22Faster!
I panted, my arms pumping hard at my sides.
Faster! I thought, leaping over a log. You're almost there! Just go faster! Don't give up now! You've come too far to be overtaken. There was a screech from close behind and the sound of running feet.
Crap, crap, crap!
I pumped my arms faster and pushed myself harder. Just as I was about lose hope of ever reaching my haven, I saw a light through the trees.
There!
It was so close. With a new burst of energy I propelled myself over the border, jumping into the grass.
"Screee!" the fangirls cried smashing against the force field that kept them out.
I took a deep breath and stood up, and walked down the hill. Below me there a valley filled with houses and people milling around. This was the only haven in the Percy Jackson fandom.
Outside of this haven fangirls, suethors, and trolls ran amuck, destroying everything good about the fandom.
But there was a hope. Honest101 had started a group of people dedicated to helping the fandom. They fought against all that terrorized the Percy Jackson fandom. They called themselves the Veritas.
The Veritas were the ones who created this haven. Unfortunately the majority of the members no longer fought, but instead worked on making parts of the fandom beautiful, instead of just breaking down the terrors. Others did the same thing, never donning the name of Veritas, but instead just trying to make something great.
I was one of the fighters, trying to beat back the destroyers. Today the fangirls overwhelmed me, and I had to return here.
But despite all these efforts, the Percy Jackson fandom was falling into chaos. Everywhere you looked there was destruction, cliché plots, Mary Sues, OOCness, and so much more.
Behind me, everything was dark and screams of tortured characters rang out. Suddenly the valley seemed so much tinier and closed in.
This was battle that was lost. But we weren't going down without one heck of a fight.
So this is drabble-shot thing, so that's why it's so short. So yah. I enjoy writing about the turmoil of fanfiction too much...Oh well.
Also, I apologize to any oneshot/drabble I may have CCed for being to short, but please listen to the rest of the review. Chapter stories, you get no apology.
