Tai looked behind him again. He knew they were going to get attacked, they always did. Recently, he had begun to suspect that one of the other Digi-Destined was signaling Piedmon and showing him where they were. Finally, he stopped the others and made camp, hoping he could get some rest.

He lay back, his arms behind his head. There was no way Tai could get any sleep. He was thinking too much. They had been doing an excellent job, considering they were just kids, but there was still something wrong. He wanted to just go off for a while and think, but he couldn't do that, he was the leader.

Who gave him the position of leader anyway? Maybe the same one that was setting them up? He was spending less time with the others now, staying well ahead during the day and keeping watch all night. He wouldn't sleep, just in case something happened.

No relief…He couldn't shake the strange feeling that something was watching them. He knew something was out there.

"WarGreymon! I'm coming!" But he couldn't. His body was too weak, and Tai knew that it had been his own fear that had been causing his paranoia. He hoped Matt, Joe and Mimi would return soon…He was dying and he knew it. His life was connected to WarGreymon's. And the Mega Digimon had been defeated. Matt ran up and cradled Tai in his arms. "Matt…You're here…I never doubted you…"
Matt's Crest flared with sudden light. Garurumon nudged WarGreymon with his snout. When the light finally subsided, Tai and WarGreymon had been fully restored. Tai was back, and now he was going to kick some Dark Master tail!
This is based on Offspring's 'Gotta Get Away' and look I'm not totally depressing! I was having a slight problem…ask TigerCat, she knows what I'm talking about. Isn't that right, rival? Heh heh heh…
