A/N I got this idea randomly by looking in my DVD case and seeing the movie Ever After, with Drew Barrymore.

I thought that the mortal instruments characters would fit perfectly in these roles.

For those of you who haven't watched Ever After it's fairly easy to follow along with. Plus I'm going to be making some alterations on the story anyways.

But basically its Cinderella in France, in the 16th century.

I don't know if it's any good or not so please read and review, and tell me if you think that I should continue.

So without further ado…

Ever After

For the first seven years of my life I was the carefree and wild yet tamed child of wealth farmer in France. I had everything I could ever want, a father who loved me, three best friends, a house full of friendly servants, and a huge farm to do as I pleased on.

I never really knew my mother, due to the fact that she died when I was very young, but I was content with my father, Lucian Graymark. My father was a caring, loving, protective and loyal man. He gave me a book right before he left on his last journey; it was Thomas Moore's Utopia.

Finding new clients to sell to was hard so sometimes my father went away for long periods of time every couple of months. Once, around the time of my eighth birthday, my father had gone into the city for a couple weeks. He had sent a message back to the house saying that he had gotten married and that I would have a step mother, and two step sisters.

On the day of his arrive I was supposed to be all prim and proper, but I had gotten a little too carried away when I was painting with my best friend Isabelle. By the time I heard my father's carriage coming I had brown and green paint all over my dress.

I ran down stairs, out the door way, and to the carriages. What was waiting in front of me was, unknown at the moment, were going to be my worst nightmares.

Their names were Baroness Madeline (Mother dearest), Aline (Evil step sister number 1), and Kaelie (Evil step sister number 2).

This was my life, Clarissa (Clary) Fairchild- Graymark, a 16th century intelligent, feisty young girl, who is just trying to survive.

So? How was it? Please review and tell me if I should continue or not!

Thank you for reading!
