Here is just a little drabble and my first Leverage fic. I know, I know – I have my other story to finish and I promise I'm working on it! This just wouldn't leave me alone. Very short and kind of pointless but fun to write anyway. So here it is!
"How many times have you had a gun pointed at you?"
Eliot didn't jump at the sudden appearance of Parker. He had sensed someone else in the kitchen with him even if he hadn't actually heard her walk up to him. He continued chopping veggies for his morning omelet.
"More than I care to count." Came his lazy reply. Until he heard a click.
Eliot froze and flicked a surprised gaze towards Parker. Her face was serious and arm straight and unwavering as she held aimed the weapon at Eliot's chest.
"What are you doing Parker?"
"Have you ever been shot point blank Eliot?" Parker asked, curious, her head tilted to the side just a little. Eliot didn't look away from her but noticed movement off to the side. Hardison walked around the corner and stopped dead when he saw the scene in the kitchen.
"Wha-"
"Quiet Hardison," Parker said and Eliot growled simultaneously. The tall man raised both hands and slowly backed out of the room. As soon as he was out of sight he ran towards Nate's office.
"Been lucky darlin', have yet to be shot point blank." Eliot said, hands still in the air. "Parker, you know I can take that from you." Parker smirked.
"Show me."
In two seconds Parker saw the roles were reversed and was now staring down the barrel of the gun she had just been holding.
"Impressive." She said. Eliot was confused. He wasn't sure what was going on. Though, that wasn't unusual. There was something wrong with her.
"Eliot, put the gun down," Came Nate's voice.
Eliot ignored him and continued watching Parker. They both heard Sophie's overly-dramatic gasp and Eliot saw Parker roll her eyes.
"Eliot doesn't have the…" Hardison started as he came around he corner but then stopped when he saw roles had reversed. He scratched his head in confusion. "What's going on?"
No one said a thing until Parker turned to look at the others and shrugged.
"I want Eliot to teach me to be tough," Parker said, oblivious to the problem of her holding a gun to Eliot. When they all stared at her she rolled her eyes again and said "I wasn't going to shoot him for real."
Eliot dropped the arm holding the gun and smacked a hand over his face. Nate sighed and ran a hand through his hair as Sophie fanned herself with her hand. Hardison just continued to look lost.
"Is that gun real?" Hardison asked. Parker nodded and grinned.
Eliot tossed the gun on the table in pieces. He didn't like guns.
"Parker," Eliot grumbled, turning back to his now burnt omelet, "There's something seriously wrong with you."
