Ron quickly cut off Hermione's long tirade of why house-elves deserved rights, "Pass the potatoes, Harry."
Hermione's eyes flashed with anger as she retorted, "Ronald, how do you know that they don't deserve rights if you won't even give me a chance to prove my point? If I brought this up with Magical Law Enforcement, perhaps the law about house-elves..."
Harry cut her off, "Yes yes, you'll amaze them with your debating prowess and then that law will be revoked." He turned to Ron. "Are you done? I want potatoes too, you know."
As Ron handed the potatoes back, Hermione started to lecture the boys again.
Ron cut her off again, clearly frustrated that she wasn't getting the point. "Oi! Hermione! Not everything in life is debatable!"
"Well, that's debatable," came the reply from an irate Hermione.
