Well it honestly seems like I may have never gotten the chance to come back here, the thought kept echoing in Ayame's mind. The dark shadow of the Ootori mansion was looming over her, making her almost regret returning to her home during broad daylight. Making her way up to the front door, she was trying to gain her cool composure back and to gain the courage to knock on the door. Not know who could possibly answer the door, she unwilling knocked and waited a few moments. When the door opened she was greeted by one of the older maids that had remembered her being in the household before she left for schooling in America for almost five years ago.
"Welcome back home Ms. Ootori, your siblings and father should be thrilled to see you've returned home quite safely." The maid said as she led Ayame through the main hall and had her take a seat in one of the guest rooms.
"Please wait a moment and I will inform your father of your return." She said and hurried out of the room leaving Ayame on her own.
Well heres hoping that my family hasn't completely forgotten about me… Let alone have Kyouya forget part of his being. Ayame thought, the maid who had escorted her into the house then returned and said, "Ms. Ootori your father would like to see you."
If I didn't feel like I was challenging the devil, I'd feel more comfortable hearing that my father would like to see me for the first time in a bit more than four years. After all he's the one who sent me to America to keep my away from my family, Ayame thought, as she stood up and followed the maid out of the guest room and down the hall towards her father's study. The maid opened the door of the study and stepped out of the way to let Ayame enter, and closed the door after she entered the study, of her own personal devil.
"I must admit, I'm quite glad you've returned home Ayame. You even returned four years earlier than I expected," Yoshio Ootori said before he let his daughter, Ayame, exit his study. "Fuyumi will be most certainly please that her younger sister is back, your three brothers shall be most pleased of your return as well."
"Yes father. I presume my siblings will be glad to see me. After I finish getting my possessions unpacked in my room, may I go up to Ouran so I can see Kyouya?" Ayame asked, if she were to be nowhere to be found her father would most certainly be displeased.
Mr. Ootori nodded at Ayame's request to see her brother. His nod also had another meaning, meaning to exit the study to leave him to his work. Ayame knowing the other meaning of the nod left the study in a slight hurry.
I need to finish unpacking quickly, if possible I may find Kyouya during a free period of time, Ayame thought as she hurried into her bedroom to unpack.
