give up the Presidents spot of SAMCRO. That might break him. When Jax took over she would be there for him too. However she was well aware that Tara might
influence him more that she could. But Gemma wasn't the type to go away quietly. She worried about Jax being strong enough to handle the reins of the club. She sometimes
thought he didn't have the strength to make the hard decisions that being president required. He had too much compassion, just like John did. Clay could be merciful but he could be
brutal when necessary and he had Tig to help. Gemma sometimes thought a few of the men were too weak too protect the club. Not enough hardness to be brutal when it was
called for. She thought I would be a great President if woman could run the club. What a world that would be. She was a survivor and a fighter who took care of her family and
would and has killed to protect them. But those were secrets that she would take to her grave along with plenty of other ones. That ATF bitch had it right when she said that the
secrets in her head would destroy SAMCRO. She had no idea. Gemma smiled to herself and thought maybe I should write a journal to record all I know. That would have to be
something that no one ever found out about. Maybe start a written history of SAMCRO for Abel when he got older. Like John's journal that Jax was always reading. But could she
include everything she knew? Depends on how Abel turned out. With Jax as a father it would be something to see. Jax had more hardness than John but not as much as Clay.
However lately she had seen signs that he was getting more strength to be hard when it was called for. In a way it made her sad to see that part of him change. He was the last
link she had to the part of John that she fell in love with. The man with so much love and heart. But in her world that couldn't last if you wanted to survive. She had seen too many
people die for being weak. That was one reason she appeared to be so hard. No one messed with you if they thought you would retaliate when pushed too far. She wasn't mean
just not a pushover like some of the women she knew. The crow eaters and hangers on were doormats in her opinion who deserved everything they got for allowing men to treat
them that way. Even the ones that eventually became old ladies weren't strong enough. Tara was because she walked away all those years ago. She could survive outside the club.
She had a life of her own. Even though Gemma hated her for breaking Jax's heart she respected her for her strength, not that she would ever admit that. She was the one person
Gemma could see taking her place in the future. Who knows she might be better than Gemma. But for now Gemma was still the Queen and she wouldn't let anyone forget it.
